“i was worried about god I g a great sitter from my dog Rocco because of how he can be a diva. Once the normal place fell through Elias stepped up and responded quickly and answered every question and concern I had. I got to bring him by to make sure Rocco and his family got along and were comfortable with one another as well. I was able to get updates even if I didn’t respond which made me feel good with being away from him. I really do think if I could give Elias and his family more than five stars I would. Rocco came home happy and worn out from the attention received over his stay. The house is in great shape and clean with a big back yard. If you are looking for someone and not sure of who to pick, please let me recommend Elias and his family. His kids are great and it’s a great atmosphere for a dog to be in! Thank you again Elias!”
“Jolanta was wonderful with my puppy! My pup loved her the very first time we met for a meet n greet. Jolanta is warm, friendly and welcoming. She is gentle with dogs and treats him like her own baby! Highly recommend Jolanta to anyone looking for a loving and caring home away from home for their dogs!”

“Roseanna took great care of Sunshine and was great to deal with. She was friendly and easy to communicate with and sent photos so we knew Sunshine was doing well!”

“A home away from home! Steven made my dog feel right at home and safe when we were getting renovations done. Everyday I got an update and pic which gave us comfort. He also responded immediately to our messages. Highly recommend and will request him again in the future.”

“Colleen was wonderful with our Aussiedoodle, Rex. He is very high-energy, and she did an excellent job caring for him. She kept us updated throughout his stay by sharing photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind. She was also very accommodating and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to use Colleen again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet.”

“Great communication, very pleasant and best of all took great care of our dog. He had a great time and we were kept up to date with how he was doing and what he was up to. Would happily book with them again!!”

“We left our Husky, Leo, with Chastidy for nearly 10 days and had an excellent experience from start to finish. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs. Leo was well cared for, and we felt confident he was in good hands throughout. I would highly recommend Chastidy to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional pet sitter.”

“Jia was fantastic! She was very flexible and understanding with pick up and drop off times, was attentive during the meet and greet to both care instructions as well as making sure Dashi fit in well, and was extremely communicative during the sit with photo and video updates. I would highly recommend Jia for her attention to detail and excellent care for your pup.”

“Meg was great. Communication was easy and the provisions for my pup were just like home. Price very fair and in fact was same as price I was going to pay for a kennel stay which was not what I wanted to do so I was so happy to find Meg.”

“Anish was absolutely amazing with our dog Max. Having being a long term dog owner, he knew all about how to handle our dog Max . I felt at ease from the time Max was dropped off till the time we picked Max up. Anish took the extra effort to make sure Max was taken for walks even in the pouring rain, and give him plenty of exercise and company. Max returned home happy, rested & well exercised. I highly recommend Anish to take care of your pet, its their home away from home.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Ivelisse! She took such amazing care of Omen while I was away. She was kind, patient, and genuinely loved animals. She was so attentive to his needs, gave him lots of love and playtime, and even went out of her way to feed him when he ran out of food, something I truly appreciated. I felt completely at peace knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and caring with pets!”

“Vicky and John were great. Our dog Buster fell in love with their dog Jojo, and followed her everywhere. He got lots of exercise and didn't want to leave. We will definitely plan more sleep overs in the future.”

“Kyla took care of Leo on short notice and kept in touch with updates while we were away. Leo seemed very happy and relaxed the whole time. We really appreciated her communication and care!”

“Elaine was so great with my senior dog Pawly. Pawly is trained to go outside but somehow forgot all that with the stress of new surroundings. Elaine handled it like a pro. She went out and brought him training pads out of her own money. She taught an old dog a new trick to go on an inside pad which he has never done before. Pawly came home looking happy and well feed. Pawly cant wait to see his awesome pet sitter again! I would recommend Elaine with out exception. She has a big backyard and pets of her own that get along with their new friends.”

“Igor was great with my dog. He provided pictures and videos daily which made my vacation so much more relaxing and confident knowing Rocky was well taken care of. Igor & his pup Whesker was great company and I would highly recommend them for your pets stay. Rocky came back happy and tired from his time spent with them! Definitely would rebook him!”

“Karren was amazing with our dog Cody! She was so kind, knowledgeable, and clearly loves dogs. Cody came home happy, clean, and well cared for. She kept us updated with pictures and videos, and even checked him for ticks. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend Karren!”

“Lauren was awesome!! She took the lead on short notice, she was very good at giving me updates and sending me pictures. Her and her family were very nice and friendly.. I would definitely use her again in the future and I will definitely recommend her and Rover to anyone that asks me about watching their dogs!!”

Anwar was amazing with Marley! I felt completely comfortable and safe leaving Marley in his care. He was very communicative throughout the stay and kept me updated. Marley clearly had a great time and came home completely pooped from all the adventures I’m sure he had 😂 I would definitely recommend Anwar to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter, and I would absolutely let him watch Marley again. Thank you, Anwar! ❤️

Lauren W. was absolutely amazing with our dog, Rocco, during his 7-night stay. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she genuinely loves animals and treats every pet as if they were her own. Lauren was friendly, kind, attentive, and wonderful to work with throughout the entire experience. She gave us peace of mind knowing Rocco was in caring and capable hands. Her dedication to putting pets first truly shows in everything she does. When we picked Rocco up, it was obvious he had been well cared for, loved, and comfortable during his stay. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
