“Tiffany did a wonderful job taking care of my anxious dog Churro! My house was spotless when I got home and she sent regular photos and updates, and handled his medication schedule too. He was happy and well cared for all week. Churro and I look forward to working with Tiffany again!”

“Andrew did a great job with my pooches. I think they didn’t even miss me after three days being gone. He was very quick to respond and was great with the communication. The dogs instantly took to him when they met him. Would definitely use his services again.”

“Joanna was great. She obviously loves cats and knows a ton about them, which made me very comfortable leaving her in charge of my 2 guys. She sent me updates including video clips of her engaging and playing with the boys every day. Would definitely rebook”

“Keeley took such great care of Finn and really helped ease my worries about leaving him alone for the weekend. We actually got home a little early and had the chance to spend some time chatting with her before she left, which was so nice. Finn absolutely adored her and was genuinely sad to see her go. We would definitely trust her with him again!”

About: As the proud owner of 2 Goldendoodles and 2 cats, caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I'm reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, extra playtime, or a calm and caring companion while you're away, I'll provide the same level of care and attention that I give my own pets every day. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. As a pet owner to 2 Goldendoodles and 2 cats, I am used to providing regular walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention every day. During the school year, I am available before and after work, as well as evenings and weekends. During school breaks, holidays, and summer, I have much more flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. I am organized, reliable, and committed to making sure pets receive consistent care and companionship while their owners are away. The safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet are my top priorities. I take time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide consistent, individualized care. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and household rules. As a pet owner of 2 Goldendoodles and 2 cats, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for your furry family members. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while ensuring pets are always supervised and secure. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident and connected while they're away. My goal is to create a safe, stress-free environment where pets feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for.
“Samantha went above and beyond for our giant Newfie. She was very communicative and sent photos and offered to stay a bit longer with him the day we were flying back home. She administered medication and made sure he ate at the right times. He’s also a big mess (slobber and shedding) and I was shocked when I walked in - it was obvious she cleaned up after him which I was not expecting. She was truly amazing :)”

“Mary was amazing -We received pics and updates and knew the dogs were okay each day we were gone. She was very patient with our timid shy boy and puppy . We will definitely try and book her again if she will have us :)”

“Alex was great our dog Lulu had a great time with her. She diligently said updates and responded very quickly to questions and shared lots of pictures! Our house was immaculate when we came home! We will always be using Alex from now on whenever possible! Your pets in great hands with her!”

About: I have had 2 dogs and been watching them one since I was little and other since I was a teen to current. I’ve watched my family's dog for a week and making sure they get their exercise, feed, and playtime in. I do not have a job currently so I will be available for any day, if there’s any routines for your pets I advise to have it written on paper or text so I can follow it along with times. Prefer trained pets and if they have any cages/beds they can go to, I love animals dearly and I would do anything to make sure that they feel safe and that i’m not a threat.
“Daniel housesat for us. Really appreciate how on-time, and clean and respectful of the house he was. He provided multiple updates and photos throughout the day. Will definitely use Daniel again.”

“Nicholas was an incredible sitter for our elderly dog Stella. She requires a lot of extra gentle care, can’t see or hear well, & requires diaper chances multiple times a day. Nicholas handled everything with ease, sent us lots of updates and photos, & gave us incredible peace of mind on our trip!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet and house sitter. When I first met Mer, she was clearly experienced and comfortable with Walter (he can come on a little strong since he loves visitors) but she wasn’t intimidated at all. Mer took the time to understand Walters routines and quirks (he has many) which immediately made me feel comfortable about trusting her with my big 90 pound baby. While I was away, we kept in touch so I knew Walter was well cared for. The photos looked like they were having a great time! Mer treated my home and my dog with kindness and respect, as if they were her own. I would definitely recommend Mer and will be booking her again next trip.”
About: Hi there! My name is Nicky (he/they) and I’ve been taking care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and family members for upwards of a decade and am commonly regarded as the go-to sitter in my community. I strive to treat every pet (and owner) with the utmost respect and kindness, and I’ll follow your instructions to a T! (The T stands for toe beans 🤓) Currently unemployed due to layoffs in my industry, so I’ll be able to give your fur bestie as much attention as possible! I can do overnights, multiple nights in a row, or just a drop-in/walk; whatever you need - I got you! :) I have a fenced yard in front of my apartment complex so your fur bestie can run free and tire themselves out before beddybye! I can crate your pup if you provide one or they can get some shut-eye on the couch or wherever they’re comfy!

“Donna and Stephen were great! It was our first time leaving our energetic puppy and they quickly put my mind at ease about leaving him. We came back to a happy puppy and cat and a clean home. We appreciate how well they cared for our fur babies and respected our home. Wouldn’t hesitate to book them again!”

“Anana took wonderful care of my dogs. Communication between us was excellent and my dogs were clearly taken excellent care of while I was away She also left my house in perfect condition. Highly recommend.”

“Adam is the best house guest and pet buddy. I know he is loved and adored because he gets the same pile on treatment we do as evidenced by the photos he has sent. He leaves the home immaculate and is very timely, caring, and communicative.”

About: Hello, my name is Hannah. I am a part time art instructor and online Art Therapy student. I prioritize attentiveness and timeliness in my teaching as well as dog walking and sitting. I love all animals, have dog walked locally on and off since I was in middle school, and have had a dog of my own for 10 years. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. I am an active person and look forward to taking your pet on frequent walks, or even runs! I’m currently working part-time and attending online school, so I have a lot of availability for overnight dog sitting, as well as many walks and drop-ins throughout the day. Besides a few mid-day classes and teaching the occasional night class, my schedule allows me to be very flexible. I treat all pets the way I would want my own dog, Sailor, to be treated. Your pets safety and happiness are my top priorities! I aim to create a stress free experience for you, and a fun experience for your pet.
“Renee was wonderful with our 4 pets! She house sat for us for a few days and followed all of our instructions. Everything went so smoothly. She was very considerate and was not afraid to ask questions during her stay, which I prefer. She went above and beyond taking our dogs on super long walks (which she def didn’t have to, esp in the winter weather!). I am thankful to have had Renee taking care of our animals and will def rebook in the future!”

“Sade was a great sitter for our dog and cat! We felt at ease the whole time we were away. Sade sent daily photos and updates and was easy to communicate with. We came home to happy pets and a very clean apartment. We’d definitely have Sade sit for our dog and cat again!”

Emily is terrific! She is a true animal lover and pays close attention to my dog, making her feel comfortable and happy. Emily also took great care of our plants and house while we were on vacation. I highly recommend her. She will be your pet’s next best friend!
Rosy and Josh were excellent house sitters. They were great communicators with frequent updates on how Izzy was doing. They definitely gave her lots of love and attention while we were out of town. We could tell when we got back home that she was very comfortable with them and had a good time. We will definitely be asking them to house sit again for us. Thanks!

Jiayi was AMAZING with our pets!! We have a ZOO and she was so on top of everything. She sent photos and reached out with any questions and made me feel very comfortable having my fur babies in her care. I would recommend her to anyone. She’s really a gem. Thank you Jiayi!!! We will definitely use you again.

I am sorry I waited a week before leaving this review; it took me a week to settle back into my life and to observe my dog, Clyde, after I had left him in the care of another sitter and Nicholas for four days each. My primary goal in booking through Rover was to ensure the care of Clyde. I am very pleased with Clyde's condition and energy in the week I have been home. As his care was split between two sitters, I would have to say that both gave him the attention and care that he needed. My other goal was the care of my house which, I believe, was also excellent. Highest marks to Marny and to my other sitter.

Abby was great with Cubby when we were away for the weekend. We have a distinct dog and home routine, and she followed the routine very well. She was great in updating us with feeding and potty updates. She communicated with us in a timely manner and showed up on time. Her genuine care for Cubby showed through her work. We appreciated Abby's patience when there was an unexpected change in schedule and she managed the change with grace. We came home to a happy dog, and although I'm sure he missed us, it also showed he was well taken care of when we were away. We highly recommend Abby to care for your pets and look forward to having her care for Cubby when the opportunity comes again.

Sade was a great sitter for our dog and cat! We felt at ease the whole time we were away. Sade sent daily photos and updates and was easy to communicate with. We came home to happy pets and a very clean apartment. We’d definitely have Sade sit for our dog and cat again!

Christina did a great job taking care of Cubby while we were away for a weekend. She kept us updated with photos and updates of feeding and bathroom breaks. She has also been doing excellent work with drop-ins during the week. We highly recommend Christina and we’ll continue our partnership with her as long as we can!

As the owner of 3 dogs, Andrew is very knowledgeable about dogs. He immediately connected with our dog right when he walked in the door. Andrew took her outside and to the basement to get exercise and have some play time. He did a great job! I’d recommend him to any dog-owner for pet sitting.

Bailey was so attentive to our dogs and kept my plants and veggies alive and well too! She sent great pictures showing how relaxed and happy our dogs were, and she kept us informed of anything out of the ordinary. The yard was also picked up, the dishwasher had been run, and while it was clear our pups missed us, it was evident that they were tremendously well cared for in our absence.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Morton Grove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Morton Grove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Morton Grove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Morton Grove. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
