“Beth was available and flexible when I found myself in a pinch and needing just one day of care for my pup. Her family took good care of my pooch and gave him lots of cuddles, which I know he enjoyed.”

“Maryori was 12/10! Not only did she take in Cooper last minute she was very sweet and accommodating. She kept me updated on Cooper the entire time. You won’t regret keeping your pup with her. This was the first time but it won’t be the last I book with her!”

“Milissa was super responsive and accommodating for our last minute request! Our pup was kept company the entire day with walk and lounge updates provided as well. Very convenient option for anyone in the NE area.”

“Roseanne’s home was calm and peaceful - exactly what my little old man needed. She and her boys gave him lots of snuggles and hugs, but best of all - he got his first ever time swimming in the pool - he loved it!! (And I loved the video). What a wonderful day he had.”
“Lauren took good care of my dog Maple. Maple was a bit anxious but Lauren made her feel at home. By the end of the stay, Maple seemed very happy. I’d definitely recommend Lauren and I will be sure to book again.”

“My dog sitter cancelled last minute. Brineydi responded quickly and ensured me Midnight was adjusting well. Although, it was for a few hours she send pictures and kept me updated. I would book with her again in the future.”

“Natalie did a great job watching my dog Greta while I was at work. Greta was a very happy pup after spending a fun filled day with Natalie and her dog Luna.”

“Wonderful experience. Last minute request with a quick response. Her house is very welcoming and the background is the best. All dogs were very friendly and used to have guests at home, including the cat. 100% recommended! Thank you”

“My dog, Riley, has separation anxiety and this when is the first time he was left with somebody else at their house. After 6 hours, when I came to pick him up, I have never seen him so at ease and tuckered out! I saw videos of him running with the caregiver's other dog, and he was having the time of his life! I am so extremely glad that I found Joe, and I'm going to use him in the future for sure!”

About: I only sit 1 dog at a time (unless from the same family). I lost my dog after 14 years so I am very experienced. Perfect home for those dogs who are unpredictable with other dogs or small children. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR DOGS THAT HAVE ANY POTENTIAL AGGRESSION TOWARDS PEOPLE. I am for the most part home and available while caring for your dog. The most I may leave them alone is one hour, only if necessary. I only sit one dog at a time (unless from same owner) to avoid any dog skirmishes. I usually feed and take your dog out at 7am. We go for a 30 min walk around 11am. Thereafter there are multiple potty breaks in the backyard on a lead. Last potty break is around 9-10pm. They are welcome to sleep with me in my bed if they are clean.
“Brian was great! Super flexible with my odd work hours. Finn was very nervous as Brian was his first sitter, but he ended leaving with a wagging tail! Loved the photo updates as well!”

“I have a lazy 8 month old Labradane that I've never left with anyone before that isn't me or my fiancé. He's a very sensitive stomach little boy and his health is so important as he's in training to become my service dog so I wasn't going to leave him with just anyone. I contacted Brijana and set up a meet and greet. Once I met her I wasn't even worried. Her and her boyfriend were so sweet and asked great questions to get to know my boy, he instantly loved them too. First day with her and I felt bad having to go pick hemingway up because he was having so much fun!!! She was very informative, timely, professional, and just extremely welcoming. Cannot wait for his next stay and I highly recommend her. She's knowledgeable and pairs all of her animals accordingly!”
“Tim came highly recommended, and now I know why! He was so understanding and patient as I navigated having him care for my senior dog, and he was clearly attentive to her. I will be back!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Delran Township
Great experience, we traveled from out of state, Matthew and and Leanna provided a comfortable, safe and loving environment for our lilGirl. Top notch communication, lots of updates with photos, our Girl was happy with every pick up and drop off. They truly care and it shows, I couldn't be happier, what a blessing to find them and they will always be our 'go-to' for our girl. Thank you so much for loving our Gigi.

Michael and Donna are absolute sweethearts. They made my pug feel right at home and his dogs were super playful with him as well. They are very caring and loving, so much so that my dog didn't want to leave. Highly recommend Michael for anyone needing doggy services in the South Jersey area.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
