Pet care experience

WFH Producer, DJ, & animal lover!

I'm Caitlin, and I can't wait to meet your pet! When my dog Brendle and my cat Lily both crossed the rainbow bridge within the same year, I knew I wasn't going to be able to adopt for quite a while, emotionally speaking. Rover became a sort of therapy for me. When I had to travel, I dreaded leaving my babies anywhere - especially considering their separation anxiety and sensitivity. Knowing that I can provide the kind of care that I was so desperate to find for my own pets truly brings me joy. Your pet will be pampered throughout their stay at my Pet Hotel! Comfort is the baseline - my goal is to make your pet feel so at home and engaged, happy, and distracted from any anxieties. With each owner's permission, every guest is encouraged to cuddle on the couch, and they're welcomed to sleep in the bed! I also do therapeutic massages and make fresh home-cooked food (owner-approved, of course). Of course, guests get full toy chest privileges! They'll get walks multiple times on-demand throughout the day, lots of play and personal time, and they can hang out in my home studio and listen to me sing! Those are just some of the comforts included in a stay at my lovely little Pet Hotel. Prior to my music career I worked in neuropsychology, which I loved. After Covid, I chose to change things up! Now I work from my home studio, which gives me the opportunity to spend the entire day with your pup. I'm I'm well-experienced in administering many kinds of medications - via all different ways and means! I do live in a top-floor condo, and guests who can't do stairs are either carried or shown to the glamorous pee-pee station on my balcony! I see these pups as my nieces and nephews (in addition to the two human nephews I have)! I have flexibility in my schedule, so I can keep to any schedule you have for your pet! I may look small, but I'm quite fit and have thorough experience with large dogs and "bully" breeds. I also have plenty of experience caring for senior or special-needs animals. I consider each of my guests my little nieces and nephews! Whether it's you're a one night guest, a long-term stay, or a returning regular - once you stay with me, you're family!

Caitlin took amazing care of my Louie! She was super accommodating and kept an eye on his upset tummy for me. She gave updates every day and made me feel very at ease while I was away from him. He normally struggles with me leaving but he loved being there! He even tried to go back with her :) I would definitely try to book her again when I need someone.

Caitlin is our go-to sitter. As a family who travels often, we know our dog is in great hands every single time and can go away with peace of mind. We’re so grateful!

Caitlin was one of the best rover sitters we’ve had. Very attentive and responsive to what our dog needed. Excellent communication. We intend to use her again!

Caitlin was so awesome to our Maggie. She treated our dog like her own - let her on the furniture, made special food, took lots of walks, and gave her tons of love!! Sent us photos, videos, and was super responsive. Not sure if the dog wanted to come home :) Will definitely board with Caitlin again.

Schedule

I work from a home studio. Occasionally I travel for work, but I typically plan those trips many months in advance. I lost both my dog of 11 years and my cat of 3 (I found her abandoned at 10 years old), and it has left quite a void in my life. One of my favorite regular activities was walking my dog several times a day. Not only do I miss the bonding and routine, but I also loved the exercise! It's very easy to get caught up in creative projects and sit for hours - having guests with me keeps us both on schedule!

Safety, trust & environment

I don't have kids, so the home is always a quiet, calm environment (aside from my music and the same movies and series I watch over and over). No dangerous toys or baby gates! Pups are allowed on all furniture in all rooms. For larger pups, no-furniture pups, and even small pups who like to stretch out, I have a 10" thick Big Barker bed that was used by my now-passed 100-lb. Boxer mix. It's unsquishable and a favorite of all my guests! Rest assured all rooms are pooch-friendly (no chemicals, cleaners, or human food is left out). I live in a condo, but there is plenty of grass and nature just outside my door. I also live in a very safe, well-lit community full of fellow responsible dog-owners. There are sidewalks in all areas I use for walking. I live on the top floor, so if your pet can't do stairs, I'll carry them! If they're too heavy for me, I have a delightful little pee-pee station on my balcony until my partner comes home and can do the lifting for me! I always walk on a leash or lead of some type; I don't free-walk, unless at the owner's request within a safe area. I will not use a prong collar - no exceptions. I have a wrap-around single-rope leash which we refer to as the magic wand - even the worst walkers walk calmly under the power of this thing! I can use that if you'd like to try it!

A typical day

I will walk your dog(s) as often as needed, but I love to get at least 3 full walks a day (of course, that depends on what your pup is up for)! I love doing puzzles, brushing, and giving constant love and attention - I want to be a second home for your animals, so I will do whatever I can to ensure their routines are kept when I have the pleasure of caring for them! And whether your cat is a sunbathing sleeper or a feisty player, I'm ready for it all! All animals are allowed on my furniture, and there will be a surplus of SNUGGLES!
