About: I’ve been pet sitting, including overnights at clients' homes, for over six years. I genuinely love getting to know animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, gerbils, and even bearded dragons! I’m comfortable caring for senior pets and those who need a little extra patience, including blind pets and those who sometimes have accidents. I always strive to keep my clients' fur babes happy and relaxed so that they feel safe while their parents are away. I also include watering plants and mail fetching in my services. If desired, we can chat about house cleaning rates, too. Thank you for considering me! I work full time but am available to check in on pets in the morning, at lunch, and after work, including overnight stays. When I accept a job, I make pet sitting my first priority! I am happy to flex my work schedule to ensure you receive the best care for your pets and home. It is my absolute priority to create a safe, calm, and familiar environment for every pet that I care for. I am a stickler for following instructions, and even prefer a detailed list of feeding schedules, medication needs, routines, and any behaviors or triggers that may help me with your pet(s). I am detail oriented (which helps in my full-time job, too!), paying strict attention to locking doors and gates, setting alarms, and keeping spaces clear for my furry friends. I also monitor pet behavior and their bodies for any changes that may warrant contacting you. My ultimate goal is your peace of mind.
“Gabrielle always takes such great care of our cat when we are away. He likes to get his wet food at the same time and she is great about accommodating this. Very responsive and always a delight to communicate with. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had cats my entire life and have always helped out taking care of my friend’s cats and dogs. When it comes to taking full care of other people’s pets I’ve done a couple of pet sitting jobs in the past year or so. While home from college I have free time almost everyday for most of the day! While I may need to go home to check on my own pets or family I can usually spend most of the day with your pets. I’m a bit of a night owl so morning can be rough but I thrive in the late morning and afternoon! I can’t have pets come over to my house because of my cats, but when at your house I can always be there for your animal! Whether they are playing or just want company while lounging at home!
“David was very thorough taking care of my kitties even when they were being super shy. His communication was greatly appreciated and left me with no worries while I was out of town. I would absolutely book David again!”

“Jessica has taken care of Kitty twice and I could not be happier. Such a relief to have the excellent communication and have someone I can trust to take care of her when I am out of town and unreachable. Thanks Jessica.”

“Bri was amazing. She took care of my pups as if they were her own. She took her time and they responded by warming up to her more each day as they are really shy with new people. Snoopy and Kiwi have a new best friend! Thank you”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for my family for years. But I’m looking to branch out and help others who need help as well! I’m a college student trying to get by and am willing to help out as much as I can! I currently work 2 jobs babysitting 2 times a week in mornings, and in the mall usually nights. But I’m still flexible enough to fit an animal or two in! I will play and take care of your pet as if it’s my own! I will stick to regular routines (if i’m told there’s any) and will try my hardest to keep them happy!

“Brianna was kind enough to accept our very last minute request and came over to meet the cats and get care instructions ahead of time. Very happy to have found a friendly and professional sitter in our new town.”

About: I have never lived in a household without a fur baby being present. We've own big and small dogs, a cat, and even a bunny at one point. Being a pet owner is all I've ever known so I am pretty confident in my knowledge of pets and just pet parent intuition. I have recently left my full time job and started my own photography business so my schedule is extremely flexible and open. The only day I am typically unavailable is Sundays. I promise to treat every pet baby as if they were my own. I know that pets are more like family than anything so you/they would have a friend in me.
“Miranda did a great job watching over my two cats, Ninja and Scraps while I was away on vacation. I definitely would recommend her and will be using her again in the future! She left great notes and made me feel at ease while I was away. 😁 Thank you. This was the first time I have used Rover and it was a great experience. Miranda also help me understand how to use the app since I made some silly mistakes.”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for dogs and my wide range of experience. I’ve cared for everything from playful puppies to senior dogs with special needs, tiny breeds to dogs over 100 pounds. I’m confident handling all kinds of personalities and energy levels, and I always adjust my care to fit each dog’s needs. I’ve also had dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust. Pet sitting isn’t just a side job for me it’s something I truly enjoy, and I treat every dog like they’re part of my family. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday from 8am–4pm, but I’m still very committed to pet sitting! I’m available for early morning walks, evening visits, overnight stays, and weekends. I care for every pet like they’re part of my own family. Whether I’m in my home or the client’s, I make sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I follow their routine closely including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions and I always give them my full attention. I also keep the space clean and make sure they’re calm and happy while their owner is away.

Miranda is awesome! She was able to fit me in for a last minute booking which I really appreciated. Over the four day booking, she earned the trust and affection of two cats. I am absolutely amazed because these cats are notoriously quite spicy 😂 She also administered daily medicine and sent many pics each day. You can trust Miranda to make your time away from your furry children stress free - highly recommend!

Julie was great. She visited at our home before sitting for our two cats which was very comforting for me. She was there in the requested time frames each day and left a detailed message so I knew how our kitties were doing while we were away. We will definitely use her again. Thanks Julie.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
