I have had cats my whole adult life and fell in love with dogs while spending time with my siblings' dogs. I am now a fully converted dog lover who hopes to get my face licked by every passing puppy. Down-to-earth Midwest woman with lots of common sense. I was a homeowner for almost 25 years. I am not one of those people who looks at my phone constantly so your pet will get my attention, not just my presence. On long walks I may listen to a book on tape or podcast with only one ear bud so I am always situationally aware. No substance use or bad habits other than knitting and chocolate. In speaking with her prior to the visit and her care during the housesit, as well as all the pictures and videos we received while we were away, Christina was the perfect person to take care of our fur babies. I am available for day-time visits, or overnight care. Digital nomad so I am around a lot during the day, with a flexible schedule so I can meet your pet's needs first. I will keep tabs on them, put reminders for scheduled events on my phone, and check in with them frequently outside of scheduled care, and will contact the pet owner with any and all questions. I'm good at reading their cues, love to snuggle and play, I'm happy to have them sleep with me if they prefer. I'm strict about following owner's rules and instructions. I prefer to learn a little bit about your pet's personality, quirks, likes and dislikes to provide better care--and so I can tell quickly if something is a bit off. I will communicate with you as much or little as you like, happy to send pictures. I like to be able to ask questions to make sure that I understand your pet and its needs as well as your house and its needs.

About: I’m all of my friends and families first choice to watch their pets when they are out of town. I’ve looked after a variety of breeds of dogs and many cats as well. I’ve always had dogs in my life growing up so I’m very familiar with reading their body language and knowing how to care for them. I work full time but have a lot of flexibility to check on your pet throughout the day and have the opportunity to work remote as well I’ve never a met a pet that didn’t like me. Keely has been walking my dog Lola every Wednesday for the past couple of weeks, and I truly could not be happier with the care she's provided. I booked with very little notice, reaching out on a Monday, and Keely came over the very next day to meet Lola, learn our routine, and get to know her needs. From the start, I could tell she was thoughtful, thorough, and genuinely invested in making sure Lola felt comfortable and safe. Lola is a reactive dog, and having someone who understands reactive dogs is incredibly important to me. Keely clearly has that experience and confidence. She pays attention to every detail, thinks ahead, and has approached each walk with care and awareness. I feel completely at ease knowing Lola is in her hands. What has impressed me even more is how thoughtful Keely is about factors beyond just the walk itself. We've had plenty of rainy weather lately, and she's done an amazing job timing walks to avoid the worst of it. She's also been mindful of potential thunderstorms and how Lola might react, which shows just how much she cares about the dogs she works with. Keely has been an absolute pleasure to work with - reliable, communicative, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I'm so grateful to have found her, and I know Lola is too. We've used a few Rover walkers. Jen D is in a different league. She's on time through a Madison winter, sends the best photo updates, and actually notes Gertrude's weird butt tornadoes. What stands out is she genuinely likes dogs, not just the walk. She learned Gertrude's routine in one visit, brings her favorite octopus toy, and texts a quick recap every time: how far they went and whether Gertrude did anything she shouldn't.
Emily is fantastic! Our dog can get nervous around new people, so she took the time out of her day to visit before we even had walks scheduled to say “hi” to our dog and get him comfortable before she took him for midday walks. Punctual, flexible (we added a day on at the last minute when travel plans went awry), and clearly a great fit with our dog.
Lora was reliable and really gave extra. She came out before hand to learn the dogs and their routes. I am currently disabled and she was so helpful bringing in packages. She took each dog on extra laps if they failed to do their business the first round. We will not hesitate to call Lora the next time we need someone.
Noelle walked our pup for 4 months and we have been so lucky to have her. She is so caring, flexible, respectful, and trustworthy. Due to schedule changes, we won’t have the fortune of working with Noelle anymore, but anyone who does choose to book with her will be so lucky!
