“Gabby was a great dog sitter. Gretchen felt right at home; Gabby sent photos and checked in regularly. I would highly recommend Gabriela and will use her again.”

“Absolutely WONDERFUL. I literally have no words to describe how amazing Traci and Jeffery’s care was for Apollo. They are so sweet and kind and treated my dog as their own. They kept me updated on his activities and behaviors. They were so incredibly accompanying to his medical needs. They are such lovely people to talk with as well. They are very communicative and on top of the job. If you need care for your dog. Hire Traci and Jeffery!”

“Best sitter on Rover! He is quick to respond, and provides plenty of videos and pictures so we could rest assured that our energetic German shepherd was happy and entertained. He’s also very adaptable to schedule changes. Our dog was in great hands, and Iger was great at determining which dogs would get along, and maintained a safe environment for them all. I know our dog can’t wait until we go on vacation again so he can go back and play!”

“Liu, omg idk from where to start? I decided to go with her for my 7mos old Cat. We started with 2 nights stay and ended up with 4 nights haha She has been so amazing to him and me. She sent so many pics and videos of his stay. I swear I had 0% stress after meeting her. He loved her company , her place , her mom and their dog Ruby ? She is very flexible with pickup and drops. Thank you isn't enough for her the care she gave to my cat. It's our cat now haha Coffee came home today but I can feel he misses her already. Thank you SO MUCH. WE CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK TO PENNSYLVANIA AND SEE YOU AGAIN. LOTS OF LOVE FROM COFFEE AND ME ! ?”

“Kelly is awesome. While we were away, a family emergency caused us to have to extend our stay, and Kelly didn't flinch in watching Hazel for several extra days. Very cool!”

“Castillo was fantastic and was super easy to communicate with. We came from out of state for a family event and she accommodated our travel delays without issue. She gave plenty of updates and pictures throughout Gazpacho's stay with her and he looked to be having a great time.”

“Angela and Michael took great care of our Molly. We're so grateful for their care and patience with our 14 year old pup! Their communication was prompt and helpful. Angela and Michael provided a wonderful, safe, and supportive environment for Molly.”

“During our 4-day trip, we left Toffee with someone for the first time. Joan took excellent care of Toffee, providing daily updates on what he was up to, how her day went, and even shared photos regularly. I will definitely use her service again.”

“Jayla is the best sitter I have ever had for Marley! I had to travel out of the country because of an unexpected issue for a month and she was ready to take care of Marley at literally a days notice and was flexible with extending the stay too! She updated me regularly with pictures and videos and she kept Marley super happy throughout the stay. Marely had never stayed away from me for so long and is usually a bit clingy but I could see that he was super happy throughout the stay from the videos Jayla shared. She trained him, groomed him and fed him as per his requirement. I was super happy with the experience and would definitely choose Jayla in the future too. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my precious boy!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our puppy Rafa! Milissa did an awesome job of watching our puppy and communicating with us daily with pictures and updates. It really gave us peace of mind as we were worried to leave him while we were away for a week, but he was in good hands. Highly recommended, we look forward to using her excellent services again, I think Rafa will too! Thanks again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of my own dog as well as family and friends dogs for about 10 years. I am able to take long walks, feed, and entertain in general. I consider myself very trustworthy as I’ve had a dog my whole life. I recently just graduated college and am back home so I am free most weekdays any time after 1 pm. I can walk around for some good exercise for the dog or just play in the yard. I live in a great area for nice long walks. If I’m staying at a clients home, I provide lots of cuddles inside as well as fun play time outside.
“Marlene was very communicative and sent me a lot of pictures of Zeek while she was in his care. He seemed very happy to be with her. Thank you for keeping my baby safe and happy!”

“Jeffrey was extremely responsive to my questions and wrote every day with updates and photos. He was patient with Papaya's anxiety, and madensure she ate, even if it meant offering her handfuls of food at a time. It's the first time we left our sweet goofy girl with someone, but it felt good to know she was in such good hands. Thank you, Jeffrey!”

“Tina was amazing with my Sasha. She sent photos and messages throughout my vacation to let me know that Sasha was happy and having a great time. I definitely trust and will have Tina to stay with my girl again.”

“So happy to have found Kathi!! She is so nice and sweet and took the best care of Ziggy. Zig and Cooper got along great and I don't think Ziggy wanted to leave! Lol! Kathi & her family are AWESOME and are for sure our new go to sitter. THANK YOU KATHI!!! :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
