“Earlier this week, I found myself in the position of finding overnight care for my dog Cookie at the very last minute. I will never send him to a kennel since he does not do well with a lot of other dogs and I did not want him lost amidst a sea of yapping or feeling confined. I needed someone with a big, secure, natural back yard to enjoy when not on walks; someone with only one or two personal pets who would not take in others during Cookie’s stay; and someone active, engaged and loving with my special guy. I found that person in Christina. Christina is brand new to the platform, which I actually liked since I suspected she would go over and beyond what was required as she builds her reputation. Her narrative and the testimonials sounded authentic, and her photos showed obvious joy with dogs and cats. And she was available on short notice. I asked if we could do a live video “walk-around” her house, and mainly her yard, on WhatsApp, which I do not believe most people would have agreed to, but she did so readily. This is what I saw, heard and learned: 1) The yard is huge, secure, beautiful and interesting; 2) Her rapport with her own bichon was kind, gentle and fun (I learned she had three bichons for many years but two passed and I think Rover is partly to help fill that void); 3) She walks in Pennypack Park morning, noon and night so when Cookie was not enjoying the yard, he’d be enjoying new sights and sounds elsewhere with his new bichon buddy; 4) Cookie would not be caged ever, and no other dogs would be accepted for boarding while he was there. I had to change the drop off and pickup times at the last minute, which was not a problem at all. Drop-off was easy and communication consistent and remained on WhatsApp throughout the stay. I picked Cookie up a little while ago and I knew I had made the right choice for my guy. Cookie will be back at Christina’s without a question, though hopefully not at the last minute again. Five out of five!!!”

I currently work in Oncology at Jefferson Hospital, working my way towards nursing school. After work, I run, walk a few furry friends with paws, and unwind with my cat! Over the past year, I have gotten more experience than ever caring for pets, besides my own cat, and childhood dogs. I often sit for my family, friends and coworkers, when they go away. Making sure, walks and feeds are happening on time, and with the owner’s permission, the dogs and I go spend some time at the parks (rittenhouse, hawthorne or Washington square park for accessibility and fun). The pets taught me how different pets with different personalities and ages require different care, just like humans at times need things that are different from others. If I take care of your pet, I will be very attentive to their needs, personalities, habits and provide for what each pet needs individually. If you want to be sure your pets are going to be cared for, I would love to schedule a call and see how I can work with your pets’ routine so we can still have fun while you need extra help. By day, I work at Jefferson Hospital in Center City as a Chemo Tech and live in the same area. My job allows me the flexibility of knowing my schedule well in advance so if I accept your request, you can be guaranteed that my schedule will not change. I am a few blocks away too, so can walk and check in on my furry friends on my breaks! I am located in the heart of Center City and I am never too far to make it to your home and give your pet the attention they require - I do it for the love of it too. I also have my own cat and she is very calm and trained - she has also exposed to other cats and dogs before so you have nothing to be worried about. For sitting services in my home, I only require that you bring along your pets necessities if needed such as bed and/or crates to make sure they have a piece of their usual comfort from home.

This was my first time using a border to watch my dog while I was on vacation. And I was very nervous about it. But as soon as I met Lan and saw how she connected with Luna, I was put at ease. Throughout the entire time we were away Lan provided numerous photos and videos of Luna and kept us up-to-date on how she was doing. When she got home, she adjusted very quickly and I could tell that she had enjoyed her time being taken care of by Lan. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She does an amazing job and she truly cares about the pets that she’s taken care of.
Maggie was super responsive, responsible, and highly communicative! My kitten needed several daily medicines (oral and ophthalmic) and Maggie had no trouble administering them and kept track of exactly when he got each medicine each day. She sent photos and text updates each day and the kittens were well taken care of!
Denise was incredible, our dogs loved her! We went out of the country, so we were nervous to leave them behind, but they loved their time at Denise's house. Our larger dog is dog reactive (except for his brother) and she was able to manage that very well. He also requires medication, which was handled by Denise as well. She updated us with photos during the trips and the dogs didn't want to leave!
Lou was well cared for while we were away on vacation. We booked short notice and had no issues, I would definitely use them Lauren and John again. Lou is like a child to me. Brittany was absolutely wonderful with our senior dog, Buttons. From the start, it was clear she has a natural warmth and genuine care for the dogs she looks after. She was attentive, patient, and thoughtful throughout the stay. The daily photos and updates were such a great touch and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious Buttons was comfortable, relaxed, and in very good hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for companion and would gladly trust Brittany again anytime.
