“Valentine was terrific! My younger cat, Lula, who takes a while to warm up to most people was on her lap from day 1 and Leo was all in for belly rubs from day 1. Communication was great also and I would hire her again to watch my kitties any time. Thanks!”

“Lauren was fantastic to work with and our pets were well taken care of while we were gone! Excellent communication and we enjoy all of the photos she sent during her drop in visits. 😊”

“Emma has been doing drop in visits with our 3 dogs on multiple occasions and had done an exceptional job! We have an old, blind dog that is 14 and two others. She has built a nice relationship with our lab/ Rottweiler as he is nervous with new people. We will be utilizing her loving care on future drop ins. Thanks Emma!”

“Calissa was great with our two pups! She arrived on time and took them out, let them play and also cleaned up an accident! It was a last minute request but she responded super quick!! We can’t wait to use her again!! Thank you so much Calissa!!”

“I have been so grateful to have Amelia check in on my cats, three separate times now. She is so reliable, prompt to reply and I will continue to utilize her services as long as I can! She is a lifesaver, every single time!”

About: As a seasoned pet owner and sitter, I’m excited to join Rover and connect with pet parents in the Lawrence area! With a fenced backyard and a flexible schedule, your furry friend will have a safe and fun place to stay, whether it’s for the day or during your vacation. I specialize in caring for special needs and senior pets, offering tailored attention to ensure their comfort. Need some light training or a thorough brush-out? I’ve got you covered. Let’s make sure your pet feels right at home! I work 30 hours a week at a restaurant, but shifts are usually never longer than 8 hours. The rest of my time is spent at home studying to be a physical therapy assistant and personal trainer. I thoroughly enjoy having furry friends stay over and keep me company while I pursue my career goals and education. I'm usually up by 6:30 am every day, so early drop-offs before your work shift are no problem! I am BIG on communication while your pet is in my care. Our initial meeting will include a quick interview so I can learn your pet's schedule, typical behaviors, special care instructions, and play preferences. For boarding, I like to provide a daily recap text and even a few pictures so you can see your pet's level of comfort and care. If you are using my daycare services, I will take note of feeding and walking/outside times as well as other highlights to summarize at pick-up time. I'm a big cuddler who is also very respectful of pets who aren't. Animals are allowed anywhere with an open door and can sit or lay down on furniture (unless you've directed otherwise). All plants are high up and non-toxic. I have a large living room and kitchen with multiple spots for food and water that can be set for any pets who have trouble sharing. The tree-lined fence of my yard is six feet tall and wooden, helping deter even the most agile pet from jumping or digging their way out. You are welcome to bring any beds, blankets, toys, crates, food bowls, or any other item that will help make your pet feel at home.
About: Hi! I’m Emily, a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I grew up with dogs, have fostered many, and currently share my home with one very happy pup and a spacious, fully fenced-in yard perfect for playtime and sunbathing. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, overnight care, or just some TLC while you’re away, I provide a safe, loving environment tailored to their needs. I have experience with basic training and behavior modification, so I’m confident handling everything from energetic puppies to dogs who need a little extra patience. I’m all about enriching adventures—whether it’s a hike, a neighborhood stroll, or a game of fetch in the yard. As a bonus, I’m happy to give your dog a bath before heading home so they’re clean and cozy when they return to you! I have a flexible schedule and often work from home, which means your pup will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. On the rare occasion I need to step into the office, I’m never gone long—I make sure to return within a couple of hours to check in, play, and care for your dog. Your pup’s comfort and routine are always my top priority! Your dog’s safety and comfort come first in my care. I provide a secure, loving environment with a large, fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play and plenty of room to relax inside. I treat every dog like my own, keeping a close eye on behavior, body language, and needs. Whether it’s sticking to your pup’s routine, offering structured enrichment, or just providing a cozy space to nap, you can feel confident they’re in good hands. I’m committed to creating a calm, consistent, and safe experience—because peace of mind matters for both you and your pup.
About: I grew up with animals in my household since I was in diapers. A few years ago my wife and I decided to adopt 2 of my own from Lawrence Humane Society. My first big lug, Maverick, is medically complex and requires daily eye drops (3 different drops 4x daily!) for very dry eyes. He also has arthritis in his hips and allergies that are taken care of with shots! We are not sure why maverick was surrendered, but can’t imagine life without him. My second baby, Joy, is an angel who only wants pets and kisses. She was surrendered apparently due to her not getting along with other dogs, but has since been trained and now gets along with all dogs! During the week, I am working from 8am-430pm with a hour lunch break to let the dogs roam free! My wife is available most days of the week and I am free essentially every weekend! We are regimented when it comes to caring for our own pets from feeds, walks, and play time. Our dogs are our everything and we would treat yours as such!
About: I have taken care of pets since I was 8 for neighbors families and friends. I do walks, baths and general care for dogs and other pets. I’m currently working part-time PM shifts so I have full day availability to care for your pets! I’m a recent grad looking for some help making some extra cash. I am very adaptable to each pets needs and have dealt with various different types of animals. I am very respectful and neat when entering other people’s homes
About: Hello my name is Quincie! I am an animal lover and I provide excellent care to cats and dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats never not having at least one around. I have always taken care of my own pets but as far as other people’s pets I’ve been pet sitting and dog walking for friends and family since I was about 10 years old. I also have experience with animals that have very high needs. I’ve had insane puppies that need lots of guidance and training, senior cats and dogs that need patience, pets with important medical needs, and I’ve even owned a cat with diabetes who needed insulin injections twice daily with strict eating schedules. Currently I am working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility in Lawrence Kansas. I recently moved here and am wanting to start pet sitting again! Currently I typically work 6:30am-1:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays so I am typically available after 1:30 especially if I can get a heads up. On Sundays I work from 12pm-5pm and am available before or after. I am off Wednesdays and Saturdays and am available most of the time. Please reach out if you have any scheduling questions. In clients home I will follow their exact instructions and use my best judgment. I understand that all pets and pet parents operate differently so I think it is best to do what your pet is used to while you are away especially with nervous pets.
About: Hi! I’m Sarah, an experienced, reliable pet caregiver and lifelong animal lover. My son and I recently said goodbye to our beloved dog of 12 years, and while we aren’t quite ready to welcome a new pet of our own, we deeply enjoy caring for animals and making them feel safe, loved, and at home. I have over 15 years of experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I take a thoughtful, individualized approach—meeting each dog where they are and offering just-right levels of activity, enrichment, and rest based on their needs, age, and energy. I prioritize safety, routines, clear communication, and plenty of affection, including snuggles and relaxed indoor downtime. My 10-year-old son is kind, gentle, and very respectful with animals, and he especially loves quiet companionship and playtime (always supervised). Your pet will be treated like a valued family member, and you can expect dependable care, thoughtful attention, and regular updates while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for walks, play, and check-ins, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, to match your pet’s routine. Pets are always supervised in a calm, clean home. I follow routines, respect boundaries, involve my gentle, animal-savvy child appropriately, and communicate clearly with owners.

“Our dog Allie just loves Ava. She and our high anxiety dog hit it off right away. Ava is always on time. We already have Ava booked for our vacation in a few weeks. We feel very comfortable leaving our baby in her care.”

“Elena was awesome!!! She took care of our two cats while we were gone for the holidays and she made sure to treat them with so much love! She even gave our kitties a Christmas treat to make them feel loved while we were gone. She also sent so many photos! We will definitely request her again!”

About: I have over 8 years of experience caring for pets through apps such as Wag and Sittercity, as well as clients through recommendations. I have experience administering oral and surface medications. I do work full time but I live where I work so it is easy to step out of my office and come to my home and relieve pets. I can also work from home if need be to spend extra time with your pet. My weekend availability will always be open as I only work Monday through Friday. My apartment is very spacious. They would have access to only the living room if I am away but all other spaces when I am home. I have space for a crate if you prefer to have that in the space. Within your home, I am completely respectful and adjust to the rules already set forth in the home as I am just a visitor.

Lawrence dog parents share their Rover experiences
I cannot recommend Iryna enough! Both my dog and my cat can be a bit wary around new people, but she was absolutely amazing with them. I was so incredibly impressed by how quickly my dog warmed up to her, and she was incredibly patient and gentle in building that trust. Her communication is top-notch, she replies quickly and is highly proactive. I really appreciated that she was quick to ask questions and bring things up if there was even the slightest cause for concern. It gave me total peace of mind and allowed me to actually relax while I was away. If you are looking for a sitter who is patient, attentive, and a fantastic communicator, she is the absolute best!

Kyra did an amazing job watching my fur babies. This was the best choice we made having Kyra take care of them in their own home. We have tried boarding and the dogs did not do good with that. We came home to two happy dogs. I would highly recoment Kyra to watch your animals.

Kelsie was an absolute dream to work with! Kelsie did weekly drop-in visits for me for 6+ months. My very shy and nervous dog loved her and I never had any concerns for his safety or happiness when he was in her care. She is communicative, flexible, and exceptionally trustworthy. I would highly recommend Kelsie to care for your fur babies!

Annicka was amazing with my dogs! She’s very responsible, caring, and loving towards my dogs. I loved the pictures she sent me and the her comments about their daily experience. I’m very grateful to have had such a great experience for more than 1 month of almost daily walks for the dogs.

Natalie was great! She took our last minute holiday booking request and our cat and dog seemed very happy with her visits. It was nice to get daily updates and photos of the critters. We squeezed in a meet and greet so everyone could get acquainted and go over routines. Thanks!
