Also they need to be good with other dogs since I usually have a dog in my house since I’m pretty booked***** Thank you Why I love dog sitting I have owned dogs since I was little and I love animals especially dogs! About: I have pet and house-sat every summer since I started college. I am very thorough and want to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible. I have worked with anxious dogs, big dogs, stand-offish cats, and generally "problematic" pets. I know that pets thrive on routine so I try and gather as much information on the pet's normal day to emulate that and keep the pet comfortable. I can be as active or chill as needed so your pet can have a good time! I am currently a Ph.D. student at BU. Classes are starting in September and I have weekends free. Once classes start, I would prefer to pet sit on weekends and days I won't be in class (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays). Keeping your pet safe is my top priority! I have pet-sat many runners and know to keep a watchful eye and strong grip on leashes when out and about. I love taking dogs to dog parks and am not afraid of getting dirty and having fun with your pet! I’m currently not taking classes and have a work from home research program. I can be very flexible with days and times of day. I prefer to work during the weekdays but can really make any time work. I take extra care with pets in my home. I have pet proofed my environment to make sure there is nothing laying about that is unsafe for pets.

“Ely could not have been a better choice for looking after our cat “Kitkit”. During the 4 days Ely was caring for Kitkit she kept us well updated and provided us with something like 40-50 photos. It was obvious from these pictures that Kitkit loved the visits and the attention she was getting from Ely. We would not hesitate to ask Ely to look after Kitkit again, and would highly recommend her to anyone needing someone to look after their pet(s).”

About: I've been surrounded by dogs my entire life and always had a hand in caring, training, and making sure they were happy! My wife tells me I have golden retriever energy so I can get along with any dog! School therapist off for July and August. I can be available from 6 am to 5 pm on weekdays. When I'm not looking after my only dog, I'll be happy to look after yours! As someone with a dog who gets nervous when on her leash, I have learned the required skills to make sure your dog's walk is stress-free and safe! I make sure to bring lots of treats on walks and use positive reinforcement to help my own dog feel more confident and comfortable on walks. I will use the same gentle guidance with your dog as well!

About: I’m an experienced pet owner. I had a St. Bernard who I trained from a puppy up until he was 180# and almost fully grown, unfortunately he passed away after a long battle with meningitis. I currently have an almost two year old chihuahua who I adopted at about 6 months old. I am comfortable caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, and ages. I am also an experienced cat owner, and currently have two cats, and have had 2 senior cats in the past, one who I adopted when they were 17 years old. I have a soft spot for senior animals! I currently work from home with my chihuahua and two cats. I rarely go into the office but will update my calendar when I do. I have the ability to step away from work for dog walks, play time, etc. I have a fenced in yard and live in a walkable neighborhood. I will note that my husband is a state trooper and we do have a state police canine who lives in our yard (as required by the state). He lives in a fully fenced enclosure within our yard. I would never let your dog in the yard unsupervised or when the canine is in his enclosure. I would only take your dog in our yard when the canine is at work! Otherwise, walks will do for potty time :)! There is also a walking trail near a reservoir in my neighborhood that I can utilize if that is something you’re comfortable with. Pets in my home can go on the couch, lay on the bed, etc. I consider my pets as family and not merely possessions. They are all unique individuals!

“Shakuntala is such a joy to work with! Our puppy Ares adores her and looks forward to their time together each day! She is informative, kind, and loving to Ares. She takes the best photos too which is so great to see when we are away at work :) I would HIGHLY recommend her to take care of anyone’s pets as she picks up on their routines so quickly and makes sure that both the owners and pet are happy at all times! We are so thankful to have met Shakuntala and can’t wait to see all the great times and memories she will be making with Ares.”

About: I had the absolute joy of growing up with a golden retriever who was my best friend for 10 wonderful years. I cared for him from his playful puppy days all the way through his senior years, which gave me hands-on experience with every stage of a dog’s life—from potty training and puppy zoomies to gentle care and patience in his older years. It’s been three years since I lost him, and I’ve been looking for meaningful ways to bring dogs back into my life. Last summer, I fostered a sweet pit bull and it reminded me just how much love I have to give. I treat every dog like they’re part of the family—with warmth, attention, and a lot of belly rubs! I have a flexible schedule, which means I can accommodate early morning walks, mid-day drop-ins, or evening visits depending on what your pet needs. I am able to build my day around making sure your pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for. You know your animals the best so please let me know any instructions or special rules that are needed to care for your baby. I offer reliable pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Your pup will get tons of attention and you will get consistent updates with pictures :) Environment: I live in an apartment on a quiet street on the Lynn/Swampscott line. There are two doors that you need to enter before you get into my apartment, which means it would be hard for any elopers to escape incase they were able to sneak through my door on accident. While I do not have a backyard, I am so super close to the beach and love to take walks there.

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 9 years old, starting with my grandma's exotic birds and later expanding to bearded dragons, geckos, cats, and my first dog, Max, a Jack Russell Terrier who passed away at 14. After losing Max, my family struggled to find another dog to fill his shoes but still wanted to experience the love and joy dogs bring. That’s when I started my journey as a dog walker 9 years ago. Since then, I've expanded my skills to include dog training, grooming, and general care. I’ve been proud to maintain a 5-star rating and have had the privilege of working with over 100 dogs (and counting!). Through it all, I've met so many wonderful owners and shared countless moments with their dogs, teaching me just how much love and joy our furry companions bring into our lives. Rover has allowed me to express my passion in ways I never imagined, and I love being able to share my adventures with your pets. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pup or cat with the same love, care, and respect as family, I’d be honored to help. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies! I’m currently working from home so I will have more than enough time with your pup or cat. My routine will based around your pet’s needs. #1 priority. I treat both pet and clients homes as they were my own. Communication and transparency go a long way expect nothing less from me. I will follow any specific instructions needed to best suit your dogs needs.

Fatimah B.
“Our cats like Fatimah better than they like us. Fatimah has helped take care of our pets for years, and she's been extremely consistent, considerate, and reliable. She's patient with the cats even when they need medications but also savvy enough to get them to do what they need to. She keeps us updated when things are going well and lets us know immediately if there's ever an issue. Fatimah has been a key pillar of our family, furry members and all, and I am certain she'd be the same for anyone else's.”

“Very attentive to my cat’s needs. Great with communicating what’s going on at home. Makes me feel comfortable knowing she’s being taken care of very well.”

Sutton B.
“I have known Sutton for over 10 years. Growing up he always took great care for his dog Captain and currently is a great dog dad to Dolly. Hiring Sutton for your dog sitting needs would be hiring someone who would treat your dog with the same love and care as he does for his dog.”

Tatiana D.
“To Whom It May Concern, I would highly recommend Tatiana to work with your organization. She is incredibly dependable, deeply compassionate, and truly loves all animals. Tatiana has cared for my dog on many occasions and has even stayed in our home while we were away on vacation. My dog, Dakota, was not an easy dog—she suffered from anxiety and needed special care. Tatiana handled her with incredible patience and understanding, even during stressful situations. One memorable example: Dakota once ran out of the yard, and Tatiana—wearing only a towel and pajamas—ran after her without hesitation. In the process, she accidentally locked herself out of the house. But true to her character, she remained calm and was more concerned about Dakota’s safety than her own inconvenience. That kind of dedication and grace under pressure speaks volumes. Tatiana has had many pets of her own over the years, including cats and dogs. She also experienced the heartbreaking loss of her beloved St. Bernard at only three years old, which shows how much she connects with animals and the depth of care she provides. Anyone who has the opportunity to have Tatiana walk, dog-sit, or care for their pets will be extremely fortunate. I can say with full confidence that she would be a trustworthy and loving caregiver for any animal. Sincerely, Winnie Barrasso”

“Sharon is the BEST! First of all, she LOVES all dogs and she's really good with them. She was even able to take excellent care of my two German Shepherds. They are kind of poorly socialized, but she was able to care for them and walk both of them without any issues. I recommend Sharon highly.”
