Throughout my life, I've shared my home with six dogs of my own and several foster dogs. I have my own dog, River, about half the time, as I share custody with my ex. River is wonderful with other dogs; her favorite thing is creating a "puppy pile" by curling up next to—or sometimes right on top of—whoever happens to be nearby. I adopted an elderly cat from a family friend who could no longer care for her, and I also adopted a turtle from a friend who moved. About: Ive had a variety of pets in my life, including birds, fish and hamsters. I’ve never had a dog or cat of my own, but have always wanted one. I’ve dog-sat for friends and family consistently throughout my life, and have always had a special connection with dogs in particular. I hope to have a dog of my own one day. But until I can truly dedicate the time, space and finances to making sure they have the best life possible, I can find peace in playing with and taking care of any dog who might need my help. I work remotely full-time as a graphic designer, so as long as I have my laptop and Wi-Fi, traveling to a home is not a problem. It also will allow me to take many breaks to walk or play with your dog as much as they may need. I can only accommodate a smaller dog in my home, since I have other people in the house. When tending to a dog in a clients home, I can fit any preference they may have. Again, my only non-negotiable obligation is my full-time job, which is remote.

About: hello! my name is charlize i’m 22 i’ve grown up with animals my whole life and now i currently work at an animal hospital helping taking care of the dogs and cats that come in to see the vet. i’m very experienced with animals and taking care of animals and i love all different kinds of animals. i’ve worked at the animal hospital now for two and a half years and its been the most amazing two and a half years of my life. i am also going to school to practice becoming a veterinarian so i am really excited to meet all new furry friends for more experience. i am good with administering medication, i am good with dealing with aggressive dogs, i am good with any diabetic cat or dog with dosing insulin. you name it and i can do it!! i work part time hours at the animal hospital during the summer months and full time during fall and winter but i am extremely flexible, as i work on my terms and conditions. i am willing to fit last minute accommodation if it works with my personal schedule but i can also take time out of my day if needed to walk a dog etc. i unfortunately cannot have pets in my building but i am more than willing and able to go to anyone else’s beloved home to pet sit, or walk, or feed animals. i come in with a soft expression and wait for the animals to get used to me and my scent and then i wait for their approval to come further in their home/space. i am very careful to not touch them when they don’t want to be touched and i am always patient with animals especially if they’re new to my route.
