“I highly recommend David and Phyllis! They’re great people and really love dogs. We are so grateful to have them watch our dog, Toby!! Toby love’s going to their house which gives us a lot of piece of mind.”

“Hardy, is my go to sitter for Simba. He contacted me frequently and reached out when he had some concerns about a matter. He definitely deserves his high rating!”

“Bailey had another great sleepover with Monica and her wonderful family! We can't thank Monica enough for taking such great care of Bailey and she even sent over pictures of Bailey having a blast then off to sleep in her crate! Bailey can't wait for her next stay with Monica and playing in her huge backyard!”

“Oh my goodness! I don’t think we’re ever going back to boarding at a dog hotel! Bri was AMAZING with Denver. It felt like leaving our pup with family. She took excellent care of Denver all while providing us with updates, pictures, and videos which we very much appreciated while out of country. Dog hotels don’t do that; they just let dogs play all day everyday—which ended with Denver coming home exhausted and sometimes sick from all the stimulation and exposure. Denver was able to play and have time to chill and relax at Bri’s place. It was a perfect balance. I 100% recommend her services and we WILL be back!!! Thank you so much Bri!”

“Once again Kathryn provides an amazing home away from home for Toni. This was our longest boarding experience with her and arguably the best. She provides amazing updates, makes sure our anxious bud is comfortable and gets him to take his daily meds (we even have trouble with that ha). Thank you again!”
“Lou was well cared for while we were away on vacation. We booked short notice and had no issues, I would definitely use them Lauren and John again. Lou is like a child to me. He came home happy and tired after playing with the kids for a week. Thanks for being awesome and making my trip less stressful!! I would definitely book with them again.”

“We boarded our dog, Alvin, for a whole week in July 2016 with Kim for our very first Rover.com experience while we went away on vacation. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to use Kim and we are positive that Alvin had a better time on "vacation" than we did! Alvin is a high energy pup and can be a lot to handle so we weren't sure if dropping him in someone's home would go OK. But everyday Kim sent photos to let us know how he was doing and he was "smiling" and wagging his tail in every single one. Kim is very professional and very responsive and it's obvious that she cares about all of the dogs as if they were her own. She even let us set up a "meet and greet" before we booked his stay. It was so nice to be on vacation and not feel bad about where we left our dog. Now I just feel sorry that we brought him back home and took him away from Kim and the other pups! I highly recommend using Kim and will definitely leave our dog with her again.”

“Alex seemed very relaxed and calm. I would definitely recommend Beth. Alex was very well taken care of. I would definitely call on her again. Thank you”

“Wanda and her family were kind and accommodating while watching my dog Banjo. She ensured he was cared for throughout his stay and made him comfortable while he was anxious during thunderstorms and 4th of July fireworks. I would highly recommend Wanda for any and all pet-related needs.”

“I can’t rave enough about Janet; she does such a good job with Milo. She is so thoughtful and considerate. She sends pictures and updates and makes me feel at ease.”

“Kelsey and Conor took great care of Rosie! Kelsey was so nice to communicate with and responded quickly to messages. Her dogs were so friendly and greeted Rosie so kindly right away! I would definitely book with Kelsey and Conor again. They made me feel like my dog was one of their own!”

“Jennette watch my sable for a week after meeting Jennette and family I felt that she would look after Sable and take care of her while I was away. She gave me an update while I was away ensuring me that I made the right choice. I pick up Sable once we return home, she was happy to be home. If ever we need to go on vacation again I will definitely ask Jennette to watch Sable again. Thank you I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing Sable was in good hands.”

“Katie and Rooney were really great with my nervous dog, Otis. It was great to see all the pictures she sent and we will definitely book a stay with her again soon!”

“Eliza was great with my dog! She allowed us to do a meet up first so that my nervous dog could get comfortable. She was also communicated with me throughout her stay, including lots of pictures! I would highly recommend her!”

“Roseanna treated my pup Lylla like her own and I couldn’t ask for anything more. She was very accommodating and took the time to meet not only Lylla, but us as well. I will definitely be rebooking with Roseanna in the future and highly recommend her!”

About: Over the years I've cared for the pets of family friends and relatives. From taking pups on walks & play session to drop ins for cats. Making sure I'm following dietary need for each pet. Getting to know the different personalities of each animal I come across is my passion. In my childhood home I was able to experience caring for puppies until they became elderly. Though most of my experience is with pits. I was blessed to care for a doodle mix & a shih Tzu in their last years. I respect all animals and their space. I currently work full-time 3 days a week with 4 day available to care for your furbabies. Saturday- Monday is my work schedule. Tuesday-Friday I am up by 7am cleaning my home or visiting my parents. By 12pm the rest of my day is free. I can do evening drop ins (after 5pm) or overnight stays on the days I work (leave by 4am). Am very flexible during the week. If you're in need of a sitter/ care giver for family or business trips. In my home or the client's home I will follow the set schedule the clients have for their pets. My home has a fenced in backyard where I can take elderly or less fit pups to play and potty. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood where I can take your pup on walks. I do require a harness and leash set per pet with a portable water bowl to keep them hydrated on walks. A breakdown of allergies or sensitivities each pet has. As well as a bed or crate for them to sleep in overnight. At the client's house I would like to do a walk through of the property and learn the habits of their pet. This will give me an understanding of how to properly care for each individual pet in and outside of the home.

“Mary took great care of our senior pup. She was very accommodating and it’s clear that she loves dogs. She sent us cute pictures and updates and we felt comfortable knowing that Daisy was in great hands. I would recommend Mary to anyone that needs a great, kind, and attentive dog sitter. Thanks for offering our girl a comfy and safe place to stay while we were out of town.”

“Caitlin was great!! She was so sweet and accommodating to our anxious pup and made her feel right at home. You can tell she is a true animal lover. She took genuine care for our dog and gave periodic updates. We are looking forward to using her to dogsit our pup again!”
“Marlene was very communicative and sent me a lot of pictures of Zeek while she was in his care. He seemed very happy to be with her. Thank you for keeping my baby safe and happy!”

“John was a tremendous sitter! My dog Fenwick walked into John’s home and checked things out then laid doe on the floor and felt perfectly at home! He loved his time spent there. John has a great way with dogs! He truly cares for them!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Franklin Park
This sitter has convinced me to stick with Rover instead of kennels/daycares. Our 6 year old pup was loved, cared for, handled properly, safe and kept how we hoped. Her schedules were preserved, her environment was ideal, and Amanda and her family were a dream. Frequent updates, pictures, working with our time zone differences while we were out of country, clarified all concerns I had before and after. I will consistently reach out to Amanda for ALL of our pet sitting needs for as long as she is offering it. She deserves the business and will not disappoint.

Leanne and Mark took such great care of Lucky. They were SO accommodating and helped me figure out the back and forth logistics with getting Lucky to/from their house when I was going to be on vacation and also kept an extra close eye on a sensitive spot on his skin and helped us avoid having it turn into a hot spot. SO grateful for their care and how helpful they were to both myself and Lucky.

I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pet! She took amazing care of my dog while I was away on vacation, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear that she treated him like one of her own. When I picked him up, he was happy, healthy, and clearly loved during his stay. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my fur baby—I will definitely be booking with you again in the future! 🐾❤️

Yesenia watched my pup while I was away over the weekend and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She sent me multiple pictures and videos of my dog each day and answered any questions I had promptly. My pup seemed to really enjoy playing with her three dogs and enjoyed the big backyard. I 100% would use her again as a sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
