“Nicole has been phenomenal with my four dogs for walking. My little boy dog is very shy and he INSTANTLY warmed up to her! Coming multiple times a week she has given my dogs the love and care that they need while I am away. She leaves very detailed notes and sends great photos every time. HIGHLY recommend Nicole for all of your pet needs!!!”

“Michael was wonderful with my dog Shelby. He showed up on time each day, and was gentle and patient with her. (She was reluctant to go out sometimes). He communicated with me each day about how it went. Shelby acquainted herself quickly with Michael and started to look forward to her walks. I would highly recommend him. He's definitely a dog lover and is responsible and communicative. Thanks Mike!”

“My Olive is a mature age and she is a terrier mix. Olive was so calm and happy after her walks with Kyierah. I highly recommend Ms. Kyierah to other pet "parents" and look forward to hiring her again.”

“Marissa was fantastic. Excellent communication throughout, very flexible with a short-notice schedule change, and took great care of Peanut during all of his walks. Highly recommended.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for my family for years. But I’m looking to branch out and help others who need help as well! I’m a college student trying to get by and am willing to help out as much as I can! I currently work 2 jobs babysitting 2 times a week in mornings, and in the mall usually nights. But I’m still flexible enough to fit an animal or two in! I will play and take care of your pet as if it’s my own! I will stick to regular routines (if i’m told there’s any) and will try my hardest to keep them happy!
About: I’ve had cats my entire life and have always helped out taking care of my friend’s cats and dogs. When it comes to taking full care of other people’s pets I’ve done a couple of pet sitting jobs in the past year or so. While home from college I have free time almost everyday for most of the day! While I may need to go home to check on my own pets or family I can usually spend most of the day with your pets. I’m a bit of a night owl so morning can be rough but I thrive in the late morning and afternoon! I can’t have pets come over to my house because of my cats, but when at your house I can always be there for your animal! Whether they are playing or just want company while lounging at home!
About: I’m a single woman who recently lost my dog. I travel a lot for work but would love the companionship of a dog when I am home. I love all dogs and am truly looking forward to having some temporary fur babies as guests. I had a chihuahua and a Bassett hound. Both passed recently and it was heart wrenching. I’m looking to share companionship with all kinds of dogs during my weekends and some week days. My home is animal free. Your fur baby will receive all of my attention. There will be walks and plenty of time spent in my fenced in yard. I’m only accepting house broken dogs. I look forward to chatting with you about dog sitting your fur baby soon. Thank you.
“I am so relieved to have found someone who was able to connect with my 20 month old 110 lb white Shepard. Kimba has a traumatic history and I have worked really hard to rehab him mentally since adopting him a few months ago. He immediately took to Anthony and put his fear-based aggression aside. Anthony constantly sent me updates with photos and followed all my requests to keep Kimba on his daily routine. I highly recommend Anthony to care for your dog.”

About: I have lived with both cats and dogs my whole life and have always loved being around animals. I have experience caring for pets for family members while they were on vacation, including feeding, walking, playing, and making sure they felt comfortable and cared for. I understand how important pets are to a family, and I will treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine because I am graduating college in December and most of my classes are online. I also work part-time, and my job is partially remote, which gives me a very flexible schedule. Because of this flexibility, I am available most days and can adjust my availability to fit pet care needs, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings when needed. I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort in every pet care situation. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walking, medication, and routines to keep pets comfortable and stress-free in their familiar environment. I make sure doors are secure, water is always fresh, and pets are never left in unsafe situations. I treat every pet with patience, respect, and close attention to their individual needs.
About: Hi! I’m Layla, and I’ve always had a huge love for dogs. I’ve grown up around them and currently have a Cane Corso, so I’m very familiar with caring for big, strong breeds. I regularly walk and watch dogs for friends, family, and neighbors, and I take pride in being someone people trust with their pets. I’m super patient, responsible, and love getting to know each dog’s personality whether they’re playful and energetic or more laid back and cuddly. I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own, and I always make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and having a good time. Whether you need someone for walks, check ins, or overnight care, I’d love to help out! As a college student with a flexible class schedule, I’m able to dedicate time during the afternoons, evenings, and weekends to care for pets. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I make sure to plan around my responsibilities so I can give your dog the attention and care they deserve. Rover fits perfectly into my weekly routine, and I love being able to spend time with dogs while balancing school and life. It’s something I genuinely enjoy not just a side job. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, my focus is always on keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy. I follow any specific routines or instructions you providewhether it’s feeding times, favorite toys, or medication. I make sure they get plenty of playtime, potty breaks, and attention so they feel at ease while you’re away. In your home, I respect your space and try to keep everything clean and stress-free. At my place, I make sure the environment is safe and pet-friendly, especially since I have a Cane Corso and know how important structure and comfort are for dogs of all sizes.

About: I treat every pet as if it were my own. I’ve owed three dogs in the past years , two of which were rescues. I worked at a greyhound shelter in the past. I grew up with a cat as child and always been drawn to animals. My house is pet friendly and is a three story row house with a fenced in yard, on a quiet block. I love taking care of animals and will make sure your pet is treated with love and respect! My dog is a friendly and playful Jack Russell mix who loves his walks. My goal is to provide love and company for your pet when you can’t be with them. Whenever I go to someone’s house with pets, they instantly become my best friend!
“Victoria is very reliable and communicative! She was also very accommodating with some unforeseen changes to the plan. I would HIGHLY recommend her, and will certainly book her again in the future!”

“This was my first time using Rover, Alex has been super helpful when we needed a dog walker the most with a new baby on the way. My rescue coonhound Eddie can be a bit much at times but she made him feel really comfortable. Alex is friendly, reliable, and professional I would recommend her to anyone needing a dog walker or sitter”

“Patrick has been wonderful with our two dogs! Communication is prompt, and he is always on time with our weekly walks. He’ll maximize the time spent with our dogs, exploring new walking paths and scenery. He is always responsive to any questions we have, too.”

“For having a literal herd (4 dogs) Michael walks them three times a week and spends quality time getting to know each one to make sure they get their energy out. I would recommend him for all your pet care needs.”

We’ve had a great experience with Nicole! She walks our bernedoodle weekly, is always on time, a great communicator, and brings such a positive energy. She clearly loves what she does and our dog is always excited to see her every visit. It’s a huge relief knowing our dog is in such caring hands. Highly recommend!

Wondered how I would find a dog walker my dogs know on Thanksgiving Day. Naomi to the rescue! I knew I could depend on her to come while we would be gone for several hours and the dogs just love her. They ate well but a little hesitant to walk. Naomi offered to walk a second time, but I knew they would be ok till we go home. And they were. Thanks so much Naomi and I know we will always contact you first.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
