Liubov is a friendly person, and I initially chose her based on her positive reviews, which I believed reflected her capabilities. However, my experience left me quite dismayed. As a dog owner who places great emphasis on cleanliness, health, diet, exercise, and behavior, I found that Liubov may not align with those priorities. While Liubov inquired about my dog's habits and diet, it seemed that ultimately, she followed her own inclinations. Despite my efforts to communicate my dog's specific needs, it appeared that Liubov had her own approach. I have a deep understanding of my dog's tendencies, and it was disheartening to feel that this knowledge was overlooked. I expressed a clear concern about my dog's diet, hoping that she would stick to the food provided and inform me of any deviations. This was particularly important due to my dog's specific dietary requirements. Regrettably, my dog gained an excessive amount of weight during her stay, increasing from 25 to 33 pounds in just 33 days. This is a significant concern given her small stature and senior age. When I raised the issue of my dog's weight gain, I was met with a nonchalant response, suggesting that dogs find comfort in constant eating. While I understand dogs' affinity for food, my dog's history of obesity necessitates a more controlled approach. It is disheartening to now face the challenge of re-establishing her previous diet. Additionally, my dog received no walks during her entire stay, which was evident from the dramatic change in her collar fit. Despite having a spacious backyard, my dog requires encouragement to exercise and move around, especially in the absence of regular walks. I also noticed bald patches on her front legs, which the vet confirmed were a result of prolonged contact with cement, indicating a lack of proper exercise. Liubov's method of addressing anxiety through increased feeding is concerning. In my experience, providing dogs with chew toys or taking them for walks is a more effective approach to alleviating anxiety. Feeding as a coping mechanism may inadvertently exacerbate anxiety. Overall, the environment at Liubov's place didn't align with my dog's needs. Belongings were not properly cared for, and my specific requests regarding my dog's behavior were not followed. While my dog may have enjoyed her time with Liubov and the other dogs, the substantial weight gain and subsequent behavioral changes have left me deeply unsettled. Since returning from Liubov's care, my dog's behavior and routine have been noticeably altered. She now anticipates walks at a different time, despite my explicit instructions. This has led to disruptions in her feeding schedule and increased anxiety. She has also resumed self-grooming behaviors that were previously corrected through a healthy lifestyle. In conclusion, my experience leaving my dog with Liubov was not what I had hoped for. While I don't believe my dog was mistreated, the environment and care provided were not in line with my dog's specific needs.
