“Greg was such a great sitter for our dog Vera. He was incredibly detailed and communicative, left our place spotless. Most importantly he was a very thoughtful and attentive friend to Vera who can often be quite anxious. She seemed to really enjoy his company and received many cuddles. Thank you Greg!”

“Caroline is so great and our dog loves her! She watched our bulldog while we were out of town for over a week and came back to a clean house and happy dog once again. Caroline is our go to sitter!”

“Dave dog sat for us and he was incredibly attentive and wonderful with our dogs, they loved him! He left our house just as clean if not better after he left. We are usually nervous to use someone new, but will 1000% use Dave to dog sit again!”

“Alexandra was amazing! On a longer stay at our home, with not a lot of notice, she took excellent care of our two pups. She's obviously very comfortable with dogs, and it's clear she loves being around them. She was very communicative during her stay, and we will be using her again in the future if needed. Thanks, Alexandra!”

“Jennifer did a fantastic job looking after our 2 dogs for a few days. She took excellent care of them and was very communicative, sending us lots of updates and photos throughout her stay. And she went the extra mile to keep our home tidy during her stay. We are thrilled to have found her and will definitely book her again.”
“Desiree is a thoughtful and conscientious sitter. She stayed over and cared for my older cat and emo dog. She sent regular updates which gave me confidence while I was gone. Five stars. Highly recommend.”

“Megan was wonderful with my dog! She was very communicative, timely, and took great care of my guy who is recovering from a back injury. Highly recommend her!”

“Kachi did an amazing job housesitting and caring for my girl Harley while I was away! She paid attention to the detailed notes I provided and communicated updates frequently. I appreciated this greatly as Harley is a senior dog who requires medication daily, and Kachi did a great job keeping her on her routine. I came home to a happy and healthy dog!”

About: I grew up never having a pet before then one day in college my roommate got a puppy! I’ve taken care of her boxer-pug mix from 12 weeks to 2 years old. It was a journey in the beginning, but I learned so many valuable skills that allow me to be confident in caring for more dogs in the future. I currently work hybrid in NYC. Working from home 2 days a week. I’m also always available on weekends for any service you might need for your dog. I don’t currently have pets in my home. I can provide anything your dog might need as well my undivided attention for their entire stay with me
“Janelle has been watching our dogs on-and-off for many years. She is so great with them, and they are not easy dogs. She is also super responsible and communicative; we trust Janelle to handle anything that comes up with the dogs or the house.”

“We had an absolutely amazing first experience with Frannie and Emerald. They cared for our home and three pets (one young dog and two very opinionated cats) for 3 nights, and not only did they follow our instructions perfectly and send the most wonderful pics, they also left the house cleaner than we left it. We are so so so grateful to have them in Brooklyn and our pets are as well : ) A+ perfect experience”

“It was my first time using Rover for my cat and Jaidi was phenomenal! She was super communicative the whole time, sent a bunch of photos, and it was clear that my cat adored her and was so well taken care of. I came home to a spotless apartment and a very happy cat. I’ll definitely be using her for any future pet sitting needs.”

“Amanda took great care of my dog while I was out of town. She was always prompt in responding to messages and sent pictures of my dog and updates to let me know how she was doing.”

“Fernando did a great job house-sitting with our senior dog and cat with asthma, who needs puffs from an AeroKat inhaler twice a day. He was on time and left our apartment in an immaculate state. Thanks Fernando!”

“Natalie is a repeat house and cat sitter for us—she's reliable, a great communicator, and our temperamental cat, Cal is always comfortable with her. Will book again!”

“Jana was absolutely amazing! Everything we could have asked for in a pet sitter! Super communicative and sent lots of photos and videos. Will absolutely be reaching out for support in the future :)”

About: I've been walking, sitting, and watching dogs for about 10 years now. Started out helping neighbors and friends with their dogs and it kind of snowballed from there. Since then I've done pretty much everything: daily walks, quick drop-ins when someone's stuck at work, overnight stays, dogs staying with me for a few days at a time. The big thing for me is that I work remotely, so I'm home most of the day. That means I'm not cramming a walk in before rushing off somewhere, and I can usually be flexible with last-minute drop-ins or schedule changes. Dogs in my care get real attention, not just a quick in-and-out. I've spent a lot of time with puppies, so I'm used to the extra patience that takes. Reinforcing potty training, redirecting chewing, keeping them from bouncing off the walls. I've also cared for older dogs who move slower, might be on medication, or just need someone paying closer attention day to day. When dogs stay at my place, I treat it like they're hanging out at a second home, not being "watched." I always send photos and updates so people aren't left wondering how things are going. What sets me apart is just consistency. 10 years, lots of different dogs, lots of different situations. Since I work remotely, dog care fits in pretty seamlessly throughout my day rather than being squeezed into a couple set windows. I can step away for a walk whenever it's needed, whether that's one walk a day or four or five spread out for a puppy or a dog with a medical need. I'm not tied to a desk or an office schedule, so if a dog needs a midday potty break, an extra walk because of weather, or just more frequent outside time, that's easy for me to make happen. On weekends it's even more flexible since I don't have any work commitments at all. Basically, however many walks or check-ins a dog needs on a given day, I can build my schedule around that instead of the other way around. Here's the updated version with that detail worked in: In my home: When a dog stays with me, they get free run of the space, and there's plenty of it. We're a 3-floor home with a backyard, so dogs aren't cooped up in one room all day. If owners are comfortable with yard access, that's available too, otherwise I'll stick to walks only, whatever the owner prefers. I keep a consistent routine with feeding, walks, and bathroom breaks, and there's plenty of downtime as well, whether that's cuddling on the couch or just hanging out nearby while I work. If there are multiple dogs, I keep an eye on how they're getting along so everyone's comfortable. I also dog-proof anything that needs it ahead of time, like putting away food, trash, or anything chewable. In a client's home: For drop-ins or walks at someone's place, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible. Same feeding times, same walking route if they have one, same rules around furniture or crating. I treat the home with respect, lock up when I leave, and make sure the dog has water, has gone to the bathroom, and is settled before I go. For longer stays in a client's home, I keep things running the way the owner normally would rather than doing things my way.
“Lisseth was an amazing in-house sitter for my dog Cooper! She was attentive & communicative. She took great care of my senior Puggle and left my place just the way it was when she arrived. Sent videos and photos often and without being ask. Would book again and highly recommend.”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Avary. From the second we connected until we parted ways, Avary stood out as exemplary. Communication was beyond what could be expected, and the thoughtfulness, care, consideration, respect… are just a few words that now come to mind thinking about this experience. I’ve never met anyone — especially through Rover — who had seemingly gone above and beyond to match an existing routine. The true tell was that my dog was willing to take Avary on our USUAL hour-long night walk; something he highly protects. It was so clear that he was completely comfortable after less than a day and was happy to be able to stick to his pretty standard routine because of how well Avary learned and stuck to it too. Would 100% ask back again (and will)!!!”

Alexandra was great in every way! Harper, my 10 year old lab mix, is super anxious, afraid of fireworks, thunder and meeting new people. Alexandra came to meet her several times before staying here which was a huge help. She is kind and patient and left everything spotless. I couldn't be more pleased and will definitely ask her to sit again!

Blair was truly wonderful! She followed all of the care instructions, took incredible care of my pup, and sent a lot of updates and images/videos while my dog was in her care. I'd definitely recommend her to fellow pet parents and will be using in the future.

Zianne was wonderful! My sitter fell through last-minute for a long weekend wedding trip that I couldn’t miss. She was so patient, calm, and kind with my anxious 12 yr old pup. He has several medical issues and needs medications administered across several different timelines and Zianne was not phased by this at all! She sent frequent updates and even slept with Boot on her couch because her bed was too tall for him, and he doesn’t like to sleep alone. Zianne will now be one of my go-to sitters :)

Vibe check passed immediately 🐶 Adriana is thoughtful, present and exceeded expectations. Within 15 mins after entrusting her with our dog, she sent photo updates. She even did her own dishes (even though she could have used dishwasher). When we got back home, we could tell our dog was relaxed and happy with Adriana - highly recommend and we will def be asking her to sit for us again

Onyekachi looked after my very senior, and sprightly cat for 2.5 weeks and I can’t recommend her care enough. When she first came to meet the pets she took copious notes on their care and was so patient and caring during her stay in my home with my pup who needs medication, and was having an upset tummy. Everyday I received a really thorough update and pictures of the both of them and I felt so confident and comfortable leaving them in her care. I truly appreciate her patience and kindness with my little cuties and anyone would be so lucky to have her tending to their pets. Would be thrilled to have her back looking after them and your pets would be in such good hands with Kachi.

Highly recommend Janelle!! She is wonderful with cats. My cat immediately warmed up to her. Janelle takes time to relieve their stress, play, etc. She was super attentive to my cat’s medical needs, which included administering an inhaler for asthma, probiotics, and an oral medicine. By the end of her stay, my cat trusted Janelle so much that she let her give her medicine without any struggle. And she’s excellent at communicating - she asks the right questions and sent me multiple pictures and videos every day! It really put me at ease while I was traveling.

Meka was an all-star! She stepped in for a last minute sit and took great care of our pup. Her communication was perfect and she kept us abreast of everything Remy was doing and sent lots of cute photos. She left the house in great condition and our dog loved hangout with her.

Highly recommend! Desiree was so responsive and communicative throughout the entire stay, and we felt totally comfortable knowing our dogs were in great hands. They absolutely loved having her there and seemed so happy and relaxed when we got home. We’d definitely book with her again!

Jennifer stayed over our apartment to keep our cat Brisket company while we were on vacation for the week. She sent photos everyday and the apartment was immaculate when we got back! She even turned our cat cam on (which I totally forgot to mention) so we were able to watch him before we arrived back in NYC. All food, treat, litter notes were followed too :)

Zoe was amazing with Hazel! Hazel had to wear a cone the whole visit from a recent infection and Zoe took amazing care of her! Hazel can be timid at first and Zoe was patient and Hazel warmed up to her very fast because of Zoe’s calming behavior and expert knowledge of how to deal with anxious pups. By the end of the stay they were best friends. Would recommend Zoe to anyone and everyone.

jaidi has a soothing and calming demeanor that meshed really well with our three cats, two of whom can be a little anxious and sensitive. two of our cats were currently being separated for some behavioral training, meaning there would need to be a little extra care and attention paid to them. she made sure the cats were swapped between the bedroom and living room to avoid feeling trapped in a small space for too long. bobbie can take a while to warm up to new people, but she seemed to take to jaidi rather quickly. towards the end of her stay, bobbie climbed onto her back which she only does with my partner (bobbie was originally adopted by my partner before we moved in together) and rarely with me. bobbie even went up on a vertical hammock for the first time since we installed it about 2 weeks ago. throughout our vacation, we got the cutest and most precious photo updates that made me feel like they were in the best hands and we had absolutely nothing to worry about. all to say, she worked her magic with our cats and they seemed to have a good time together. we will definitely be going to jaidi for all our future catsitting needs <3

Celine was excellent! She stayed in our home for 5 days with our dog and cat, and was very thorough with their care, asked lots of good questions to make sure she was prepared and then sent us updates throughout each day. She went above and beyond to clean the space before heading out as well which was appreciated. We would absolutely work with her again!
