About: Over the years I've cared for the pets of family friends and relatives. From taking pups on walks & play session to drop ins for cats. Making sure I'm following dietary need for each pet. Getting to know the different personalities of each animal I come across is my passion. In my childhood home I was able to experience caring for puppies until they became elderly. Though most of my experience is with pits. I was blessed to care for a doodle mix & a shih Tzu in their last years. I respect all animals and their space. I currently work full-time 3 days a week with 4 day available to care for your furbabies. Saturday- Monday is my work schedule. Tuesday-Friday I am up by 7am cleaning my home or visiting my parents. By 12pm the rest of my day is free. I can do evening drop ins (after 5pm) or overnight stays on the days I work (leave by 4am). Am very flexible during the week. If you're in need of a sitter/ care giver for family or business trips. In my home or the client's home I will follow the set schedule the clients have for their pets. My home has a fenced in backyard where I can take elderly or less fit pups to play and potty. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood where I can take your pup on walks. I do require a harness and leash set per pet with a portable water bowl to keep them hydrated on walks. A breakdown of allergies or sensitivities each pet has. As well as a bed or crate for them to sleep in overnight. At the client's house I would like to do a walk through of the property and learn the habits of their pet. This will give me an understanding of how to properly care for each individual pet in and outside of the home.

We are so thankful we found Harry and Kerri to take care of our dog Harry! He’s quirky and takes a while to warm up to new people but Kerri and Harry have always respected his boundaries and taken great care of him. He hates being boarded so they did a bunch of drop ins for us while we were away and spent extra time with him. We couldn’t appreciate them more!

I naturally connect with animals and focus on making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care. I am actively job searching, but I prioritize the pets I’m caring for and keep my availability up to date. treat every pet like they’re my own. I stick to their usual routines, give them lots of love and attention, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. About: Hi everyone, I’ve owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I would consider it a privilege to take care of yours!!! Thank You I’ve been a school teacher for 30 years. I’m retiring in the next couple of years. I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my life by fulfilling another passion of mine, taking care of dogs. I’ve always loved dogs. I will give love and attention to your dog as if your dog were my own. My life would not be complete without a dog. I’m fully available to walk your dog and drop-in sitting at your house. I’m a school teacher, off for the summer and on Sabbatical for the next school year. Safety, love, and attention for others pets are my top priorities. I think about how I would want my precious Cooper cared for by others, therefore, your dog will receive my full attention. I’m currently on Sabbatical, (I’m a school teacher.) therefore, I have the flexibility to accommodate any potential clients schedule. I travel back and forth between our home in PA and FL. I treat any pet in our home as if it is our own. The dogs I’ve cared for in our feel comfortable because of the interaction between my husband, my son, and myself. We thoroughly enjoy dogs in our home and so does Cooper, our 5 year old dog.

About: Hi! My name is Amanda and I’m a dependable animal lover with experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities. I’ve had dogs and cats all my life, which has given me a strong understanding of animal care and behavior. I have experience with large breeds including German Shepherds and Huskies, chocolate labs and small breeds as well so I’m comfortable with energetic dogs and long walks. I understand how important pets are to a family and will treat your pet like my own while providing safe, loving, and reliable care. I work Monday- Friday from home so your baby will almost never be alone while staying over. My morning normally begins around 6a.m. With my day ending around midnight. I have a large fenced in yard perfect for catching some sun rays and getting the zombies out. I do have two dogs to keep your furry baby comfy. However if you would like them to be separated I can keep them separated on different floors in my home.

About: I love dogs and have volunteered at the local shelter for the past 6 years...walking, feeding, cleaning cages of dogs and cats. I have owned several dogs over the years...all rescues and mixed bully breeds. I am currently retired so I have plenty of time to spend time taking care of your fur-babies. My home is pet friendly and I enjoy taking your pet for walks. I have a fenced yard. I can easily crate your dog if needed. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in my bed. I enjoy taking dogs for walks and there are several walking paths in my neighborhood.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and truly love caring for them. I’m also a critical care nurse with five years of experience, so I’m dependable, attentive, and comfortable handling medications, special instructions, and unexpected situations with a calm, caring approach. I have a senior dog of my own, so I understand how important patience, compassion, and personalized care are. Since my senior pup can no longer enjoy long walks, I’d love to give your dog the exercise and adventure they deserve! Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’ll stick to their routine, provide fresh food and water, administer medications if needed, and send plenty of photo updates so you can relax knowing your best friend is in loving hands. As a critical care nurse, my schedule varies, but I know it well in advance and keep my availability updated. On my days off, I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet, whether that means long walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company. I pride myself on being reliable, punctual, and communicative, and I’ll send regular photo and video updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. As a critical care nurse with five years of experience, I’m calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and comfortable following medication schedules and special care instructions. I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, including my own senior dog, so I understand that every pet has unique needs. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or elderly, I’ll treat them like family by following their routine, keeping them safe on walks, and giving them plenty of love and attention while you’re away.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Croydon stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Croydon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Croydon with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Croydon. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
