“We had a great introduction and walk. Our dog is afraid of new people, but with proper introduction (and the right treats) he warms up well. For this first walk we where present the whole time to make sure our dog’s comfort and confidence would open up. We wanted to find a Rover person who in future we could possibly board with. So we needed him to be happy and relaxed with the new Rover person. At first our dog was nervous and wary, which historically he usually is with new people. But after a bit time and space, yummy treats, and remaning a comfortable walking distance apart from Joshua, his curiousity grew enough where he was willing to approach. Josh got down to his level and which allowed our dog to approach Josh on his own will. When that moment happened we rewarded his curiousity with lots of praise and yummy treats. From then on we walked side by side with Joshua, and our dog warmed up enough where he was frequently looking back anticipating more pets and treats from Joshua during the walk. Joshua also asked us great questions about our dog and his history, to figure out how to best work with him. In the end our dog was so happy when Joshua said “good bye Stitch,” he actually did one last hop-skip towards Josh even though we were getting ready to go to our car the opposite direction away. We have much gratitude for the opportunity to work with Joshua to socialize him more. We are planning on booking in the future for some types of walks too and would be willing to board if needed.”

About: I’ve had a dog by my side since the day I was born. In fact, the only time in my entire life I haven't had a pup around was a single year during college, and that was one year too many. Dogs are a constant in my life, not just a hobby. I have a strong passion for working with disabled and special needs animals. Whether it's managing mobility issues, administering medication, or providing the extra patience required for physical or behavioral challenges, I’m fully committed to that level of care. I’m also very experienced with resource guarding and high energy breeds. I don’t just watch dogs; I work to understand their specific personality and needs so they feel safe and supported. Working from home gives me the flexibility to be truly present and attentive during the week. I am available Monday through Saturday for drop ins, dog walks, vet visits, conditioning sessions, dog transport, or love bombs. I am generally free to help out starting at 2:00 PM on weekdays and have much more open availability on Saturdays. I do not offer services on Sunday. I focus on high quality mobile care for your pups during the week. My priority is being entirely respectful of both your dog’s comfort and your home environment. I understand that every dog has a specific routine and safe space, and I make it a point to maintain that structure to keep stress levels low. About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always been a big dog lover. In 2022, my family got our dog Roxi, who is like my best friend. With Roxi, I’ve been fully involved in everything, walking her, feeding her, training her, and making sure she stays active and happy. I’ve also grown up helping to look after family dogs when relatives go away, so I’m used to different personalities and routines. I’m originally from Ireland and recently moved to Florida after completing my MBA at Marshall University in West Virginia. I now coach youth soccer, so I’m very active, responsible, and used to being around people (and animals) all the time. Moving to the U.S. has been a big change for me, and being away from my family and my own dog has definitely made me miss them a lot, and it’s made me appreciate even more how much I love being around dogs every day. I’d say I’m quite laid-back, reliable, and easy to get along with. I like being outdoors, staying active, and I’m always up for a walk or keeping a dog company rather than just sitting around. I’m also very respectful of people’s homes and routines, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I know how much dogs mean to their owners because mine means everything to me, so I always treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. I’m happy to send updates and photos as well, so owners feel completely comfortable while they’re away. Right now, I coach soccer in the evenings during the week and sometimes on weekends, usually for a couple of hours. Outside of that, my schedule is very flexible. I’m generally available in the mornings, afternoons, and often evenings for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. My coaching hours are not long, so I’m able to work around pet care easily and adjust my schedule when needed. I take care of pets in their own homes so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I make sure they’re well looked after with things like feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and giving medication if needed. I also keep things clean and stick to their usual routine as much as possible. I always spend time with the pets too, whether that’s playing with them or just keeping them company so they don’t feel lonely while you’re away. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you know how they’re doing. I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for the whole time.

About: Animals have been a HUGE part of my life for over 10 years, both personally and professionally! My very first job was working at a doggy daycare before becoming a kennel technician at a veterinary clinic, where I gained a ton of experience caring for animals with all kinds of personalities and needs. Since then, I've done foster work within the Brevard community, taking in animals who needed a safe place to land. I have fostered 8 puppies (at once!), a few Great Danes, and most recently, our Black Lab, Bodie, who was initially a hospice foster due to his kidney disease, but after the rescue could not provide any more funding for his medical issues, we took matters into our own hands and he officially became a foster fail! Besides our most recent addition, Bodie, we have my first ever dog Kole who's now 8 years old, our 4-year-old Golden Retriever, Mac and two rescue cats, Abo and Rocky. But my love for animals goes far past just dogs and cats, I even had a Chinchilla and a Chinese Water Dragon! If there's one thing I understand, it's how hard it can be to trust someone with your animals. My pets mean the world to me, and I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for them. When your pets are in my care, I treat them like they’re my own, with patience, attention, and a BUNCH of love! My schedule is currently very flexible while I complete coursework online, so I have plenty of availability to care for your pets! I can easily work around different routines, schedules, and individual pet needs. I know how hard it can be to trust someone with your pets, so I take that seriously. I like to get to know each pet and their routine, including what they like, what they don’t like, and anything I should know before caring for them. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in, or staying with them while you’re away, I want them to feel safe and comfortable. I’ll also always respect your home and your instructions, and of course I’ll send plenty of pictures and updates so you know your pets are doing good!

About: I have been a cat owner myself for 8 years. I love to spoil my meow machine at home, and hoping to spoil yours too! I feed garlic a fresh bowl of water every morning, with half a can of wet food mixed with hairball supplements in it. Pet/play time at noon and evening, with catnip toy. TV cuddle time at 9 pm. Pet care will be tailored to your pet's needs, we can communicate about your pet's favorite toy, food, walk time, play time, etc, the more detail about your pet's routine would be great for all of us.

About: I am a mom of 2 boys & 2 dogs, "I run a tight ship" with the right balance of structure and play. I work from home and make my own schedule, therefore I am able to make sure that your pet has plenty of individual attention. I offer dog walking services, in house drop in visits, doggie day care or boarding right in my home. I am home while my boys are at school during the day and am available to care for your pet in my home or for a daytime walk. I have a fenced in yard and 2 sweet dogs to keep your fur baby company. I also have 2 large doggie playpens for relaxing and break time.

About: My wife and I have been pet sitting for several years. My clients have all become part of the family. I genuinely love being around animals, going for walks and spending time with animals. We were dog sitting previously in Canada while living there, we would be happy to provide you with additional references. We have the friendliest 7 year old Irish setter who absolutely loves being around people and dogs (He spends a lot of his time at Fred Popp dog park running in circles for an hour). He loves both large and small dogs and he does not seem to care if they are female or male. When pet sitting at your home, my dog will stay home with his other family members . We work from home so were always around. We love walking and being outdoors so your pet will get lots of exercise (I can track the pets walks on my phone and send updates and photos so you know your buddy is having a great time). We will always discuss the pets needs before caring for them as every pet is different and deserves the staycation that's best for them. We will discuss the pets' needs with the owner and come up with a plan that they are comfortable. (I'll do my best to stick to the same routine they have at home )

About: I have been dealing with dogs my whole life. I've babysat my neighbors dogs and friends dogs. I always keep in contact with the owner as much as possible. I communicate lot during the time away from your pets because I know it can be scary at times. But I am a trust worthy person. I just do what the instructions say to do with your pet. All of the animals always warm up to me after awhile. I have a dog of my own so I know how it's hard to trust a person to come into your home and take care of your animal. I love dogs. I am very responsible and nice person I get along with any dog I would say. Everyday any time I have free my schedule is changed a lot so we walk at different times other then that her food schedule is the same.
