First things first: I'm pet first aid certified! Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I follow all instructions closely and aim to create a calm, low-stress environment. I do quick safety checks throughout the day, keep pets supervised, leashed in unsecured areas, and never introduce unfamiliar animals without approval. I’m watchful of behavior, appetite, and energy levels, provide thoughtful photo updates, and confirm vet and emergency information in advance. My approach is attentive, prepared, and personalized so pets feel secure and owners have peace of mind!!

Information David L. would like to know about your pet
Please provide a clear breakdown of their daily routine, including specific feeding schedules with portion sizes and any required medications or supplements. It’s also important for me to know about your pets' unique personalities and triggers, such as how they react to other animals, strangers, or loud noises like thunder. For safety, I require your veterinarian’s contact information, a local emergency contact who isn't traveling with you, and a signed veterinary release form authorizing care in your absence. Lastly, please include any necessary access instructions for keys or alarms, the location of cleaning supplies, and your Wi-Fi password so I can stay in touch with regular updates!
A typical day
A typical day with your pets is focused on keeping them safe, happy, and strictly on their familiar home routine. I usually start with morning feedings and a refresh of water bowls, followed by a walk or a backyard bathroom break to get their energy out. Throughout the day, I balance active time with relaxation, providing regular updates and photos so you can see how they’re doing. For fun, I love incorporating mental enrichment activities like "seek and find" treat hunts, using puzzle toys to keep their minds sharp, or playing interactive games like flirt pole chase and gentle tug-of-war. For my cat clients, I enjoy using wand toys to mimic prey or setting up "neighborhood watch" perches near windows for visual stimulation. The day always ends with a calm wind-down, including plenty of hugs and a final check to ensure everyone is tucked in and comfortable for the night.

Experienced, responsible pet lover!
Pet care experience
Hi! I’m David, a dedicated pet caregiver with 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals (including birds and mice!). Pets have been in my family since I was 8 years old. I bring playfulness, patience, and genuine affection to every walk, drop-in, or overnight stay. I’ve cared for breeds of all sizes and temperaments, from playful puppies to senior pups needing gentle care and extra comfort. I love tailoring each visit to fit your pet’s personality and routine! I even have a digital log of videos documenting my walks, feedings, and giving medicines! Responsibility, accountability, and tracking sets me apart. Try me out!

Reviews

Colton loves David! David takes his time and really cares for your pet. Highly recommended

Great!!

David was so friendly, super easy to work with, and followed all of my instructions to a T when walking Teddy! Communication was a breeze, and I’d happily recommend him to anyone looking for great care for their pup.

David not only saved me on July 4th which was my daughters wedding and my dog sitter cancelled at last minute, I fractured my ankle today and didnt know how I was going to take Bailey out down 2 stories of stairs. I reached out at 600pm and although he lives 10 miles from me he said he would absolutely come at 830pm to take her out for me! He is mine and Baileys hero jumping into action again last minute. If your ever in a bind or just need a caring trustworthy pet sitter David is your guy!
