“Jill was absolutely wonderful with Charlie and Bailey. She and her fur baby Roscoe made them feel at home. Jill was so helpful, flexible and caring with them. They were administered meds regularly, fed and cared for with great love. Her home was beautiful and very clean but still very conducive to pet care. She was in touch with pics and reports daily and they always looked happy and healthy. She lives very close so that was an extra convenience. I’m excited that we’ve found such a wonderful caregiver so close to home. We will definitely be coming back.”

“We boarded our dog with Renee and received daily updates and photos of all the fun he was having. She gave us peace of mind throughout his stay. He came home happy and pleasantly tired. We felt comfortable leaving him with Renee and would gladly book with her again!”

“John gave our dog, Archie, wonderful care from the moment we dropped him off. He and his wife both love and understand dogs and knew how to ease and welcome Archie into their home. We received frequent updates with photos. Our dog was happy and well cared for. We highly recommend John if you’re looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter who will give your pet an excellent home away from home experience.”

“Snoopy had a wonderful time on his vacay with Janet! Janet spoiled him with plenty of walks during the day, lots of playtime and extra love! We knew he was having fun because Janet sent us pictures of him playing, having fun and even getting in a good afternoon nap which helped us relax and enjoy our vacation too. He can't wait for us to go on vacation again!”
“Bree did a wonderful job with Tiger. I had so much anxiety leaving Tiger for a week but Bree stayed in communication daily with plenty of picture updates. Tiger came back exercised and happy. I will use her services again and highly recommend her.”

“Eliana communicated very efficiently with me before and during the booking. She sent me photos throughout my dog’s stay at her house and she gave me updates daily. Her space was very clean and safe. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her.”

“Tyson loved his visit with Christina. He didn’t want to leave. She’s very caring and compassionate and you can tell how much she loves animals. She’s very accommodating with schedules. I’d definitely book Christina again.”

“Jenny (and the whole family) was wonderful with our husky Maggie. She provided so many updates, and I could see how happy and comfortable Maggie was from all the photos making out vacation completely stress free. They also sent funny videos and took Maggie on so many walks. The communication, care, and his overall kindness of Jenny and her family can not be overstated. Highly recommend for all your boarding needs 💯”

“We're thrilled that we found Meg to watch our anxious pup. We have a dog who is scared of everything. In the past, he didn't do well when we used a pet hotel/group care environment for vacations so we needed to find a sitter who watches one dog at a time. He was in compassionate, caring hands with Meg. She responds very quickly to questions and messages. I trust Meg and highly recommend her to care for your pup!”

“Chazz was so great! He instantly put my mind at ease about leaving my dog Zelda overnight for the first time and when I picked her up, she was calm and happy. I’d book again for sure.”

“April was awesome with Harley! She sent many updates and photos. Harley looked, and was, relaxed and comfortable. Harley has Myasthenia Gravis and has a specific medication and food schedule, and April kept to the schedule perfectly. I highly recommend April to care for your furbaby!”

“John and Michelle did a great job watching our little pups. They were responsive and friendly, and they walked our dogs frequently. Would definitely use again!”

“Stephanie is the best! I've never left my dog with a sitter and he did very well. I received multiple text messages each day and photos. She even hand feed Gizmo when he wouldn't eat. Highly recommend her!”

“Aivy was amazing! I can’t say enough positive things. She took the best care of Herbie to the point I didn’t think he was going to want to come home. She sent tons of pictures and loved on him like he was her own.”

“Bear had so much fun and we appreciated the daily pictures and updates. Kerry was very professional and very easy to communicate with, and clearly loves and takes great care of dogs!”

“My girls had the best time they looked at home I was so worried about leaving them because I had never left them before but my heart was at peace with all the videos and pictures I received they were loved on and truly cared for and they will be returning. Ps THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING GOOD CARE OF MY GIRLS 💕”

“I highly recommend David and Phyllis! They’re great people and really love dogs. We are so grateful to have them watch our dog, Toby!! Toby love’s going to their house which gives us a lot of piece of mind.”

About: I have taken care of dogs most of my life. Currently have 3 of our own. Would have been 4 but one of ours recently crossed the rainbow bridge. Have trained all of ours from the puppy stage. Can administer medication, cut/trim nails and hair near the eyes. Play time, walk anything to keep them occupied to help them burn their energy. Rescue is a must but will not judge anyone. Currently have small to medium/large. Love to have more. I work full time but have flexibility to either work from home or make my own schedule. While I would love to do this all week full time, I would prefer shorter stays, preferable long weekends for now. No fenced yard as we just moved. Toddler, husband, and 3 friendly dogs; 14 year old, 9 year old and 1 year old. All love to play with others when we dog sit.
About: Pet Care Experience I’ve had the joy of caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors who need a little extra love and patience. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, giving meds, and of course plenty of belly rubs and cuddle time. I treat every dog like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. What Sets Me Apart I really take the time to get to know each dog’s personality and quirks. Whether it’s helping a puppy learn good habits, supporting an older dog who moves at a slower pace, or sticking to a routine to keep your pup comfortable, I always adjust to what your dog needs. I also pay close attention to little details—like favorite toys, treats, or special instructions—so you can feel at ease knowing your best friend is in caring hands. Since I work from home, I have plenty of flexibility to give your dog the attention they deserve throughout the day. I can easily step away for walks, playtime, or check-ins, and I love having the company of dogs while I work. Whether it’s sticking to a set feeding and potty schedule or adding in some extra cuddle breaks, I’m able to keep your pup’s routine consistent and stress-free. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my care, I make sure they’re in a secure and pet-friendly environment—free of hazards, with plenty of space to relax and play. I always follow your instructions closely, whether it’s diet, medication, or special routines, so your pup feels right at home. When caring for dogs in a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect as I would my own. I keep doors locked, routines consistent, and make sure your dog feels safe and loved until you return. Building trust is important to me, so I provide updates, photos, and quick check-ins to give you peace of mind while you’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Moorestown
Leah was amazing! This was our first time leaving our two dogs for an extended trip, and naturally we were a little nervous about being away from them for so long. Leah completely put our minds at ease. She sent us photos every day, and it was so reassuring to see our girls happy and having a great time while we were away. When we picked them up, our puppers came home tired, happy, and clearly very well loved — exactly what we hoped for! ❤️ It meant so much to us to know they were in such good hands, and being able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about them was priceless. We are so grateful to Leah and will absolutely be using her again. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Leanne and Mark took such great care of Lucky. They were SO accommodating and helped me figure out the back and forth logistics with getting Lucky to/from their house when I was going to be on vacation and also kept an extra close eye on a sensitive spot on his skin and helped us avoid having it turn into a hot spot. SO grateful for their care and how helpful they were to both myself and Lucky.

Denise was amazing! She treated our Maze like family and was so patient with her. Our dog gave her a rough time, I dont know if she was nervous or what but she acted out of character and Denise handled it like a pro and improvised. We are so grateful to Denise and would recommend her 100% to anyone needing a kind, reliable and loving sitter. She truly loves animals and it shows. Thank you so much Denise, you are truly amazing.

Mónica is great with my senior dog! He has separation anxiety of we leave him. But with Mónica, he is comfortable and happy to be with her. She provides updates and pictures throughout the pet's stay. It definitely eases my mind knowing that my dog is in good hands. I highly recommend her for your pet!

Jen was absolutely amazing with my three babies. From the moment we visited with her I knew they would be in the best of hands. She sent constant updates and photos, reassuring me the entire time that they were doing great. She is just the kindest person and we will definitely be using her services again. Thank you, Jen!

Craig took amazing care of our two pups while we travelled for the Christmas holiday. His place was absolutely perfect with the large back yard, and he also took them on many walks throughout the day. They had a great experience. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
