“Our critters and us…..loved Brianna! So nice to know we have a special person we can trust and count on in the future to care for our fur babies when we can’t take them with us. Thanks much, Brianna!”

About: I have 4 years of senior care experience, dog/ cat sitting, and am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. I love being outdoors and getting to work with families who like to build routine into their fur babies’ lives. I am a morning person! I am up early and available for routine weekday walks. I enjoy caring for others, their pets, and creating a comfortable environment. I take care of an elderly woman and her 2 dogs and 2 cats. Everyday, we all go outside for fresh air and go on neighborhood walks. When her family goes away, I always house sit in the weekends and enjoy caring for her pets.
About: I just finished my first year of veterinary school and have a bachelors degree in Animal Science. Prior to vet school, and during my summers and school breaks, I work as a kennel attendant at a doggie daycare/kennel and a veterinary assistant. In college I was also part of a club that trained guide dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. I have lots of dog/cat sitting experience, as well as experience with horses, rabbits, and various other pets. I am comfortable administering medications and insulin as well. I love all animals and can’t wait to meet your furry friends! I am currently available most days of the week and weekends. I will be in the area until the end of August when I will move back to school. I can provide care for pets in your home and tend to their specific needs. I experience working with a wide variety of pets, including puppies/kittens, seniors, and animals who require medication or insulin injections. I do not offer pet care in my home as of now.
“Carly was AMAZING! It was our first time having a pet sitter stay in our house and it was for an extended period of time. Finding a reliable and trustworthy sitter was my main concern for our trip, but Carley alleviated all of my concerns. She sent regular photos and updates, and we came back to our home in perfect condition. All of the animals love her and I already have her booked for our next trip!”

“Salina was an awesome sitter for our dog, Beck! Beck isn’t the easiest dog, but Salina got along really well with him and took great care of him! We would love to have her sit again for Beck sometime!”

“I had an amazing experience with my dog and pig sitter, Eliza, who stayed at my home for over a week. She took exceptional care of both my dog and pig, and I came home to animals that were clearly happy, relaxed, and well-loved. Eliza made sure both animals received their medicine (rolling with the punches because Buddy got an infection right before we left so it was an added responsibility she took on in stride) Eliza was incredibly thoughtful and sent regular photo updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear from the pictures and her communication that my pets were getting real attention, not just basic care. She was also very communicative and responsive whenever I had questions, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. My dog Buddy clearly bonded with her during the stay, he actually seemed a little sad when Eliza left, buddy went to the room she stayed in when we got home from our trip 😂 before sleeping where he usually. Highly recommend I would trust Eliza again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter.”

“Bianca & Elizabeth did a wonderful job house sitting my two very senior dogs. They both required administering medications as well as specialized care being seniors. It was evident that Bianca & Elizabeth had experience with dogs and felt comfortable caring for them. Both of my dogs immediately took to Bianca & Elizabeth during our first meet and greet. Bianca was also very responsive with communication and sent pictures with updates during our time away which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend them for any type of pet care, and will be booking again for our next trip.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs my entire life and have both personal and professional pet care experience. Growing up, my family had a Pit Bull, Cocker Spaniel, and Bulldog, which gave me early experience with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and care needs. I currently help care for a Pit Bull mix who has been part of my household for the past 5 years. Since 2021, I’ve provided pet sitting, house sitting, and nannying services for multiple families. I’ve cared for a variety of breeds and mixes, including Labrador Retrievers, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Bulldogs, mixed breeds, and multi-dog households. My responsibilities have included feeding, walking, playtime, overnight care, maintaining routines, administering medications, and providing companionship while families are away. As someone who has worked professionally with families and children for several years, I understand the importance of trust, communication, and reliability. I follow care instructions carefully, provide updates when requested, and treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would expect for my own. Whether your dog is energetic, senior, requires medication, or simply needs extra attention and affection, I am committed to providing safe, dependable, and compassionate care. I am currently working part time, which gives me a flexible schedule to provide dependable care, whether that’s daily visits, walks, overnight stays, or extended house-sitting. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I make it a priority to maintain their normal routine, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and keep owners updated while they’re away. I am available for weekday, evening, weekend, and holiday care depending on your needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I have experience caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, including administering medications when needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, maintain established routines, and provide a calm, loving environment to help reduce stress while you’re away. As someone with a professional background working with children and families, I understand the importance of trust, communication, and reliability. I treat every home with respect and every pet like a member of my own family. I provide updates, photos, and clear communication so you can feel confident that your pets and home are in good hands.
“Nicole did an excellent job watching our dog, Hazel, overnight. We were very pleased with her care and professionalism. She arrived on time, communicated with us throughout her stay with Hazel and sent pictures that gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Hazel was well cared for and comfortable, and we truly appreciated Nicole's reliability and attention to detail. We are so happy to have found Nicole and will definitely have her watch Hazel again in the future. Highly recommended!”

“Kyla was superb. She communicated throughout her stay in our home, and our pup and house were both in better shape than when we left it. I loved her wake up and bedtime updates but she sent pictures and updates throughout the day which helped my daughter feel better about leaving our pup behind for our vacation. We would be lucky to have Kyla sit for us again!”

About: Hello! I am 25 years old with a ton of animal experience. I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, and for the most part have trained my families dogs. I went to High school at Norfolk Agricultural High School and was a Veterinary Major there. My High School gave me the opportunity to meet, handle, groom, and train dogs that were not my own. I was also in a 4H club at Natick Organic Farm in which I took care of the live stock that lived there. I have always been the go to dog sitter for my extended family. Due to this I also had to handle dogs of all different sizes and temperaments. I am currently working on becoming an Airline pilot so my days are very wide open and can be manipulated to better suit the care for your pets. I am familiar with most dog training tools. Depending on what is best for your dog I am comfortable using and have been trained to use. I also understand that every dog has different needs.
“Kiley is great as per usual, Callie loves her! She does frequent check ins, is always on time and communicated effectively. Our home is always cared for when we return and our puppy is always happy! Will rebook !”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Milford
Tori was amazing while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon. She stayed at our home for 10 days with our two XL bullies, and we felt completely at ease the entire time. We originally booked for 3 dogs, but had to put our Frenchie, Izzy, down the week before we left. Tori was incredibly understanding and even helped us figure out the refund for the third dog during such a difficult time, which meant so much to us. She communicated consistently, sent photos, and took great care of our dogs. They were happy and well cared for when we got back. She also went above and beyond by cleaning the floors, washing towels, and even changing the couch cover before we came home. Highly recommend Tori, reliable, thoughtful, and truly cares.

Laura did an amazing job with our cat Moo. She took excellent care of his medical needs and made sure to give him lots of snuggles. She also left our home in a very clean state. She even took out the trash and washed her linens. We would love to hire Laura again.

Dana was fantastic with my dogs while I was away! She was a clean and respectful house guest, kept me updated with pictures and messages, and even took the dogs for a nice walk. When I got home, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her hands. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!

Anna was amazing with our cat, Mozzarella! This was our first time using Rover, and she made the whole process so easy with her great communication and updates. Mozzarella absolutely loved her! We felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. We’re so excited to book with Anna again in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Milford
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Milford on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 6,288 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Milford. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Milford walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Milford maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Milford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Milford. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
