“Mindy has been wonderfully patient with my nervous, and overly energetic baby. Seeing my dog get sooo excited to see Mindy a 2nd time was such a gift. Our pup thinks Mindy is now her special friend, there to visit her.”

About: I have over 7 years of experience working with animals through shelters and daycare settings. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I am comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, and giving pets the attention and care they need. My experience has also helped me understand different behaviors, so I can handle shy, energetic, or anxious pets calmly and safely. I truly enjoy working with animals and treat every pet like my own. I currently work part-time babysitting from about 9:30 AM to 1 PM, so I am available before and after those hours. I am also in college working toward my zoology degree, which reflects my passion for animals. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine, and I have plenty of time during the day and evenings to give your pets attention, exercise, and proper care. I am flexible, dependable, and committed to being there when needed. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, and routines. I have experience handling different behaviors from my time in shelters, which helps me stay calm in any situation. Whether in your home or mine, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I will also keep you updated with messages and photos so you feel confident while you’re away.

“Ebony has been a life saver for my family and I! My dogs are getting old and cannot be left home alone for extended period of time without some love and a potty break. She comes to my house every day that I work and does just that. My dogs get excited and meet her at the door, knowing that they are going to get some attention and a well deserved walk around the block. She has even brought over another 4 legged friend for my pups to enjoy some time with! She is very trustworthy, respects your home and your animals, and I cannot recommend her enough.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was very young. I started exclusively taking care of our family dog, Lady when I was about 12. I wanted to be an animal trainer and thought she would be a perfect training dog. I taught her tons of tricks and we became inseparable. She was the first dog that I loved. I currently have two dogs. I have an elderly Powder Puff Chinese Crested (14) that is the best cuddler, and a Chihuahua mix (8) that is a sweetheart and also loves to cuddle. Both dogs like to be around and play with other dogs. I have a very flexible schedule, if you need a sitter at the last minute please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can also give medications, elder pet care, and am willing to take them to appointments when needed. I know that it is hard to leave a pet when traveling but rest assured your pet will be loved and snuggled. I also have a medium fenced in yard with lots of trees and plants to explore. The dogs are always supervised while outside. I also have a separate sleeping or care room for pets that prefer their own space. I work full time Monday-Friday with weekends free. Drop off times during the week are before 8:00 am or after 5:00 pm. Drop off times on the weekend are anytime. My routine for our animals is simple, they are fed before and after work. Potty Breaks are given twice in the morning and 3-4 times at night depending on how much they want to go outside. I also offer peepads and diapering if needed. I have an extra open top crate for dogs that require it and a separate room for those that need their own space. I have a medium fenced in yard with lots of plants to explore. Outdoor time is always supervised. My dogs love to play and snuggle with other dogs. They range from 8-14 years old.
About: Hello, I'm Chey! I am a lover of all pets, young and old, big and small. I grew up around dogs whether it be a family's pet, or volunteering at the humane society. I've always found it easy to get along with animals. I'm very active and love the outdoors, so I can treat your pet to a great time. We can go on walks, hikes, swimming, even spend a day at the park. I will be sure to give your pet the best care possible. I find time for dogs throughout my week. I routinely walk my parents and neighbors dogs. I also dog sit for some people monthly, it's a regular part of my routine. If I'm dog or cat sitting at your home, I will be extremely respectful and it will look the same as when you left. I used to oversee a couple of AirBnbs and know how stressful it can be with someone new in your house. I have been there too, and know to treat your space with the utmost respect.
“I had to go out of town on short notice and needed someone to take Lotus out in the morning for a walk and give her breakfast. I found Tina and she was awesome! She kept me informed and took great pictures and did a great job. I booked her for a 30 minute drop-in for two days and would definitely do it again. Thank you Tina.”

“Cyndy was fantastic! She gave all the cats attention and was very thorough in her notes everyday. I felt better knowing my fur babies were well taken care of while I was out of town for a few days.”

About: Like many others‚ I've been around animals my whole life, and while being a pet owner naturally teaches you about responsibility and how to take care of an animal, what really helped prepare me and build my confidence to provide reliable professional pet care was working in animal care facilities․ I began working as a kennel technician during my senior year of high school, where I was responsible for feeding animals, administering medications, cleaning kennels, and ensuring each pet received the attention and care they needed․ When I started college, I continued working seasonally during breaks, but eventually transitioned into a job that tailored my college needs. Throughout high school though, I continuously pet-sat for some family friends. I am currently a junior at Florida Tech․ I work as a customer service representative and animal care attendant at Dogspot Hotel․ The great thing about working at the Dogspot Hotel is that I get to interact with clients and their dogs‚ and provide the best service for each animal․ I am comfortable administering oral and injectable medications including insulin‚ as well as handling animals with a variety of medical conditions and behavioral issues․ A little extra about me, I have three dogs, three cats, and a Russian tortoise! When school starts up again in August‚ I will be a full-time college student at Florida Tech and working part-time․ My class schedule will be set‚ but my job is very flexible and I will be able to work around my class schedule․ Classes are scheduled mainly four days a week‚ with a mix of morning and afternoon availability. This gives me more flexibility to care for pets, including check-ins throughout the day, or overnight in the case of boarding․ I currently live in Melbourne‚ in the house that I rent with my roommates‚ and while my roommates have no problems with me having pets, our landlord has stated that they do not allow pets in the house. So any pet care would have to take place outside of my home.
“Illian was available for my last minute drop in for my cat and she was excellent! My cat can be very skiddish but she made sure to sit with her and try and get her to come out of hiding and play a bit. So glad she was available last minute”

“I was very nervous about leaving my blind 16 yo kitty with Chronic Kidney Disease. I canceled my last vacation 4 months ago because he was declining. Just prior to this very short trip, he had barely been eating. Isabella followed my special feeding instructions perfectly. I came home to a kitty who was very happy to see me and vice versa. Thank you Isabella!”

About: I've grown up with dogs and other animals almost my whole life! I've watched dogs for friends and family, and dogs of all sizes! I love each and every pet I meet, and have a beloved little dog of my own! I believe each and every pet has their own personality, and each deserve their own unique love, care, and quality time. From big, small, old and young, I will take care of your pet as if they were my very own! I am currently not employed in a work setting, but do work on my side business as a crocheter part time, so I will have plenty of time for your fur babies! My schedule is very flexible, so I can work with your schedule too! I have a partially fenced yard, with one small side not fenced, so taking dogs out on a leash is no problem for me! In home there are no breakable items within reach of any sized pet, and no harmful items within reach either. My super comfy couch and bed is pet friendly so your fur babies can rest their heads wherever they would like! If going for a walk, I live on a road that stretches almost a mile long with a sidewalk on both sides. If in the clients home, the house will be respected and any notes or rules will be followed (ex. House codes and gate codes, potty breaks outside, walks, any needs of the pet). If a pet needs medication, assistance or any other specific care, I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is healthy and happy!

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs but have been dog sitting for several years now. At home my family has two very high-energy dogs so I know what it takes to keep them occupied and exercised. We can have lots of play time if that’s what your dog enjoys or just hangout together around the house if that’s more their speed. You can guarantee on receiving updates and photos of your dog while away if all the fun things we are doing! We will do a long walk or run or playtime in the morning before it’s too hot out. Throughout the day we will have outside time and can do shorter walks or go on adventures together and in the evening another long walk or playtime! My schedule is super flexible. I follow your care instructions so the dog has the same rules and routines while you’re away. I want your dog to be comfortable and have fun while you’re away so you don’t have to worry.
“We had another perfect experience with Kristen! This is the second time Kristen has taken care of our kitty, and we’re so happy we found her because she makes it so easy and worry-free. She is always reliable, communicative, and so considerate!”

About: I have had animals since I could remember. Cats, dogs, hamsters, bunnies. I worked as a dog groomer for a year as well and learned a ton! I would love to care for your pets! I have a set schedule at my salon job. So my days off or anytime before or after my normal hours, I would be happy to attend to the care of any animals that need it. I work Wednesday 9-5. Thursday and Friday 1-8, and Saturday 11-6. Off Sunday Monday and Tuesday! I have a screened in porch, and lots of places to take any dogs on walks. I do have an extra bedroom if I needed to keep my two cats in there while boarding another animal for any reason.
“Michelle is absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of my babies. It brings such peace of mind knowing that my babies are being cared for so well while I am at work. Highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Melbourne
Mary went above and beyond to make sure Charlie (and our fish) were well taken care of during our trip. We never had to worry and she routinely stayed over the thirty minute time slot and gave him long walks to let him get his time outside in. He’s a bigger dog with some reactivity with small animals and she handled him with no issues at all and extreme care. From the pictures we got we could tell that Charlie really loved her! I highly recommend Mary for dog sitting!!

Wendy was a lifesaver! She stepped in on very short notice and took great care of our dogs, letting them out twice a day as needed. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about our pets. We really appreciated her flexibility and would absolutely trust her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Melbourne with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
