“Stephanie is fantastic! Riley had such a good day. I was a little nervous as we haven't had Riley for very long and so doggy day care is new for us. Stephanie and her pups made for a great day!”

“Grace was FANTASTIC!! She allowed us to drop off our two dogs at 7:30 am and pick them up at 12:30 pm. She took them for walks, to ease my Shepherd's anxiety and to get some energy out of my Husky puppy. I was later given a report card with how many poops, pee & water breaks they each took. When and where they went for a walk, she also attached some photos. I was greatly impressed with Grace and overall very satisfied with Rover in general, as this was our first time utilizing this system (won't be the last). Best of all, we had fast communication with Grace, reassuring my nerves, and answering all my questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)”

“Colleen came through for a last minute booking and was wonderful with our very picky doggie. He was excited to see us at pick up but didn’t want to leave!”

They warmed up to her and her sweet doggies. Both of them had their tongues out when I picked them up!m. Couldn’t have asked for a better daycare for the pups!”

About: As a Dog Behavior Therapist I have treated and trained dozens of pets and service dogs. I have been caring for animals and providing positive reinforcement and love to dogs and cats since I could walk. My first love was my Saint Bernard, who I taught to give me rides around the neighborhood. During my time as a home health nurse I also cared for many senior, disabled, troubled, blind, and injection dependant dogs. As an extremely active person, I enjoy treating dogs to quality time in the great outdoors, while working on their skills as good doggy citizens. In my opinion pets and verbal praise are even more important than treats for positive reinforcement, so my furry friends always get lots of affection when they’re in my care. I work with a very flexible schedule, so often have availability during the days for short and long adventures. I have lived and served this community for a decade, and now enjoy walking my furry friends in the parks and open spaces, or taking a drive in my SUV (with ramp for senior/disabled dogs) to the local dog parks and beaches. I keep an accurate and updated calendar here at Rover. I have a very flexible schedule, so usually have availability during the days for short and long adventures, or to check in on dog and cat friends. I have a doggy play space and open space for long walks and fun dog activities. Dogs are always supervised and updates sent to owner/s with photos and locations so you can feel secure in knowing where and what your beloved companion is doing to enjoy themselves.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for years—everything from playful puppies to older pets who need a gentler touch. As a student-athlete, I’m active and love long walks, but I’m also super patient and detail-oriented, which helps with things like administering meds or sticking to a training routine. I’ve helped potty train puppies, kept senior pets on schedule with meds, and always treat animals with the same love I’d give my own. I also have flexible availability and a calm, reliable presence that helps pets feel safe and at ease. As a student-athlete, I have a structured routine with free time in the mornings, mid-day, and evenings—ideal for pet care. I stay local for the summer and most breaks, so I’m available even when school’s out. Whether it’s a quick walk or extended care, I’m reliable, flexible, and always happy to spend time with pets as part of my daily routine. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize safety, comfort, and trust. In a client’s home, I stick to their routines exactly—whether it’s feeding, walks, crate time, or medication—and make sure pets are always secure and supervised. In my own home, I have a spacious fenced backyard with turf, perfect for safe playtime and potty breaks. I create a calm, pet-friendly environment and stay tuned in to each animal’s needs. You’ll always get regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.

“Kara was great with my dog for daycare. She watched him 2 days in a row and he was a happy camper when I picked him up both days!!”

About: I have grown up with cats my whole life, and have taken care of a dog for the past three years. I have also pet sat for multiple families and currently work at Cal Poly’s cat shelter. I love taking care of and spending time with pets and getting to know their different personalities! I am currently a rising junior in college and staying in SLO for part of summer break. I am looking to gain greater work experience through caring for cats and dogs. I am available all day M, W, F, Sat., and Sunday. I am additionally available T, TH in the evenings only. I have a very pet friendly home and can make any adjustments upon request to create a safe and inviting space for animals. Additionally, I am very respectful of the space I am in and am great at taking instruction in pet care.

“Joan is the kindest, nicest person you could hope to have watch your dog. She watched over our pandemic pup on his first time away from us while we hiked and canoed around Morro bay. She did such a great job that we even sent our dog back the next day. She was patient with him, despite the barking and who knows what else :).”

“Hank loved being with Sandra! He came home tired every day and was excited to see her which means a lot. She was very accommodating to my weird hospital hours which I very much appreciated.”

“If you like your pet to experience a farm during their next stay, this is the place. Roxy had fun playing with their dog and slept all the way home.”

About: From a very young age I have experience caring for my own dogs and cats, as well as for my family members and friend’s animals. Currently as a college student, I have been hired many times to care overnight for dogs and cats and stay with them for extended periods of time. As a runner and athlete I love walking dogs and taking them for runs too! I am very patient and reliable as I also am a nanny for work who looks after young children. I love animals and spending time getting to know people’s pets! Also, I have my own transportation so any emergencies can be dealt with, and I can also pick up pets. At the moment the family I nanny for will be away for some time, so my schedule is completely open, and my classes are online as well for school. I have a fenced yard in Los Osos, which stays relatively cool in the summer months so it’s a great place for dogs to relax. There are many great hikes and walks near me which I’d love to take your pups on with your permission. For cats and dogs I do not mind them inside the house since there is tile flooring and a little fenced off area for them so they get the whole kitchen to hang out in.

About: Cal Poly business and marketing student providing reliable pet care. Your pets will be treated just like my own! I will make sure your furry friends are in great care! I am available anytime if booked in advance but I also usually take all same day bookings as well! I’m excited & ready to start booking with you!
