“Gail was excellent! She kept us posted and up to date routinely. We were happy to work with her. She was friendly and we could feel that she really loves dogs. It was our first time using Rover to find a dog sitter. We had a more peculiar situation with a larger size timid dog. It helped knowing she was okay with just sitting only our dog for a few days since it seemed other sitters sometimes sat multiple dogs at once. A sitter with a fenced in yard was something we wanted to have, since in case walking our timid dog potentially was a challenge, the fenced in yard was an alternative for him doing his business. He warmed up well enough though. She was local to us so we didn’t have to drive too far. It was awesome she accepted a bigger dog since some sitters don’t. She had competitive rates at the time of listing in comparison to other Rover sitters that we were looking at. Overall if needed we could see ourselves requesting future bookings again.”

About: We adopted our first pups in 2004 and cared for them for 18 pup-snuggled years. During that time, and since then, we have rescued, fostered and adopted animals of all kinds to include chickens, ducks and a pig named Kevin Bacon! Currently, we're home to Guinevere, the mild-mannered, 6 year-old rescued mutt. We do have an 11-year-old hooman "puppy" who is just as loving and respectful of animals as we are. We will love and care for your fur-babies as if they were our very own. We are home almost all day, every day, so your pet will never be alone. I homeschool our son, and my husband works from home. Your pet will have ample opportunities to play outside in our 1/2 acre back yard. Our neighborhood is very quiet with houses situated on ~acre lots. We have neighbors with dogs, but they usually just run over to the fence to say hello and then go about their business. In our home, your fur-babies can roam freely, and they will have access to our 1/2, partially shaded, completely fenced-in back yard as often as they need. If your dog is one who prefers walks, our peaceful neighborhood has lots of places to explore; there is a nice park 1/2 mile away where they can sniff around where all of the turtles and ducks like to hang out. Pups who stay with us overnight are welcome to stay in their crate (if that's what they prefer), anywhere in the house, and, likely, on one of our beds.

About: I had dogs growing up and they always brought so much joy. I have fostered animals mostly puppies and at one time I had 5 puppies that I was potty training. If your pet requires medication via needle or pill, I am comfortable with either. I work from home and I am flexible in taking care of your pet. Whether it is a walk, daily feeding or sleep over I am home most of the time. If your fur baby is staying the night, we will discuss specific needs, such as feeding time, treats, walks, etc. if I am walking your fur baby, is there a specific area or length of walk you prefer. I have had previous experience sitting pets with special needs. Puppies/kittens, senior and anything in between are always welcome. My backyard is huge, fenced and sprayed for fleas and ticks regularly. I only give animals I watch filtered water and follow directions on what you want and when to feed them. That way your pet feels at home. I can make my schedule around yours. Anytime that is best for my customers, is best for me! I don’t even mind if it’s last minute or 1AM, I tailor to you! If you want you can leave something with your scent on it to help with separation anxiety. I play calm relaxing music for them through out the day, and also ‘Animal Planet’ if they like TV. If they feel up to it, we can even go to the nearest dog park if dog Mom or Dad approves of course. I have a fenced yard, gates, crates or beds so your pets are comfortable. I have a first aid kit and Vet nearby in case of any emergencies. I can provide for your dog’s true happiness with lots of hugs and love. They are allowed on the furniture, if that’s what they’re used to, I don’t mind as I put on couch covers. I just want them to feel at ease and comfortable while their parents are away. I also send pictures and updates on how they are adapting and adjusting.

I have extensive experience training and caring for dogs, including a 16-year-old yellow Labrador retriever who sadly passed away in February 2023. “We had a great introduction and walk. Our dog is afraid of new people, but with proper introduction (and the right treats) he warms up well. For this first walk we where present the whole time to make sure our dog’s comfort and confidence would open up. We wanted to find a Rover person who in future we could possibly board with. So we needed him to be happy and relaxed with the new Rover person. At first our dog was nervous and wary, which historically he usually is with new people. But after a bit time and space, yummy treats, and remaning a comfortable walking distance apart from Joshua, his curiousity grew enough where he was willing to approach. Josh got down to his level and which allowed our dog to approach Josh on his own will. When that moment happened we rewarded his curiousity with lots of praise and yummy treats. From then on we walked side by side with Joshua, and our dog warmed up enough where he was frequently looking back anticipating more pets and treats from Joshua during the walk. Joshua also asked us great questions about our dog and his history, to figure out how to best work with him. In the end our dog was so happy when Joshua said “good bye Stitch,” he actually did one last hop-skip towards Josh even though we were getting ready to go to our car the opposite direction away. We have much gratitude for the opportunity to work with Joshua to socialize him more. We are planning on booking in the future for some types of walks too and would be willing to board if needed.”

Over the years, we’ve shared our home with animals of all ages — from playful puppies to wise senior dogs who lived happy, healthy lives well into their late teens (some as old as 19!). About: I've grown up with dogs and other animals almost my whole life! I've watched dogs for friends and family, and dogs of all sizes! I love each and every pet I meet, and have a beloved little dog of my own! I believe each and every pet has their own personality, and each deserve their own unique love, care, and quality time. From big, small, old and young, I will take care of your pet as if they were my very own! I am currently not employed in a work setting, but do work on my side business as a crocheter part time, so I will have plenty of time for your fur babies! My schedule is very flexible, so I can work with your schedule too! I have a partially fenced yard, with one small side not fenced, so taking dogs out on a leash is no problem for me! In home there are no breakable items within reach of any sized pet, and no harmful items within reach either. My super comfy couch and bed is pet friendly so your fur babies can rest their heads wherever they would like! If going for a walk, I live on a road that stretches almost a mile long with a sidewalk on both sides. If in the clients home, the house will be respected and any notes or rules will be followed (ex. House codes and gate codes, potty breaks outside, walks, any needs of the pet). If a pet needs medication, assistance or any other specific care, I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is healthy and happy!

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I not only cared for them but they cared for me just as much. I also worked at a doggy daycare where I learned a lot about all breeds and how to care for them, from training and grooming to simply loving them and all their slobber. I currently work full-time at a gas station, but my schedule fluctuates weekly. I work nights and one weekday, and I always have free time during the day. I miss spending time with my furry friends. Animals aren’t just pets; they’re our family, and I intend to care for them as such. I make sure they’re always hydrated and fed. I also always have their leashes, harnesses, and seat belt clips ready for walks. I check that the clasps work and the buckles are strong.

“Gail was excellent! She kept us posted and up to date routinely. We were happy to work with her. She was friendly and we could feel that she really loves dogs. It was our first time using Rover to find a dog sitter. We had a more peculiar situation with a larger size timid dog. It helped knowing she was okay with just sitting only our dog for a few days since it seemed other sitters sometimes sat multiple dogs at once. A sitter with a fenced in yard was something we wanted to have, since in case walking our timid dog potentially was a challenge, the fenced in yard was an alternative for him doing his business. He warmed up well enough though. She was local to us so we didn’t have to drive too far. It was awesome she accepted a bigger dog since some sitters don’t. She had competitive rates at the time of listing in comparison to other Rover sitters that we were looking at. Overall if needed we could see ourselves requesting future bookings again.”
