“Joey is always happy when Gabrielle comes by. She puts about a mile on him each visit, and he's gotten a lot perkier. I can't recommend Gabrielle and Rover more.”

About: I’ve been involved with animals my whole life. While having my own dog for 10+ years, I’ve spent plenty of time taking care of family, friends, and neighbors pets when they were away from home. I’ve helped with walks, feeding, potty and playtime, being someone that could let their pets have someone while they’re away. I’ve also had chances of hosting mini fundraisers to support and supply shelters in the past to give those animals some happiness while they wait for their forever homes. I’m a recent college graduate who is currently looking for some summer work as I continue my search for a professional career. I am available most days of the week, unless discussed otherwise. For dog walks or walk ins, I will not be available for times after 7:30pm. However, I’ll be as flexible as possible when it comes to scheduling potential stays or visits for your pets! I can help with any tasks within my capabilities. I can feed your pets, take dogs on walks, provide some play time or lounge time for the less energetic dogs. I can also give your dogs a bath if ever needed!

“This was my first time using Rover, Alex has been super helpful when we needed a dog walker the most with a new baby on the way. My rescue coonhound Eddie can be a bit much at times but she made him feel really comfortable. Alex is friendly, reliable, and professional I would recommend her to anyone needing a dog walker or sitter”

About: I’m a natural caregiver, experienced with cat care, dog care, and senior dog care. I work in healthcare and enjoy gardening - tending to the needs of all living things brings me immense joy, whether that is through playing with cat and pup toys, going for walks, or cuddling on the floor or couch (if permitted). I’ve worked with pets with hearing and/or vision impairment and am sensitive to their needs. I will truly treat your pet as if they were my own. As a mid-career professional with no children, I’d love to make myself available to care for your pets! Please note my full time job keeps me away for 8 hour shifts Tues to Friday. I am available for morning walks (7-8am), any time after 5pm, and all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I’m a homebody, so if you choose me to pet sit in your home you can rest assured your pet will receive plenty of good company and TLC. It’s very important to me to follow your instructions to the T. The more you share with me about your fur babies’ needs, the better I can care for them. I appreciate written instructions in whatever level of detail you are willing to provide. I also love to share pics/videos of your pets with you while you’re traveling, if you’re comfortable with that! I’ve completed the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Online training course.

About: I’ve owned two dogs of my own (1 currently - Ellie!) and I regularly dog sit two other dogs owned by a friend. I love dogs and understand their behavior very well. As a dog owner myself, I understand the peace of mind that comes with leaving your dog with someone reliable and trustworthy. I have a full time job Monday through Friday but am generally available on weekends and occasional weeknights. I’m also more flexible on Fridays. I’m comfortable with caring for dogs of all sizes. I would love to help provide potty breaks and walks and playing! For boarding, I have a roughly 30x30ft fenced yard and one 40lb friendly dog of my own.

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was a young child and have 2 of my own that I am absolutely obsessed with! Cats are my speciality. I currently work in Philadelphia as a visiting infusion nurse Monday-Thursday 10hr shifts. And have more availability Friday-Sunday. But also can be available after my shift if needed! I provide attentive, reliable care for pets in my clients' homes so they can stay comfortable in their own environment. I follow each individual pet's routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of affection and attention. I will also provide photos and videos for owners to give them peace of mind!
“I use Sharon regularly to walk my puppy who can be a bit crazy (as puppies are) and she is always sweet to her. I’m new to rover and I’m so glad I found someone I trust in my home and to care for my puppy Bingley who is my world!! Sharon follows my instructions to a tee and is reliable and cares about animals, would recommend.”

“Michael was wonderful with my dog Shelby. He showed up on time each day, and was gentle and patient with her. (She was reluctant to go out sometimes). He communicated with me each day about how it went. Shelby acquainted herself quickly with Michael and started to look forward to her walks. I would highly recommend him. He's definitely a dog lover and is responsible and communicative. Thanks Mike!”

About: I’m a patient and experienced dog owner who has lovingly cared for my own dogs from puppyhood through 17 years of age, gaining hands-on experience with every life stage—from energetic early years to gentle senior care. I understand the importance of consistency, exercise, and compassion, and I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, medications, and lots of affection. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve also pet sat for friends, providing reliable, attentive care tailored to each dog’s unique needs and personality. While I don't currently have any pets, I'm a recent dog parent. Our sweet pug crossed the 🌈 bridge earlier in the year. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pups. This would be a regular part of my weekly routine. When caring for a dog in their home, I would focus on keeping their routine consistent and their environment calm and comfortable. I’d follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walks, playtime, and medications, while making sure the dog gets plenty attention and reassurance. I would monitor their behavior and overall well-being and communicate any concerns. I'll keep their space clean and secure, and provide loving interactions so they feel safe and cared for in their home.
About: Hi! I’m Layla, and I’ve always had a huge love for dogs. I’ve grown up around them and currently have a Cane Corso, so I’m very familiar with caring for big, strong breeds. I regularly walk and watch dogs for friends, family, and neighbors, and I take pride in being someone people trust with their pets. I’m super patient, responsible, and love getting to know each dog’s personality whether they’re playful and energetic or more laid back and cuddly. I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own, and I always make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and having a good time. Whether you need someone for walks, check ins, or overnight care, I’d love to help out! As a college student with a flexible class schedule, I’m able to dedicate time during the afternoons, evenings, and weekends to care for pets. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I make sure to plan around my responsibilities so I can give your dog the attention and care they deserve. Rover fits perfectly into my weekly routine, and I love being able to spend time with dogs while balancing school and life. It’s something I genuinely enjoy not just a side job. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, my focus is always on keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy. I follow any specific routines or instructions you providewhether it’s feeding times, favorite toys, or medication. I make sure they get plenty of playtime, potty breaks, and attention so they feel at ease while you’re away. In your home, I respect your space and try to keep everything clean and stress-free. At my place, I make sure the environment is safe and pet-friendly, especially since I have a Cane Corso and know how important structure and comfort are for dogs of all sizes.
About: I’ve had cats my entire life and have always helped out taking care of my friend’s cats and dogs. When it comes to taking full care of other people’s pets I’ve done a couple of pet sitting jobs in the past year or so. While home from college I have free time almost everyday for most of the day! While I may need to go home to check on my own pets or family I can usually spend most of the day with your pets. I’m a bit of a night owl so morning can be rough but I thrive in the late morning and afternoon! I can’t have pets come over to my house because of my cats, but when at your house I can always be there for your animal! Whether they are playing or just want company while lounging at home!
“Marissa was fantastic. Excellent communication throughout, very flexible with a short-notice schedule change, and took great care of Peanut during all of his walks. Highly recommended.”
About: Hi, I’m a lifelong dog lover with 12 amazing years of experience caring for my sweet pit bull, Colby, who recently passed from old age. He was my heart, and taking care of him taught me so much about patience, love, and the joy dogs bring into our lives. I truly enjoy spending time with pups of all kinds, and I’ll treat yours like family with lots of care, attention, and belly rubs! Hi! I currently work at an elementary school, so my availability is limited until June 19th. After that, my schedule opens up quite a bit! I’ll likely be working a summer education job with hours from 8 AM to 2 PM, which means I’ll have plenty of time in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends to care for your pup. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, I care for pets the same way I cared for my own dog, Colby—with lots of love, patience, and attention to their unique needs. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I try to keep things as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I follow whatever routine your dog is used to—walks, feeding times, play, meds, and I make sure they get plenty of affection. I want them to feel safe, happy, and cared for the whole time you’re away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for my family for years. But I’m looking to branch out and help others who need help as well! I’m a college student trying to get by and am willing to help out as much as I can! I currently work 2 jobs babysitting 2 times a week in mornings, and in the mall usually nights. But I’m still flexible enough to fit an animal or two in! I will play and take care of your pet as if it’s my own! I will stick to regular routines (if i’m told there’s any) and will try my hardest to keep them happy!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
