“This is my first time leaving my dog Cupcake with a sitter, and Jia is excellent. She communicates regularly and sends photos and videos. Cupcake had a great time. I definitely recommend Jia.”

“First time I used Borey for dog sitting services and I was very pleased with the whole experience! Mac stayed a week and was definitely well cared for. He had several doggy buddies to play with during the week, Borey sent videos and texts daily, and her family seemed happy to help out with walks, feeding and sleeping arrangements. I loved that Mac was allowed on the beds and furniture…just like home”

“Mary took very good care of my dog while I was away on vacation. She sent me many pictures of my baby relaxing around her home. I would definitely use her services again when I travel.”

“Angela and her family took such great care of our Bruno. She provided daily updates with pictures which meant so much to us. He enjoyed his stay and we’ll definitely be using her again.”

“A huge thank you to Leanne for taking our Golden Retriever literally last minute over the Easter holiday and providing the greatest of care! When picking Sam up at the end of his stay, it was everything we could do to coax him back into our van, showing he must have really enjoyed his stay as he loves traveling. Highly recommend, super flexible, clean accommodations in a safe/nice neighborhood, and great communication. Thanks Leanne!”

“When my family goes on vacation, my dog is on vacation at Kathryn’s with her dog Rooney. I’m always getting videos and photos sent daily with updates. Kathryn is always polite, flexible and responsive.”

“Liubov is so sweet and caring with Joey. She has such a calm, loving way with him and always gives him so much extra attention and affection. You can tell she truly treats the pets in her care like they’re her own children, which means so much to us. Joey is comfortable and relaxed with her, and knowing he is being loved on and cared for so well gives us such peace of mind. We are incredibly grateful for her and would happily trust Joey with her again!”

“Kevin is a great dog sitter! Our dog was with Kevin for a week and he took really good care of him. He updated us daily on his well being with pictures. My dog really liked playing with Kevin’s daughter that made him very comfortable. We highly recommend Kevin.”

“During our 4-day trip, we left Toffee with someone for the first time. Joan took excellent care of Toffee, providing daily updates on what he was up to, how her day went, and even shared photos regularly. I will definitely use her service again.”

“Jovani did an amazing job, I needed a sitter on really short notice and he answered almost immediately. Really amazing communication, sent pictures throughout the day, my dog was comfortable in very short time with him. He followed all directions and was always available with any questions or concerns I had!”

About: Hi! I’m Jessica, I've been a pet owner for over 15 years and have cared for both dogs and cats throughout that time. I have also had the pleasure of caring for our neighbors' pets, and we currently share our home with two friendly, well-loved cats. What sets my home apart is the personalized, one-on-one care I provide. I am the sole caregiver responsible for every aspect of your dog's stay, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, administering medication (if needed), and providing individualized attention. I only host one family's dog(s) at a time, so your pup will receive my full attention in a comfortable environment. This is a family household where my husband and I live with our four children (ages 8, 5, and 2-year-old twins). The children are always supervised around visiting pets, and I remain the only person responsible for your dog's care. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet behind, and my goal is to give you peace of mind knowing they're being treated with the same love and care we'd want for our own pets. I can't wait to meet you and your pup! I work from home two days each week and structure my schedule to provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of individual attention throughout the day. On the other three days, your dog will be let out in the morning and walked if time allows. I get back to the house around 5pm and will resume caring for your dog like they are my own. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only host one family's dog(s) at a time to provide a low-stress environment. Dogs are welcome on the furniture if that's what they're used to at home, and I'll do everything I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As a family household, young children will be present, but I am the sole caregiver responsible for all pet care and supervision throughout your dog's stay.

“Janet, made me feel comfortable with leaving my baby boy. This was the first time using this app and she was wonderful with communication and sending pics of my baby. I would definitely refer and use her again.”

“Anwar was so great and loving with my cat. Such a nice personality as well and he made me feel like my cat was in good hands while I was away. I will definitely book with him again.”

“Swapna and her family were so welcoming to our pup! We got lots of photos and updates and could tell he immediately felt at home with them. We will definitely be back!”

“We feel so very fortunate to have had Joe and his wife Bonnie care for our 13 year old Westie, Ozzy, for 9 days. They sent updates and pictures and made us feel comfortable and confident that Oz was in great hands during this extended stay. They are true dog lovers and our sweet Oz had a very nice stay with them. Thanks so much Joe and Bonnie!”

“Pamela was amazing and patient. Going away can often be stressful and often time never cooperates. Pamela was very accommodating and patient with my delays with the delays with leaving and returning. I just got my baby 3 months ago and I have never used this service before. Pamela assured me that her would be taking care of and kept me updated. She made this process smooth and easy. She took my baby in and gave him the much needed attention that he required. Pamela is amazing!!! you.”

“5 out of 5! Easily the best experience we've had with a dog sitter. She was responsive and even sent us pictures and updates on our pups while we were away. One of our dogs is very timid around new people and he warmed up to her pretty quickly. Overall a very good experience.”

“Gabby and her family are amazing! Our dog Lola was so relaxed and happy to spend over a week there. Even in the photos we could see how happy she was. Gabby sent us a great update every day, took Lola on lots of walks, and asked a lot of questions about how best to care for her.”

Jessica and her family are AMAZING! Brandy got new medication the day I was leaving for vacation. I explained the new meds to Jessica and she took it in stride. Brandy was favoring a paw and Jessica made sure Brandy didn't jump up or down from anywhere. I always feel confortable and relaxed when I go away knowing Brandy is in such loving care!

Elaine was so great with my senior dog Pawly. Pawly is trained to go outside but somehow forgot all that with the stress of new surroundings. Elaine handled it like a pro. She went out and brought him training pads out of her own money. She taught an old dog a new trick to go on an inside pad which he has never done before. Pawly came home looking happy and well feed. Pawly cant wait to see his awesome pet sitter again! I would recommend Elaine with out exception. She has a big backyard and pets of her own that get along with their new friends.

I couldn’t be happier with the care Iger provided for my dog Waffles. She was definitely a bit hesitant and slow to warm up at first, but Iger clearly has a ton of experience reading dog body language and personalities. By the end of the week, the two of them had completely bonded! I received constant updates packed with photos and videos, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s so reassuring to find someone who genuinely knows how to handle different temperaments with patience and skill. I’ll definitely be booking him again!

Jenny has boarded my miniature Schnoodle, Jasper on several occasions. Usually our trips are well planned in advance but this last time we had to board Jasper when we had to go out with family on an unplanned trip. Jenny was able to take on Jasper on very short notice. She is always prompt in her communications and keeps us updated on how Jasper is doing which we appreciate very much! We are very happy that Jasper is well taken care of during the times we have to be away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
