“Cassie was wonderful! We had no worries, as we were gone for 11 days. She stayed at our home, so it didn’t stress out our dog, Zoe. Cassie was very proactive with asking detailed questions about her and just genuinely concerned about all her needs. She even suggested coming over for some visits prior to our vacation, so Zoe could get use to her. Highly recommend!!?”
“Ann was so great! Haze LOVES her. She accommodated to Hazel’s separation anxiety and other quirks so well and sent plenty of updates and pictures. My flight was delayed and Ann was able to stay an extra night, we really appreciate her flexibility!”

“Allegra was AMAZING at pet sitting our dog and cat while we were gone for 5 nights. She sent updates and phots as often and was great at communicating. We returned to happy and healthy pets. I felt very confident leaving my somewhat high needs cat with her. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your fur babies. I currently have my sweet girl Nova at home and am comfortable with pets of different temperaments and needs. I strive to create a safe, stress free experience while keeping owners updated with lots of photos and messages. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, medication, or just a consistent routine, I’ll make sure they receive attentive care. I’m currently a SAHM with a very flexible schedule, allowing me to provide reliable care and accommodate a variety of pet care needs throughout the day. Your pets are treated like family! I have 1 cat in my home currently that is okay with dogs that visit. I maintain a clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment and carefully supervise interactions at all times.
“Shatoria was great. She engaged my two pups quite a bit. I received lots of photos of happy dogs, some cuddling with her - a good sign! The house was in excellent order, just as I left it. I plan to invite her to house/dog sit again. Thanks Shatoria!”

“We were a little anxious leaving our girl with "a stranger" for the first time since she adopted us. Tina made the experience so much easier. She was calm and patient and kept us informed while we were away about how our girl was doing. Our house was kept clean and nothing was out of place. We will use Tina's comforting services again!”

“Zachary did a fantastic job taking care of our older pup and very social cat. Our dog always has accidents when we leave town but this time it escalated to diarrhea. Zachary kept us in the loop and updated every step of the way, he carpet cleaned many accidents, followed all our instructions and made us feel much less nervous about leaving our old gal. Videos and pictures thrilled our toddler too!”
“We were very pleased with Karina house sitting for us! She asks about specific commands, dietary needs, and preferences of our dog, which was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She also provides detailed updates and appears to really adore and read pup personalities well. We would highly recommend Karina and will definitely reach out to her again!”

About: My whole life I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, having 3 different dogs and 10 cats over the years. I’ve been one of the main caretakers in my family of our pets. Walking, feeding, bathing, and cutting nails are examples of some of the things I’ve grown up doing for our pets. I worked in a veterinary clinic for the past year and I will be a first year student in veterinary school starting this fall. I’m entirely free this summer until classes start! Once the fall hits and I start veterinary school my availability will become more limited but as of now I’m super free. I use extreme care for any animals I’m taking care of and I’m a very attentive person to their needs and what they want and enjoy. I have a lot of experience with taking care of dogs and cats from growing up with pets, volunteering, and working in veterinary clinic. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge on how to properly care for your pet whether that be in a home or on a walk. I have a huge passion for animals and always pour so much love into any pet that is around me and under my care.
“Jessica was wonderful! She went out of her way to make my dog comfortable! Her communication was outstanding, she really went above and beyond. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her and would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Smooth meet-up & sitting experience, and great level of communication! She was reliable and trustworthy in taking care of our pups and the house. Would definitely work with you again and looking forward to it!”

“Magan watched our pup Indie at our house while we were out of state for a few nights. She was amazing, posted lots of updates to her instagram for us to see, and Indie definitely loved her! He had plenty of playtime while we were gone ?.”

“Kayden was communicative and respectful of our space. He took the time to come meet us and Charley before the scheduled house sit which we really appreciated. We came home to a happy and chilled out pup. Would recommend Kayden!”

“Elizabeth was wonderful with Ollie! He took to her right away. She sent lots of pics which I appreciated! She also took great care of my home. Would highly recommend!!”

“Tatyana is a reliable and caring sitter. She stayed at our house with our 11.5-year-old German Shepherd and provided excellent care, and tremendous peace of mind for us. Having worked at a kennel previously, she is comfortable around all types of dogs (and ours is a big boy). She sent periodic updates and followed our instructions well. We highly recommend her for short or extended care.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brenda was absolutely wonderful! Her communication was great from start to finish, and she sent us pictures of our pups while we were away, which we really appreciated since we missed them so much. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were happy and in good hands. Honestly, they weren’t even overly excited to see us when we got home — which tells me they were very well cared for and totally comfortable with Brenda! Our dogs are pretty rambunctious and full of energy, so I know she had her hands full, and we’re so grateful for the patience and care she showed them. We would 100% book with Brenda again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive sitter!”

“Sidney and my boy Whiskey might be new best friends ? she took fantastic care of him and left the house as it was. I received many photos, which is very appreciated. I loved feeling like she loved spending time with him as much as he surely did.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ashton Corners walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ashton Corners maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ashton Corners choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ashton Corners. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
