About: My goal is to provide the pest possible service for your family. I am just getting started with Rover and not so busy yet. I think some great reviews would help and that is good news for you because great reviews require providing great service. Seriously, I am a senior looking to supplement my income like all old guys but I truly love dogs. It may seem strange but I feel a connection and able to communicate. So how about a shot to give you some great service so I can great reviews and fill my calendar a bit. Often times the fewer words the better but below gives you a window into some personal pet experiences. Pets have been a part of my entire life. My first adolescent memory is of Jacque, a prissy French Poodle with an attitude that Mom would let me dress up complete with overcoat, booties and of course a French beret. Ginger was a large orange tabby cat that could have been Garfield's stunt double. My parents attempt at teaching me responsibility actually worked. Married in 1971 our life together started with Figaro, looked just like the cat from Pinocchio. All black with white paws very sneaky, overly curious and slightly narcissistic. Figora belonged to my wife and he made that very clear. Sabrina, a very shiny grey Siamese joined us when my sister went to school. Sabrina was very anti social and did not like anybody. House guests could spend an entire weekend and never see her. She tolerated us but Sabrina and Figora had shall we say, an understanding. Neither were ever outdoors or saw the light of day. With the family developed and 3 boys later came Thunder. He was a rescue Sheppard mix. He was very active, playful, mischievous and very funny. He was more than a handful and we still laugh and talk about things that he did. As he became an adult dog, by years not behavior for sure, friends in a rural area expressed how much they loved Thunder. We just could not break their hearts and allowed them to adopt Thunder. We visited often. After some time Briar came into the picture. My wife's girlfriend became ill and unable to care for a large majestic Bovier de Flanders. Her coat was amazing. Very heavy and thick. Kids on the street would ask if she was a bear. When someone rang the doorbell Briar would announce them and greet them in an extremely loud intimidating manor. The caller could have just opened the door and patted her end and should would just give love and affection. She was kind gentle and helpful to everyone. Except, if you were to approach my wife in an aggressive manor or touch her, you were taking your life in your own hands. She was never taught to protect her, but protect she did. Amazing breed characteristics and lots of stories. We learned she had a UTI and was her kidney. We prolonged her life as long as possible and realized the treatment and medication were selfish on our part and chose her comfort over our love for her. So hard. My most recent pet experience was Pike, a brindle pit bull, male and Roxy, female dachshund. We started to foster them temporarily while my son traveled for work and turned to an extended stay their last years. Roxy ruled the roost for sure and was always funny when you considered their statute let alone breed but she was boss. We called them the odd couple. I would take them with me to work often and Pike made sales calls with me. He was truly my road dog. We lost them both within a month. We lost them both just before pandemic, they were 16-17 best guess. My son was the one that literally rescued Pike while he was chained to a dumpster in Rittenhouse Square all day in the rain. With lots of patience and love from everyone close, I watched him transform from an otherwise unfriendly, aggressive, animal hating Pit Bull transform to the sweetest, gentlest, ready to please member of the family. I do not have any formal training training nor have done training professionally but I am up for the challenge. I know and understand the 7 basic commands, hand signals, concepts and have a tremendous amount of patience. There are a lifetime of story's how I was the only one that got along with the shop dog or the neighbors dog or a particular. Hope to meet you and your Pups soon, Rocci I am retired and available 9:00am to 9:00 pm right now I don't need much notice. I am hoping to develop relationships with dogs by providing outstanding service I have a French yard that houses all the dogs and cats and the other animals as well as an area in the garage where we keep all the toys

“Jimi was super communicative and prompt. Our dogs loved him! He did a great job with our drop in request and we are looking forward to utilizing him again in the future!”

“Shannon was very responsible and attentive to our two cats. She followed our instructions for their routine, regularly played with them and gave them treats. She even brought packages and mail into the house. It was great to have her pet sit and hope we can arrange with her again on our next trip.”

Weekends as well! I am pretty flexible with time so just let me know what times work best for you and if you need me to take care of your pet a little longer! Pets are family! So I ensure to monitor them closely and pick up on any signs, issues, and concerns that may negatively impact their safety. About: Hi! I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 22 and absolutely love what I do. As a teacher, I’m used to being responsible, patient, and dependable—qualities that help pet parents feel confident leaving their furry family members in my care. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. 🐶❤️ Dogs fit easily into my daily life because caring for them is something I truly enjoy. As a teacher, I have a routine and a strong sense of responsibility, which helps me stay consistent with walks, feeding, playtime, and attention. Spending time with dogs is one of my favorite ways to relax, and I love making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while their owners are away. 🐶 When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow the owner’s routine as closely as possible so the animals feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they are fed on schedule, get plenty of walks, playtime, and attention, and that their water is always fresh. I also keep the home tidy, monitor the pet’s behavior to make sure they’re happy and healthy, and send updates so owners feel at ease while they’re away. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own.
About: Dogs have been a large part of my life since I was born. Family, friends, and neighbors known they can trust me with their furry friends. As a lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, I understand how important it is to know your pet is in good hands, so I focus on providing safe, reliable, and fun walks tailored to your dog's needs. I have lots of energy and a flexible schedule as a college student. I have worked with dogs of all ages including puppies and seniors. If you have any concerns, I want to work with you to deliver the best care possible. I am a college student so weekends work best for me during the semester! During the summer (May to August), I have much more availability; I am free all week and on weekends. I respect every dog owner's personal choices for caring for their pet. I want to abide by your rules and make you and your pet as comfortable as possible.
About: I’ve had cats my entire life and have always helped out taking care of my friend’s cats and dogs. When it comes to taking full care of other people’s pets I’ve done a couple of pet sitting jobs in the past year or so. While home from college I have free time almost everyday for most of the day! While I may need to go home to check on my own pets or family I can usually spend most of the day with your pets. I’m a bit of a night owl so morning can be rough but I thrive in the late morning and afternoon! I can’t have pets come over to my house because of my cats, but when at your house I can always be there for your animal! Whether they are playing or just want company while lounging at home!
About: I'm a School Counselor with 20+ years experience taking care of others, including my own children, and 30+ years taking care of my own pets. While people are my 'jam', animals are my HEART. I've spent summers grooming dogs and have very few regrets in life - except not pursuing becoming a vet. My life took me in another direction...ANY chance I get I spend it with animals, usually dogs. I walk my neighborhood daily, and would say at least 20% of the time I'm finding a stray dog and returning it to its rightful owner. I can help out with medication administration, nail clipping, etc...and just LOVE spending time cuddling/walking/feeding/taking care of pets, especially dogs. I've trained all of my own pets, including crate training. Pets are where it's AT - now take me to yours and you won't be disappointed! Summers are wide open for me. During the school year, I can be available after 3:30pm daily and up until 7:30pm for drop ins. I’m home most weekends with the occasional soccer game or track meet obligation for my son. I prefer to plan in advance to best meet your pet(s) needs - at least a few days. I have a fenced in yard but am happy to walk your pet. I provided daily oral medication administration for my own 16 year old dog, groomed her, clipped her nails and provided an enormous amount of love and support for her. She was my children's heart. I've owned 4 dogs and 6 cats in my lifetime and enjoyed every single minute of it. In your home, I will care for your babies exactly as I would my own - with care, love and compassion. I will follow any instructions you have and will be happy to help in any other way possible with your pet.

“This was the first time we did house visits for my two boys and Margret has been nothing but wonderful. She was always punctual and cared for my babies while I was away. She made sure to send pictures from every visit and my doggos loved playing / interacting with her. I would highly recommend Margret to care for y’all’s babies 🐾🐾 needs .”

“Patrick did a great job taking care of Quincy. I had a few specific instructions, and he followed them to the letter. Quincy was in a good mood when I got home. I recommend Patrick and would hire him again.”

About: Hi! I’m Jenny From The Block. Dog lover, rescuer, and mom. I have 30 plus years of experience with my own and others’ dogs — and pets/animals of all kinds really. I’m married with 3 almost-grown boys. Everyone knows my favorite “boy” is a 4 year old, 20 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell(?) mix rescue named Brodie. He’s very social and kind, and he loves to play. In his bow tie, he looks like a tiny, furry old man. He’s trained and great with other dogs. These days, he's a bit sad & lonely because we recently lost our puppy Akira to epilepsy. I have experience administering meds, adhering to a strict schedule, seizures, emergency medical care… I have experience with older and special needs animals, and puppies are no problem. As an owner of dogs with anxiety, I can assure you that your pup will receive the personalized attention that they need. I have lots of experience with high anxiety dogs and the behavior that can come along with an anxious dog. Patience and trust is key. I’ll like to brush the dogs daily for a healthy coat and to reduce anxiety (and reduce shedding!). I have 3 years professional obedience training from puppy on up. I have no issues with any sort of crates, collars, housing types, etc… We have crates if your pup feels more secure there or just needs some “me time.” Or they can play, lounge or nap in our separate doggie lounge area. My pets are allowed on furniture and sleep in the bed with us. I’m happy to accommodate your dog in whatever conditions they are most used to at home, makes them (and you!) most calm, comfortable, and happy when away from home. I am a stay-at-home mom, so I'm free to spend a lot of time playing with and taking care of your dog. My schedule is flexible and dictated by the “dogs’ days.” Some days we have tons of energy and are excited to get outside to run, play and release energy. Other days are lazy days, where snuggles, naps and belly rubs are in order. I love playing and cuddling with all the furbabies and will sit down on the floor with them for one on one and pack time. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell who’s having more fun! Most dogs need daily exercise to keep them from getting bored or anxious, and to release energy. Weather-permitting, a typical morning or afternoon includes a long walk in my quiet & safe neighborhood. It’s a great opportunity to get exercise and practice commands & and good manners with other (friendly) dogs we meet. Or, we might spend time in the yard playing, exploring, chasing squirrels, birds or each other… followed by a nice nap in the sun. Regular activity and stimulation results in a calm, happy dog at pick up. I have a relatively flexible schedule. I am available on weekends and weekdays and can work with you on your specific pick up, drop off, daycare, and boarding time table. I treat all dogs as if they are my own. My services are tailored to your pet's unique needs, ensuring they get all the love, playtime, and belly rubs they are used to at home! (Possibly more!) My fun but firm approach has earned me the title of 'dog whisperer'. Dogs are innately pack animals and don’t always like being alone, so it’s important that your dog trusts me and we bond. I am with them all day when they’re here. Pet safety as my top priority, you can trust that your furry friend will be in good hands with me. When we go outside, I stay with them at all times. I have secure fencing around the backyard. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors. I live in a quiet, safe, dog-friendly neighborhood. My home is also safe, secure and animal-friendly. I have space for crates if you need your dog to sleep in a crate at night, otherwise they are free to sleep with me. For a smooth transition, I ask you pack your pup's collar/harness, leash, food, and crate or other items they enjoy. Please let me know if your pet has any medical limitations, physical limitations, any other sort of restriction. Also, if they have a history of reactivity/aggression towards people or dogs so I can accommodate their behavior. You can have 100% peace of mind when your fur baby is with me.
About: I have played an active role in caring for my pets since I was 16. I would walk my dog whenever my parents were working and I was home and I would feed her and my cats based on each of their diets. When I learned to drive I would step up to take them to any medical appointments as soon as possible since I believe it’s better to be “safe than sorry”. I have senior care training with both cats and dogs as well. I’m currently working as a contractor so my schedule is sporadic but generally speaking I am available on weekdays after 5:00 PM and weekends anytime. I ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of my pets at my home by keeping them enriched and play with them when they feel in the mood too. I emphasize safety by ensuring there are several barriers of entry in between them and outside and checking to see where they are before and after I leave the house.
“We asked Michael to step in when our sitter became ill. Not only did he accept the job at the last minute, he also came back later in the day when our appt. ran overtime. We are very grateful for his assistance with our new puppy.”

“Very reliable sitter! Whitney checked in on my dog at my house twice a day while I was away. She took good care of my dog and kept me informed with photos.”

Nicole is absolutely fantastic. As a first time dog owner, I was really nervous leaving my puppy for the first time and Nicole totally put my mind at ease right away - with texted updates and photos in addition to the very detailed reports! I felt so much better immediately! Her level of communication daily is such a relief to me and makes me so happy to see Penny having fun with her! She goes above and beyond everyday - keeping me posted when Penny is sick, taking our trash out, adding extra food when I forget. I truly can’t imagine what we would do without her and am so grateful that Penny is in the best hands when we are at work!! I recommend Nicole so highly!
