Although I do not have my own when I am house sitting I make sure to schedule my personal life around the pets I am watching. When pet sitting the pets I am watching are my number one priority. My work schedule during the week I typical work 8-9 hours a day and on the weekends I work I typically work 10-11 hours days. Even with working if the pet requires walks I will make sure they are getting the exercise they need before and after work regardless of the time.

I am a very trustworthy pet sitter I have clients that are okay with friends or significant others coming over and I have others who are not, either way I fully respect that clients choice. I always make sure to clean up after myself and make sure the house is clean before leaving. When it comes to the animal I will not push the animal to do anything it does not want to do like going for a car ride, or anything else that may make the pet nervous. I do like to meet the animal and pet parents before hand just to make sure we have a good connection and trust.

If the pet has any medications, dislike or like other animals, dislike children or big groups of people for walk purposes. Any kind of allergies they may have to treat or human food.
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs on walks, depending on how they are on walks I like to take them down town traverse city, the bay, or around the old state hospital. If it’s a dog that just enjoys being outdoors I’ll sit outside and relax and let them run around or play fetch with them if they enjoy that too! I know lots of trails in traverse city for walks and beaches if they enjoy swimming.

Pet care experience
I have taken care of multiple different breeds of dogs! Small, medium and large! I also have experience with farm animals as well horses, cattle, goats etc. I’ve also had house with combinations of dogs, cats and horses. I’ve also had experience with epileptic dogs as well and having to give medication to pets as well.

Kirsten was AWESOME! She did a fantastic job! Our Maizey loved her and was so comfortable with her. Plus she was very communicative so we felt we could talk to her at any time. She was also great about sending us info every day, sometimes multiple times/day, as well as great photos and videos. I would highly recommend her!

We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Kirsten watched our cat for 11 days, providing both drop-in visits and overnight care, and went truly above and beyond. She spent lots of time with him, played with him often, and kept us updated with frequent messages, pictures, and videos — which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our cat looked completely comfortable and happy in her care, which says a lot! She was always quick to respond and so easy to communicate with. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive pet sitter.
I can't say enough good things about Kirsten. My dogs loved her IMMEDIATELY. But before we even met her, she was kind and communicative in our messages. She continued that trend when I was on my trip, with daily messages and pictures of my girls. She took excellent care of my dogs, both of whom take daily meds. They got daily walks and lots of snuggles. Plus - Kirsten helped me out at late notice when I was having a hard time finding a sitter. My house was clean and tidy when I returned too! She's awesome, and I highly recommend her.
