About: I grew up with dogs my whole life, and have always been a big dog lover of all shapes, sizes, and breeds! I frequently pet-sit for my friends and family, including exuberant young puppies, gentle older dogs, cautious reactive dogs, and anything in between. I love to play with and walk dogs at their own pace and preference, and am happy to help support and reinforce your training plans and pet rules. I have been an elementary teacher for just over a decade and am taking some time off, so my schedule is very flexible, and I would love to fill it with helping care for dogs in our community! So I’m well equipped to care for dogs that are… “a lot!” I’m on my way to becoming an Applied Animal Behaviorist and have finished all my coursework in behavior with a 4.0 GPA, so when your pets come with me, they’ll benefit from my extensive knowledge on understanding behavior and maximizing welfare. My prices might be a little higher than others, but I promise it will be worth it for the level of care & expertise I provide! I’m home full time as I finish my thesis remotely. The animals I care for come first, whether it be early morning potty breaks or afternoon activities. My schedule is flexible and I have ample time to give your pets the attention they need, while also giving them quiet time to rest in a private space. When pets stay with me, they have their own spare bedroom to sleep in. They can have a crate in there, or stay loose in the room and sleep on the bed. We have a small yard, so I opt to take dogs out 4 times a day to potty in a small park right outside my front door. We can play here too! A lot of dogs like to sunbathe in our yard, including my own. I have three dogs who all have different preferences in their dog friends, so it’s likely your dog will find a best friend here. Or, if your dog prefers not to be around other dogs, that’s no problem either. They can hang out with just me! I always use long lines and either harnesses or safely fitted collars to walk dogs, so they can have maximum freedom to express themselves while also staying safe and comfortable.

Our dog is a 15 year old lab that is mostly blind, mostly deaf and has a few other “old lady” problems. Despite all this Isabelle agreed to watch Jayden for a few hours. Isabelle’s communication before and during Jayden’s stay was exceptional as she kept us updated on how Jayden was doing and sent a few pics as well. Isabelle was also very flexible when we asked if we could drop Jayden off earlier than originally planned. About: Your dog is as much an individual as you are and we are here to help your puppies to have exactly the experience that they need. I am a life long dog lover and have had many dogs over the years (work travel prevents me from ownership right now). Over the years my household (me, adult son, grand daughter (6)) have adopted or fostered a wide variety of dogs from a puppy to be trained and moved on to forever home to senior dogs who ultimately ended up with their forever home right here. I am excellent at giving medication (was a LPN for humans), long walks that I enjoy as much as the dog, and am open to any dog related service your dog may need. I will always treat your dog like the wonderful individual they are. I am open to any size dog and ANY breed (I have great relationships with pit bulls, Chihuahua's, and other high difficulty breads) All dogs must have flee control and be up on vaccinations (and licensed). I was reading the Rover information for customers and it said you should ask about how much cuddle time, playtime, and walks cost. Your pet will get all the cuddles, walks, and playtime they can stand for free. I do this because everybody in my house loves dogs and want to make new furry friends. Feel free to contact me with any questions I am a work from home writer, artist, photographer, and journalist, so I have lots of open time. I do travel for work in the summer months which does leave some days completely unavailable, but otherwise ready to walk from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. There is no other way to say it, I love dogs and will treat your dog with more respect than most humans receive. The walks will be well planned and any care will be exactly what you requested.
