Pet care experience

All of neighbors pets know me :)

I think something, I can proudly say is that I have people meet me once and trust me to watch their pets. I’ve had pets and I have taken care of friends and families pets since I was 12. Truly bonding with my pets was the highlight of my childhood, an experience that I know not every child is fortunate to have. I’ve seen my dog from puppyhood to his frosty senior days. The care is different of course, diets and lifestyle routine slow down and more careful attention is needed. Love is another key, all animals are deserving of being treated with respect and kindness. That includes the animals in the forest, since I work outdoors I see a lot of birds and critters and each one’s life is valued and admired. Like my job, the environment of the pet is important. Keeping the food and water bowl clean, is something I find some families neglect but I find that to be a little disheartening as you would not like to drink out a dirty water glass Services offered * 30 Minute Dog Walks include a fun stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pup the exercise fresh air, and mental stimulation they need during the day * 30 Minute Drop-Ins include potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and of course plenty of snuggles to keep your pet happy and comfortable while you're away * Basic House-Siting include staying overnight with your pup so they have company and comfort in their own home, along with daytime care every 4-6 hours for potty breaks, meals, playtime, and cuddles

House Sitting • Aug 24, 2026

I don’t know how to adequately express how grateful we are that we hired Stella. If you want the short version without the saga: Stella is THEE best dog sitter EVER. I will hire her again and again!! Smudge loved her immediately at our meet and greet, and we felt completely comfortable leaving him with her. Then, just before our trip, Smudge had X-rays on his leg and became very sick afterward. We were worried sick. I had Stella come over a second time so I could walk her through the probiotics and instructions from our vet, hoping he would be back to himself in a few days. We had to leave the next day. What happened after we left was something none of us could have imagined, and I cannot imagine what we would have done if Stella hadn’t been the person caring for him. She tried everything to get Smudge to eat and kept us regularly updated on how he was doing. When she became concerned that he wasn’t improving, she proactively told us she thought he needed to go to the emergency vet. She packed his bed into her car so he’d be comfortable and took him. When the first treatment of fluids and anti-nausea medication didn’t work, she took him back to the ER, where he ultimately had to be hospitalized. Stella took a day off work to care for him. When Smudge came home, she dealt with vomit and accidents, did laundry, cleaned up after him and continued caring for him through all of it. She never once complained or made us feel like any of this was an inconvenience. And after Smudge finally started getting better, Stella herself got sick. She cared for our boy as though he were her own dog. She advocated for him when he needed more care, and I truly believe she saved his life. You would be crazy not to hire this amazing human to care for your pets. Stella is 100% part of our family now. If she ever needs anything from us, I hope she knows she can ask. We will never forget what she did for Smudge, and we will be forever grateful to her.

We have used Stella J. on several occasions to dog sit in our home, walk our dog and take him to the dog park. She does a fantastic job, is very responsible and is so loving to Kobe. She has a lot of experience caring for animals and is an all around caring, loving, honest and loyal person. You can count on Stella J. To provide top notch care for your dog. I would highly recommend her.

As Stella’s brother, I can confidently say that she is one of the most caring and responsible people you could trust with your pets. I’ve personally had her watch my cats, who have strict dietary requirements and need a lot of attention. She always followed their feeding schedule exactly, kept everything clean, and made sure they were comfortable and well cared for. What stands out most is how excited my cats are whenever they see her. Animals are great judges of character, and the bond they’ve built with Stella shows just how well she treats them. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up after them, or simply giving them the attention they need, Stella goes above and beyond. If you’re looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about animals, I would highly recommend Stella to care for your pets. You can have peace of mind knowing they’ll be treated like family

Safety, trust & environment

Truly, the most important aspect of pet care is the establishing the safety and security of your pet. The initial meeting with your pet, getting familiar and making sure the pet feels like they can trust their caretaker is crucial. That establish trust between caretaker and pet, allows me to ensure the best case scenario for your pet. Whether it be, trusting you on a walk or worse case scenario luring your pet from under the bed or loosing the lead for a second. I offer comfort of house sitting or walking your pet to ensure their routine is uninterrupted. :)

Pets

A typical day

I would love to play fetch or take them swimming during the summer. I work outdoors all day and would love to take them through the ice age trails that we work so hard to maintain safe for our pups and the community. Hikes and walks throughout Wisconsin, will stimulate all of their senses! However, attention and love of any sort is their favorite activity!

Let me know if there any abnormal allergies, or any behavioral issues that might prevent us from visiting certain areas such as the dog park or certain nature sites. Or if driving isn’t the best accommodation for your pet, my first dog got super car sick and anxious and threw up a bunch.
