“Mary was great with the dogs, very detailed in her notes and left the house like she wasn't even here. She obviously has lots of experience with dogs as well based on the questions and details which I appreciate.”

“I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Elizabeth. She was so diligent about following Gus's routine, so great about keeping us updated on how things were going, and above all SO kind and understanding of our pups needs as a spicy/reactive dog. She left me completely at ease and able to relax on our trip. I am so glad we've found her and that our baby has someone he will not just be comfortable with, but excited to spend time with while we are gone!”

About: I have had pets my entire life. I know how to care for their unique needs and help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I have availability in the evenings and weekends, along with work from home Wed/Thurs/Fri. I'm usually able to make plenty of time to be present with your pet. There's a park across the street from me for time outside and I enjoy active, long walks for energetic dogs. Plenty of dog parks nearby and trails. Home space can be accommodated for pet
“Cassie was wonderful! We had no worries, as we were gone for 11 days. She stayed at our home, so it didn’t stress out our dog, Zoe. Cassie was very proactive with asking detailed questions about her and just genuinely concerned about all her needs. She even suggested coming over for some visits prior to our vacation, so Zoe could get use to her. Highly recommend!!?”
“Shatoria was a joy to have in our home, so much so that our dogs did not even care when we came back after nearly two weeks away, and ran right upstairs to her room to look for her. Excellent communication and attention to detail, and I am almost certain our home was cleaner when she left than when she arrived. Easily the best pet care experience we’ve had. Booking again ASAP.”

“Jessica was wonderful! She went out of her way to make my dog comfortable! Her communication was outstanding, she really went above and beyond. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her and would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“We could not be happier with the care Samantha provided Harley while we were out of town for a couple of nights. Our dog was under the weather and Samantha graciously handled medication and extra trips outside. She was very communicative and shared helpful updates. I highly recommend her for in home overnight care.”

About: I have had all sorts of animals my whole life and worked at a vet clinic for a year! My very first animal was a Pygmy goat! I currently have a pug and chihuahua/jack Russel! I have worked with all ages, can teach tricks with puppies, or cuddle all day with the seniors. We have a fenced area in the backyard with a doggy door, so fur babies can go out whenever! We also have a crate and take daily walks! I have a fenced yard with a doggy door that is very secure. I also have a dog cam set up if we ever step out! There is always myself or my bf home, and my two fur babies are friendly and (lazy), they have been around dogs and cats their whole life! We have a crate if that’s needed!

About: I am an aspiring vet student who has 10 plus years of experience with cats and dogs both owning and sitting for. I have medical knowledge that other sitters may not have as I work at an ER for pets as a nurse! I am extremely flexible with my time and availability and will ensure that your pet gets the well-deserved love and care they need! As a bonus, I can offer nail trims, sanitary shaves, and ear cleanings during their stay if requested! I'm currently working part time night-shift, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pets! I make my own schedule during the day, so I can easily work around your pet's needs. I have a dog and cat myself at my apartment that are well socialized to be around other dogs. I can accommodate up to two dogs in my apartment if needed and can also go to your home if preferred. For cats, I find it best to go to them. I do not have a yard, but my apartment complex is pet friendly with a play area and lots of walking trails nearby.
About: I am a seasoned vet assistant, actively working towards my technician license. Fear free and pet CPR certified (BLS and ALS), as well as dog obedience and groomer certified. I am experienced with administering injectable, transdermal, and oral medications. I have been working with animals for over 10 years, and have been in the veterinary setting for 5. I have experience with fearful, reactive, fractious, and friendly animals. I am knowledgeable on the care/support of neonate and geriatric dogs, cats, reptiles, and pocket pets. I have a pet sitting service called RamBam’s Kritter Kare. I will ask for permission to post pets to promote my services. You can absolutely say no. Feel free to reach out on Facebook or Instagram with inquiries as well! I work overnight, so I will have time to care for your animals in the morning and in the evening. Depending on my work schedule, I may be able to accept afternoon appointments, but reach out to me personally to see my availability. I can do house visits and go for walks up to three times a day. My schedule is usually pretty open, so I can take time to get to know your pet, so we can build trust for future visits.
“Renee was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! So accommodating, GREAT communication and just a really great person to work with. You know your dog is getting 100% attention and love when you come home and they're completely worn out. At an energetic year old, Asha NEVER gets worn out from playing...that is until she met her match in Renee! This was out first time using Rover and it was last minute and I had my concerns just because we had to trust this person in our home for the first time without ever meeting her. Every concern was gone as soon as I met Renee! I can't recommend her highly enough! She's amazing!!!”

“Tatyana is great with our dog. She was very understanding to a last minute change. Communication is great! Sent pictures and updates after her visits. Highly recommend.”

“I absolutely adore Samantha! I went on vacation for 6 days and felt at ease knowing she was here with all my babies taking good care of them. I received pictures and messages daily letting me know how things were going. She also wasn't afraid to ask me questions which was amazing! I came home to happy animals. If you want a stress free vacation, book with Samantha! Thanks again for everything :)”

“Once again, Pam is the best sitter we could ask for. She is so kind, patient, and understanding of our shy rescue, providing him with love and care while respecting his boundaries. She is wonderfully communicative and we were able to enjoy our trip fully knowing our pup was in good hands.”

“Audrey was so fantastic with our cat and dog! Would definitely have her back again. She was communicative and took great care of them both. Our dog ended up having a surgery before we left which meant some additional care for him during the time we were away and Audrey handled that perfectly. Our cat decided to give her the slip on the last day and ran outside. Audrey made an extra trip back to our house later in the day and enticed her back into the house with some treats and wet food which was so appreciated. Thank you!!”

Pam was, as always, absolutely perfect with our pup. She is so patient with his quirks, takes him on frequent, long walks, and is super communicative. She even left the TV on to soothe him after heading out 🥹 Pam went above and beyond and went back to let Ted out hours after the original booking ended because our flight was delayed. She is the reason we are able to travel with peace of mind!

Krista did a great job dog/house sitting for me while I was out of town. Super responsive and sent daily pictures. Even did a few extra things for me that came up unexpectedly. My dog was happy and her normal self when we returned. Would 100% book with her again!

Jess did an amazing job watching our two black labs while staying at our house. She was incredibly responsive throughout the entire booking, keeping us updated and giving us complete peace of mind. Not only were our dogs happy and well-cared for, but Jess also left our house absolutely spotless when she left. We highly recommend her and will definitely book her again!
Kirsten was AWESOME! She did a fantastic job! Our Maizey loved her and was so comfortable with her. Plus she was very communicative so we felt we could talk to her at any time. She was also great about sending us info every day, sometimes multiple times/day, as well as great photos and videos. I would highly recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Token Creek walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Token Creek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Token Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
