From second grade until this past year, I grew up taking care of my maltese shih tzu everyday, named Ruby. She was certainly a very spoiled and loved dog! Since she passed just a couple months ago, it's been strange lacking the comfort and company that Ruby always provided me when I was alone- whether that was on long hiking adventures or just relaxing. In spite of her passing, and my overall affection for animals, I'm eagerly looking forward to finding new furry friends to take care of, play with, and join me on my walks! Growing up, I also frequently took care of my neighbor's dogs which gave me experience with all different breeds, sizes, and behaviors of dogs as well as cats. And aside from all my love for Ruby, she was definitely stubborn and picky so I have experience in dealing with difficult dogs, keeping patience, and figuring out how to accommodate each individual dogs needs and personality. Additionally, my sister has been on rover for years and has watched countless dogs and cats through this platform, and I've helped her out a lot, which has obviously provided me with the most relevant experience possible!

Gabrielle watched our two dogs over the weekend. Our trip was smoother for peace of mind knowing that they were in good hands! She was responsible, gave updates, took them on walks. We came back to happy pups. You'd be fortunate to book her for dog care!
Gabby was fantastic!! She took such great care of my Mini Aussie, Biggie Smalls. She was very communicative, sending updates and pictures throughout the day. Biggie loved her so much he ran right to her the second day I dropped him off with her. Clearly a great dog-sitter! I will absolutely book with Gabby again. Gabby is a ray of sunshine and her loving energy is felt in every aspect of her life. Gabby is everything a pet owner could want in a pet sitter. Not only is she organized, clean, and respectful of her environment, Gabby is also a kind and thoughtful friend. A friend to me, but also those in the animal kingdom. When I first visited Gabby's home, her adoration for her late dog Ruby shined through. Ruby was cared for in every way possible, and Gabby's attention to detail in Ruby's care was evident. Gabby's love of long walks and the outdoors would only be improved upon by the company of your pet.
As Gabby's Mother, I can attest that she is a very caring, friendly, and hard working girl! Shes done nearly all the work caring for our family dog, Ruby, for the past 12 years and has loved every part of it. I know its only a matter of time until she gets her own dog or cat because she loves animals and pets so much. Within Gabby’s other past jobs as a restaurant server and as a nanny, she has been adored and appreciated for all the time and energy she puts into doing things in the best way possible. I hope rover connects her to great pets in the Madison area because I know she will take care of then the best!

Schedule
I will be a junior at UW-Madison, but for now I am enjoying my summer in Madison without classes going on! Therefore, I have plenty of free time and so I'd love to fill it with caring for pets! Living at a prime location in the UW-Madison campus, and having easy access to my car means I can walk or drive to you and your pet and come to your home even if it's outside of campus.

Safety, trust & environment
Whether your dog likes to loiter around every mailbox we pass on walks, or if they like to run, then I'm the dog walker for them! I'm happy to do a casual stroll and bathroom break, and just as happy to do long, multiple-mile walks. As I've gotten used to my whole life, I will always pick up after your dog and will make sure they stay safe and close to me by using whatever leash and collar you can provide. And no matter the weather, I'm still happy to spend the time outside with your dog! If you just need me to stop by to feed your pet and take them for a potty break outside, then I will happily pick up after them in the yard and after they are done eating. I grew up in nice home with a Mom who always taught me to keep things clean, organized, have good manners, and when at others homes to always leave things cleaner than how it was when I arrived. I've upheld these morals in college and so if you'd like me to stay with your pet for extended periods of time at your home, I'm the most trustworthy and respectful person to hire!

Long walks, visiting parks, and relaxing (belly-rubs, of course), are just some of the things I will happily do to entertain your pet(s)! Whatever activities they enjoy are the activities I will gladly do with them (:
