“Juliette was awesome and super attentive with my cat Obi. She asked about Obi’s food schedules and daily routines before and during our “getting to know you” visit. When I noticed Obi had puked (through camera on the feeder), Juliette went to visit Obi as soon as she could, and very promptly updated me on how Obi’s doing. The after-visit summaries were also very detailed. I loved receiving them and also seeing the lovely cat pics. I would absolutely have Juliette pet sit again. :)”

“Stephanie is wonderful. She is sweet and caring with my old dog. She is very responsive to questions and flexible in scheduling. Feel lucky to have found someone I can trust with my dog!”

“Another great visit with my kitties from attentive and detail oriented Cheryl! My two cats love when she visits and I feel safe and sound knowing they're getting the best care possible. Cheryl sends great photos also.”

About: I've served as a lead volunteer at a local cat rescue for the past two years where my responsibilities include basic cat care (feeding, litter box cleaning, playing and enrichment), behavior support and matching cats to potential adopters. Through this rescue I have also fostered kittens and a few adult cats who need medicine administration and time away from the shelter. Last, but certainly not least, I grew up always with a cat in the house, and adopted my own, Greta, five years ago. I work full time (Monday thru Friday, 9-5), but am available for visits with your pet after work and on the weekends in the mornings and evenings. I have a dedicated room for your pet to stay in (my home office), and they will be completely separate from my cat, Greta. In between animal visitors or fosters, I do a full wash of all fabrics in the room, and disinfect all hard surfaces with Rescue, a popular disinfectant used in veterinary offices and animal shelters. I also have a Ring camera installed in the room, so I am able to check in on your pet even when I am not at home.

I have a lot of animal care experience - everything from cats and dogs to large farm and zoo animals - so I know how to handle pets of any size! I’m looking for a way to make some extra money when I’m not working, so I hope you’ll trust me to take your fur baby! I am a zookeeper at the Santa Barbara Zoo, so animal care is my entire job. I pride myself on high levels of attention, safety, and love that I provide to all the animals around me! I am a very vigilant sitter, and I promise to take the very best care of your pet while out and about. If you have any special requests or questions, please feel free to reach out.

“Kathleen watched my cat Odie over a long weekend and took great care of him. She’s easy to communicate with, is very knowledgeable about animals, and sent plenty of pictures with each visit. I felt totally comfortable with her caring for Odie as soon as I met her. Thanks for taking such good care of Odie! I’d love to have you watch him again!”

“Cassandra did a wonderful job watching our dogs on a niche rover experience to hold them while we got married inside the Santa Barbara courthouse!! Thank you for helping on our special day!”

About: New to Santa Barbara and open to one time/reoccurring clients! I've been around and owned dogs/cats/lizards/bunnies/horses my whole life. I have 4 years of experience as a dog handler at doggy daycares in Arizona and most recently Chicago. Through my experience, I can confidently say I can follow feeding routines, administer medication, monitor dogs' behavior, and follow proper leashing procedures. I have worked with dogs under 10 lbs up to 150+. I have worked with high-anxiety, reactive and special needs dogs and can assure you I have all the patience in the world to insure the comfort and safety of your pet. I have a 1.5year old German Shepherd who has vastly expanded my skills in dog handling and training. At my most recent job one of my key roles was guiding puppies and adolescents through social interactions as well as practicing being on a leash. I’m happy to work on leash manners with dogs of any age! I am on Rover full time at the moment so I have all the time in the world for your furry friends! I do have my own dog and 2 cats so I’m not currently available for any over night stays. I have my own car and live close to down town so same day bookings are no problem! I am a strong believer in leaving a place better than you found it. I can assure you that safety, trust, ( and fun of course!) are my top priorities. I am very precise when following instructions and caregiving needs. My relationship with your furry friend is just as important to me as the relationship I have with you! I will be sure to have clear and consistent communication with you throughout any booking. I also love love love getting good pictures of pups and will be sure to send you many!

“Leo was fantastic with Reggie. We heard from Leo regularly with text check-ins and photos and never doubted our little guy was in good hands. By the time we were back from our vacation, the two of them were essentially best buds. Would definitely work with Leo again!”

About: I have been caring for animals since I was a young girl. I have experience and knowledge with a wide range of breeds, behaviors, and pet wellness. As someone who has raised and loved dogs throughout my life and is fortunate to have an Aunt who is a veterinarian, I believe I am uniquely qualified to care for other people's animals as well. I currently have a 30lb scruff named Lily who is a Griffon Verdeen mix and enjoys playing, napping, and going on long sniff walks. I always have her greet other dogs on a walk before letting them into the house so that both dogs can get their excitement energy out before the house sniffing begins. If you have any questions or special needs, please feel free to reach out and discuss them. I can currently work remotely, so my daily routine is adaptable to the needs of the day. I am available for walks throughout the day and check-ins. I have a fenced in backyard, friendly neighbors, a playful medium sized dog and a dog-friendly home. I also feel comfortable house sitting if that is a need as well.

About: I've always taken to my friends' dogs and have been a big lover of dogs. Took my friends' dogs for walks in college when missing my own - and they absolutely love me! I'll be working part time during the week (M-F) but mostly free after working hours or on the weekends for walks, house sitting, and any of your other needs! I ensure I attend the pets' needs and spend time with the pups. Will always maintain sight of your pets and ensure to follow all specified care instructions

“Ryan was great with my kitty, communicative and responsive. I had another holiday cat sitter booked well in advance through Rover who canceled on me, and I’m so glad I found Ryan! I was nervous about leaving my clingy cat alone for 8 days during the holidays, but Ryan set my mind at ease both with abundant pre-sitting assurance and visits, as well as while I was gone with daily messages and photos of my baby. Ryan clearly knows cats (as he has cats of his own) and my cat seems perfectly happy with him. I would book Ryan again (and I’m sure my cat will be happy to see her friend).”
