About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover who understands how important it is to find someone reliable, caring, and experienced to look after your furry family member. I’ve grown up with dogs and always knew I’d have one of my own one day—but waited until I was in the right place financially and personally to give a dog the life it deserves. I’ve done lots of pet sitting and nannying in homes with dogs since I was 16 years old, now I am ready and open to sharing my home with others! In May 2024, I adopted my sweet Fox Red Labrador Retriever, Harley, when she was just 3 months old. Since then, she’s become the center of my world! I’ve trained Harley myself in all the basic commands and also enrolled her in a basic professional training class. She’s well-behaved, gentle with people of all ages, and absolutely adores other dogs—which is one of the reasons I was inspired to sign up for Rover! She thrives around other pups and would love to have more canine friends around. I live in a safe, tidy home with plenty of space to play both inside and out. My fenced-in yard is perfect for dogs to run around and burn off energy, and we make sure to go for long walks at least once a day. Playtime happens daily, and my home is puppy-proofed with toys and treats available, and anything tempting kept safely out of reach. Whether you’re looking for doggy daycare or overnight care, I’d love to provide a loving, safe environment for your pup. Your dog will be treated like family here! I work from home with a flexible schedule, so dogs get plenty of attention. We go outside in the yard multiple times daily for potty breaks, playtime, and then a daily walk in town as well to tire them out! We have a friendly dog, fenced in yard, lots of toys. Safety is my priority. Dogs can be crated at night if requested for sleepovers but not required. We will require a visit before hand to ensure your fur baby is the right fit for our home to ensure safety for both parties!

“Melissa and Dan were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Princess Leia. She’s a small terrier and very much a COVID puppy, so she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs. I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting. They truly love dogs, understand dog behavior, and provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment. I would not hesitate to book with them again.”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was a kid. Grew up with several different pets in the home. Dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles you name it! I’ve also fostered and done pet sitting over the years so have experience with animals of all ages and ones that may need some extra loving or medical needs. I am currently working 3 days and week with long weekends available for pet sitting, drop ins, and walks. I have an extra crate if needed. Friday-Monday I am home to spend all the time with your pet! I currently have one dog in the home. He is a very LARGE dog (Great Dane) but very gentle and friendly to all pets and people he meets. I am home all day from Friday-Monday to give you pet all the attention they need. Small fenced in yard and take walks regularly. All pets will be treated with love to make them feel as comfortable as possible while their pet parents are away.
