“Our dog can be very shy and nervous around new people, but with Melissa, she felt comfortable from the very beginning. It was incredible. It feels so good to have someone you can trust. Thank you, Meli.”

“Carole has been an incredible addition to our support team with Orfeu. She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and has already helped us provide our highly anxious pup with more structure and security. We are beyond impressed with her professionalism and care. We would recommend her very highly to anyone!”

“Thank you so much for taking lucky on a walk!!! He looks like he had so much fun with you, and I really appreciate how you went above and beyond to refill his water, clean his paws, and help get him back in his cone post-surgery. We can’t wait til next time :)”

About: I use empathy to connect with the animals, which allows me to build a bond - that's why there is an angry toothless chihuahua that considers me part of the family even though I'm just a parent's friend. My schedule is very flexible, so I will easily adjust my morning/afternoon/evening to make sure that your fur-child has exceptional care and all the necessary attention I will ensure that all the messes are cleaned up, you'll be informed of anything that might be happening between visits or if anything happens that concerns me. You'll have a detailed report on what I do to provide perfect care for your baby and a picture of them (should they wish to interact)

“I was new to the area and needed a dog walker within a few days notice. And somehow got lucky enough to stumble upon Mary Rose’s profile. She’s incredibly sweet and responsive, and truly loves animals. Whether it be just a walk in the neighborhood or staying overnight, I truly have zero worries about leaving my dog and two cats. You can tell she loves what she does. Although she’d say she was the lucky one, pretty sure I win! :)”

About: I’ve had several large breed dogs since I was a child. I am comfortable handling dogs that pull and are like little tanks. My rottie used to stop and sniff everything, and he set our pace on walks. I’m an adjunct English professor, so I can also help your pets with their college admission essays.I am open all summer, but will be teaching in the evenings this fall. I can’t currently care for your pets in my apartment, because my cats said no, but I will be respectful and careful in your home.

“Patty was great! I utilized her for walking mine and my roommate’s dogs. She responded quickly, was flexible with my situation, took good care of the pups, sent some lovely photos of them from their walk. Would definitely use her again.”

“Liz is AWESOME, and we could not be more tickled to have connected with such a kind and responsive new friend! We will be calling again on our future visits to New Haven!!”

About: I have experience caring for big and small dogs, cats, rabbits, and bearded dragons. I grew up with a dog who had occasional seizures - so I am comfortable administering oral medications and dealing with high stress situations. Pet Drop In's / Walks: I work from home in East Rock so I am available to do pet drop-in’s and walks most days (mornings, afternoons, and evenings) and can adapt to the schedule that works best for you and your pet! I prefer to meet your pet and learn more about their routine before caring for them. I will give your animal the care and level of attention that they prefer - whether that’s long walks with your energetic pups, putting out food and not disturbing your shy cat, or monitoring your rabbit as they get some free time to hop around!

“Paul was just perfect for my needs. He walked my two Welsh Corgi's while I was away. He was always prompt, courteous and considerate. My pups grew to like him a lot, and the walking became and happy for them. My husband, who remained at home during this trip, was very pleased. Thank you Paul!”

About: Dogs love me, I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I talk to them in a baby voice like they’re the kid I never had…or maybe it’s the pupperoni treat that’s been forgotten in my pocket for two months. I’ve cared for the family dog/s while growing up from the age of 8 to 25 (including playing, walking, picking up the poo, training to sit/stay/come/play dead/shake, swimming and chasing squirrels together). I’m really good with dogs. Nah, I’m GREAT with dogs! If cats are you jam, I single-handedly loved and cared for two at the same time. Cat One was a challenging gal who was a selfish, particular, mean-spirited, chubby princess. I kept this diva alive for 18-years with no thanks or gratitude. I suspect she lived so long out of pure spite. Her step sister, Cat Two I loved for 16-years. She was a purebred Persian (ie: I know how to brush). She actually acted more like a friendly dog really, so maybe she doesn’t count under my cat experience? I work from home, ten hour shifts M-Th from 7am to 5-ish. I can take breaks during the day for feeding, walks or a little pettin’/pee break. I score higher than a kite on the Big Five personality traits under ‘conscientiousness’. Your fur darlin’ and belongings are safe with me. We’ll laugh, we’ll play, we’ll have quality petting time.

About: I have been pet sitting and boarding through middle school, high school, and now through medical school. Whether it's caring for energetic puppies who need extra attention and playtime or providing gentle support for senior dogs with mobility issues, I tailor my approach to each pet's unique needs. 100% of clients will receive photos of their furry friend in my care. My personal commitment goes beyond just basic care—I prioritize building a bond with each pet, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. A majority of my schooling is online so I have a very flexible schedule for walks, home visits, etc. I am free on weekends as well. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort. I maintain a secure environment by following all instructions closely, keeping doors/ gates locked, and ensuring your pet is always supervised. I strive to build trust with your furry friend through patience and positive reinforcement. I also stick to your pet’s regular routines, including feeding, walking, and playtime schedules, to minimize stress. With each visit, I treat your home with the utmost respect, leaving it just as I found it (or tidier, if needed).

About: Hi! My name is Jasie. I am working full-time in healthcare and from home (which gives me lots of flexibility)! Animals bring me so much joy and I love meeting new ones anywhere I go. I am coming back from a break from the app, as I had some years to spend with my roommate’s two lovely cats but they’ve now moved away and I’d love to make some new neighborhood friends! Right now I will focus my business on caring for cats. I have experience with special needs dogs and cats (meds, extra food prep). When you want to spend some time away from home and don’t want to leave your animals alone or even just want some time to yourself, I would love to take care of them! I work from home so have plenty of flexibility to care on dogs and cats, especially dogs when potty time is more needed than usual. I can play with them as I take breaks from work as well! I can crate a dog or cat if needed. I am very careful and like to make sure your pets are in my view from wherever I am most of the time. If I have to leave, I’ll make sure they can’t find trouble!

About: I’ve been an animal-lover since elementary school. I’ve had cats since birth, but at age 8 I saved my money up for a year to buy my own cat and I’ve been taking care of animals ever since. I have experience taking care of cats and dogs of all ages, as well as birds, reptiles, rodents, and aquariums (freshwater, saltwater, and reef.) I even have experience caring for wild animals in a rehabilitation setting, so administering medication or accommodating special needs is no problem! I love finding ways to provide enrichment in your pet’s life. I understand that every animal is different, so I’m happy to get to know your pet’s individual needs and provide plenty of love and patience! I’ll be starting graduate school in the fall, so I’m looking for flexible hours doing things I love! I am available for drop in visits or overnight stays. I’m happy to work with you and be flexible depending on your needs! I would love to spend some time talking with you to understand your pet’s individual needs so that I can provide the best care necessary! I am very patient and caring, so challenging animals are not a problem. If your pet has any special needs I am happy to learn more about what I can do to accommodate for that! I have experience caring for animals in a rehabilitation setting so administering medications or making accommodations for animals is something I’m experienced with!

About: I’ve taken care of many types of dogs and cats from pugs, to raising my 4 year old English cream golden retriever from 2 months to now, to a Bernese mountain dog! Friends and family rely on me to take care of their pets when I am away and I’m all for it! Let me know how I can best serve you and your furry family members! I’m currently a part time medical receptionist and part time nanny headed to Yale for my PA program in the end of July so looking for some fun cuddles before then! I have quite a bit of skill with a range of dogs and have learned quite a bit with my golden from puppy age to now (who is rambunctious as you can imagine!) I care for other peoples pets as I would my own.

“Azeen looked after our yellow lab while we were on vacation. She was terrific. She walked him twice a day, took him swimming, dried him off, and looked after his needs. She even helped with our pool, and turned on our AC on the final day. I highly recommend her, and would not hesitate to use her again. She's also very friendly”

I would absolutely recommend victoria to care for anyone’s pets!”

“Jasie is absolutely amazing with my lab and labradoodle ! Not only did she watch them while I was away on a trip but she would walk them while I was at work! She even went above and beyond and fed my cat while she was there! My dogs are absolutely obsessed with her and she treats them with such care! If I still lived in the state I would 100% hire her again!”

Mikayla & Justin W.Star Sitter

“Very sweet and pays attention to detail! Got along really well with my pup!”

Sophia P.
“Sophie is the best! For the past few years when I’ve traveled, Sophie moves in and takes care of my 14 yr old cat. He’s a cuddler and loves to play, but he also requires meds by syringe and has GI issues that can be sort of…gross. Because she was a Montessori teacher, Sophie was unflappable, calm and capable in all things. She’s very responsive by text/phone, and always sent pictures of my cat while I traveled which was a comfort. She’s friendly, smart, and has a good sense of humor. You’ll love Sophie!”

Brianna R.

“Super helpful, thank you!”

Emily R.
“Emily is so detailed and will go over every step to provide the best possible care. She is timely, patient, responsive, and caring. We love having her take care of our dogs and cat (even though he’s not much for people).”

“Helena was always super responsive and took great care of my little guy throughout the summer. Would highly recommend her services!”
