“Douglas did a fantastic job taking care of Maya for me! He was very thorough in making sure that he had all the information he needed to accommodate Maya. My dog is epileptic and he ensured that he had the medicine, correct directions, and contacts for local veterinarians and friends of Maya in case something were to occur. Before leaving Maya there for a week, I visited him and his dog Tonka to see how comfortable Maya would be in his home. Although at first there was a lot of barking and Maya being aggressive, once inside, Maya calmed down. By the middle of the trip, Douglas let me know that they became friends which was great because I've been meaning to get Maya accustomed to being around other dogs. Douglas was a great dog sitter and I highly recommend him to anyone else! He provides daily updates too making my trip even better knowing that my best friend is being taken cared of really well. Thanks Douglas!”

“Hardy was great with my two chocolate labs. House was beautiful and clean, he sent pictures and kept us updated while we were on vacation. We had an unexpected delay in our trip and Hardy was able to watch the dogs for an additional night. Recommend 100% will be using him again. Thank you so much!”

“We knew from the moment Maggie stepped foot inside Meghan’s home that she felt safe and loved. I was amazed at the number of photos and updates that greeted me everyday. Maggie looked super happy and comfortable. Meghan is not only the ultimate puppy sitter; she’s a compassionate soul. I couldn’t imagine leaving Maggie with anyone else.”

It really gave us peace of mind as we were worried to leave him while we were away for a week, but he was in good hands. Highly recommended, we look forward to using her excellent services again, I think Rafa will too! Thanks again.”

“This was our dog Daisy’s second stay with Michael and he was wonderful! He’s great about communicating and was so helpful when we needed a last minute sitter! Would definitely recommend him to others and will use him again in the future!”

“Liubov was wonderful with our dog Ollie while we were on vacation. It was the first time that we used a sitter and were a little nervous about it, but meeting Liubov put us at ease. “Once again Kathryn provides an amazing home away from home for Toni. This was our longest boarding experience with her and arguably the best. She provides amazing updates, makes sure our anxious bud is comfortable and gets him to take his daily meds (we even have trouble with that ha). Thank you again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bensalem
Solid and great as always, this my 5th time now using Liubov , beyond cares for dogs, and even gave me tips towards better helping, keeping my dog healthy. Great environment, my dog plays with other dogs there, compared to being sent to a kennel where I’m sure he is neglected.

Kristin helped us out last minute. We did a meet and greet with her and her dog Darby. I could already tell Kea felt at home and was going to have a great time with Kristin. Kristin sent me pictures through the weekend and kept in touch. She did a wonderful job watching Kea and we would definitely use her again.

Yuliia was kind, caring to my dog and to me as well! We had an emergency the day we were supposed to pick our dog up which meant with very short notice we couldn't get her at the planned time. Yuliia was understanding and was able to have our dog for a couple more hours. It meant so much to us that it did was cared for while we were away. Thank you Yuliia!

Christina and Jignesh were remarkable. Sam was sick for a couple of days and they provided quick medical attention for him. Over Labor Day weekend! They are kind and caring and Sam and their cat Melon became pals. The best cat sitters ever! Thanks again, see you next time!😻

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
