About: Hi! I’m Jenny From The Block. Dog lover, rescuer, and mom. I have 30 plus years of experience with my own and others’ dogs — and pets/animals of all kinds really. I’m married with 3 almost-grown boys. Everyone knows my favorite “boy” is a 4 year old, 20 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell(?) mix rescue named Brodie. He’s very social and kind, and he loves to play. In his bow tie, he looks like a tiny, furry old man. He’s trained and great with other dogs. These days, he's a bit sad & lonely because we recently lost our puppy Akira to epilepsy. I have experience administering meds, adhering to a strict schedule, seizures, emergency medical care… I have experience with older and special needs animals, and puppies are no problem. As an owner of dogs with anxiety, I can assure you that your pup will receive the personalized attention that they need. I have lots of experience with high anxiety dogs and the behavior that can come along with an anxious dog. Patience and trust is key. I’ll like to brush the dogs daily for a healthy coat and to reduce anxiety (and reduce shedding!). I have 3 years professional obedience training from puppy on up. I have no issues with any sort of crates, collars, housing types, etc… We have crates if your pup feels more secure there or just needs some “me time.” Or they can play, lounge or nap in our separate doggie lounge area. My pets are allowed on furniture and sleep in the bed with us. I’m happy to accommodate your dog in whatever conditions they are most used to at home, makes them (and you!) most calm, comfortable, and happy when away from home. I am a stay-at-home mom, so I'm free to spend a lot of time playing with and taking care of your dog. My schedule is flexible and dictated by the “dogs’ days.” Some days we have tons of energy and are excited to get outside to run, play and release energy. Other days are lazy days, where snuggles, naps and belly rubs are in order. I love playing and cuddling with all the furbabies and will sit down on the floor with them for one on one and pack time. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell who’s having more fun! Most dogs need daily exercise to keep them from getting bored or anxious, and to release energy. Weather-permitting, a typical morning or afternoon includes a long walk in my quiet & safe neighborhood. It’s a great opportunity to get exercise and practice commands & and good manners with other (friendly) dogs we meet. Or, we might spend time in the yard playing, exploring, chasing squirrels, birds or each other… followed by a nice nap in the sun. Regular activity and stimulation results in a calm, happy dog at pick up. I have a relatively flexible schedule. I am available on weekends and weekdays and can work with you on your specific pick up, drop off, daycare, and boarding time table. I treat all dogs as if they are my own. My services are tailored to your pet's unique needs, ensuring they get all the love, playtime, and belly rubs they are used to at home! (Possibly more!) My fun but firm approach has earned me the title of 'dog whisperer'. Dogs are innately pack animals and don’t always like being alone, so it’s important that your dog trusts me and we bond. I am with them all day when they’re here. Pet safety as my top priority, you can trust that your furry friend will be in good hands with me. When we go outside, I stay with them at all times. I have secure fencing around the backyard. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors. I live in a quiet, safe, dog-friendly neighborhood. My home is also safe, secure and animal-friendly. I have space for crates if you need your dog to sleep in a crate at night, otherwise they are free to sleep with me. For a smooth transition, I ask you pack your pup's collar/harness, leash, food, and crate or other items they enjoy. Please let me know if your pet has any medical limitations, physical limitations, any other sort of restriction. Also, if they have a history of reactivity/aggression towards people or dogs so I can accommodate their behavior. You can have 100% peace of mind when your fur baby is with me.
9. Rosemary M.
“Rose loves every animal she comes across. She has often taken care of my roommate's dog when we need to travel. I would recommend her to anyone.”
10. Gabrielle G.
“Gabrielle is great and came through last minute.”
11. Keri H.
“Keri will be a great pet sitter for you because she lives in a house where she grew up with pets her whole life. She has come to have a lot of knowledge about caring for the pets in our own family and has always been curious about all sorts of animals and she extends both to looking after other owners’ pets as well. She has been doing pet sitting for about 2 years now and enjoys meeting both new people and their pets. She loves to take pics for the owners and check in as needed to keep you up to date on how things are going. She is trustworthy and very dependable.”
12. Samantha K.
“Samantha walked my dog daily for months. She is very reliable, friendly and my Dog loved her! Samantha was prompt every day at the scheduled walk time and gave daily feedback on that days walk! She has been hands down the best and most reliable dog walker I’ve come across!”
13. Janette G.
“I’ve known Janette for the past couple years through our local Corgi Club. Janette and I bonded over our shared devotion to our babies. I would highly recommend Janette to watch and love your babies while you’re away or at work. She is such a kind and responsible person and that shows in the care of her own animals.”
14. Brianna B.
“We have only used Brianna for 2 days so far but we will continue using her in the future because her service is great! Oliver loves his mid day walk when my fiance and I are at work all day and she always keeps us update on how he is doing during her time at the house. If anyone is looking for someone to treat their pet like their own, we would recommend contacting Brianna!”
15. Gabrielle R.
“Thanks!”
16. Kristina S.
“Hello my name is Stefanie and I am a family friend writing this for Kristina. Kristina is a very respectful young woman who I highly recommend. Kristina has done drop in visits for my leopard geckos, crested geckos, and bearded dragon Levi. She is a godsend who is not afraid of the big worms my boy loves to eat. Kristina has done overnight visits for my 2 dogs Oscar and Bella. They both are super excited to see her whenever she comes over. She gives them lots of cuddles and plays with Bella to burn her puppy energy, while petting Oscar who is older and loves constant pets. Kristina always sends me a picture of her with my pets and they always look relaxed and happy which keeps me at ease while I'm away. Definitely recommend kristina for pet sitting, your pets will appreciate it.”
17. Quentin G.
“Quentin is responsible in all aspects of life and it very much so shows when it comes to pets. He is the caregiver that takes time out of his day to play with a pet, to lay with them on the couch or take them for a long walk and to make sure they have all the fresh water or food that they need. A pet could never fwonder how much Quentin cares for them.”
