“We have used so many dog sitters over the last ten years in the various places we’ve lived, and none of them have had to deal with even half the things Mary had to manage during her few days staying with Pax. In the very first day after we left, Pax was experiencing lots of GI symptoms which led to a lot of cleaning up after him. He also threw up his medications, leading to him having seizures. Mary was so communicative, patient, and calm throughout all of it. Last but not least, she also alerted us right away when our upstairs neighbors hit a pipe, causing a flood in our apartment. She helped to move things around in our apartment, tried to do what she could to protect our things, and was able to wait with Pax while we figured out other arrangements. Mary is truly an angel and we are so thankful she was there with Pax through all of that. We only hope that the experience didn’t scar her for life and we’ll be able to see her again!”

About: Hi all, my name is Alina and I’m new to Rover :). I have been a reliable dog/cat sitter for family, friends, and co-workers for a few years. I am a respectful, friendly, animal-loving soul that is free all summer to care for pets and make them feel safe and happy! I am starting medical school in the fall so I am excited to get some time with furry friends this summer. I love getting animals outside for walks and playtime. I am happy to work with pets of all ages. I am starting medical school at UW-Madison in the fall so I am not working any particular job this summer other than pet-sitting. With this, my schedule is very flexible and I’m available just about any day of the week/weekends except a few select dates. I’m happy to work early mornings and late nights too if needed. At my client’s home, I care for pets by following their feeding routine, brushing their fur, and incorporating lots of playtime and exercise. While I haven’t been previously asked, I would also be happy to bathe pets if requested!

I walk my friend’s dog often and he’s a doggie with a whole bunch of energy. I have some extra time on my hands in between jobs and would love to help out where I can! I currently have an apartment with an no-pet policy, but I am open for pop-by to see your furry friend. About: I have always loved animals. I was the kid that would bring stray animals home asking my parents if I could keep them. I have always had dogs in my family homes. I graduated from Iowa State University with an Animal Science degree in May of 2016. I have dog sat for other families in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. I honestly love dog sitting and I have even taken care of some turtles and tortoises. I don’t really think of pet sitting as a job, but rather an opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for your family pets while you are on vacation or if you have other obligations.
