“Valentine was terrific! My younger cat, Lula, who takes a while to warm up to most people was on her lap from day 1 and Leo was all in for belly rubs from day 1. Communication was great also and I would hire her again to watch my kitties any time. Thanks!”

About: I have been caring for a variety of animals for as long as I can remember, from dogs and cats to lizards and snakes. My family neighbors and friends have trusted me with their pets and homes for a very long time. I have done a lot of tasks like walking training cleaning and of course playing I care for my own dog on a daily basis, and I will be happy to do jobs at anytime between my other job and other activities. I will play with your pets and can take them for walks and potty breaks. I will also stay with them overnight if need be.
“Emma has been doing drop in visits with our 3 dogs on multiple occasions and had done an exceptional job! We have an old, blind dog that is 14 and two others. She has built a nice relationship with our lab/ Rottweiler as he is nervous with new people. We will be utilizing her loving care on future drop ins. Thanks Emma!”

About: As a seasoned pet owner and sitter, I’m excited to join Rover and connect with pet parents in the Lawrence area! With a fenced backyard and a flexible schedule, your furry friend will have a safe and fun place to stay, whether it’s for the day or during your vacation. I specialize in caring for special needs and senior pets, offering tailored attention to ensure their comfort. Need some light training or a thorough brush-out? I’ve got you covered. Let’s make sure your pet feels right at home! I work 30 hours a week at a restaurant, but shifts are usually never longer than 8 hours. The rest of my time is spent at home studying to be a physical therapy assistant and personal trainer. I thoroughly enjoy having furry friends stay over and keep me company while I pursue my career goals and education. I'm usually up by 6:30 am every day, so early drop-offs before your work shift are no problem! I am BIG on communication while your pet is in my care. Our initial meeting will include a quick interview so I can learn your pet's schedule, typical behaviors, special care instructions, and play preferences. For boarding, I like to provide a daily recap text and even a few pictures so you can see your pet's level of comfort and care. If you are using my daycare services, I will take note of feeding and walking/outside times as well as other highlights to summarize at pick-up time. I'm a big cuddler who is also very respectful of pets who aren't. Animals are allowed anywhere with an open door and can sit or lay down on furniture (unless you've directed otherwise). All plants are high up and non-toxic. I have a large living room and kitchen with multiple spots for food and water that can be set for any pets who have trouble sharing. The tree-lined fence of my yard is six feet tall and wooden, helping deter even the most agile pet from jumping or digging their way out. You are welcome to bring any beds, blankets, toys, crates, food bowls, or any other item that will help make your pet feel at home.
About: I have taken care of pets since I was 13 and house sat since I was 15!! I was also a kennel tech for a year! This included giving medication, bathing, feeding, and just plain old watching the pets! I know CPR for our fury friends too! I have two dogs of my own as well as four cats so I am completely comfortable with a variety. I am a college student working on my masters online while working another job as well. My schedule is pretty straight forward for me so pet care will fit well as long as I keep my calendar balanced. I am comfortable house sitting for both dogs and cats. I am more than capable of crating or letting pets out to potty. I usually keep treats on me anytime I care for a furry friend. When I walk animals, I usually go for 30 minutes to an hour so that they get the excercise needed. I also have bags for when they do their business on a walk.
About: I grew up with four dogs, and love how playful dogs can be. I love taking my dogs for walks and playing keep away with their toys. I am currently off of law school for the summer, so I am pretty available and flexible. I teach dance in the evenings, but have time to still check in on animals! I can take your dogs out, scoop cat's litter boxes, feed animals, take them for walks, play with them, give meds, whatever you need! I have lots of pet sitting experience and understand being a pet parent.
“I don’t have the most user friendly dog. She is scared of strangers and slow to warm. She is a boxer pit and can be intimidating. I am always nervous about her with strangers. She was rescued from a bad bad situation and has come so far from when we got her. Amelia was amazingly patient and genuine with her. She sent me a picture and Annie looked so relaxed with her! I am definitely rebooking with them because they are so great with my big little scaredy-cat dog!”
About: I grew up on the family farm surrounded by dogs and cats and all kinds of animals - caring for them was part of my life. That lifelong connection led me to volunteer at a local dog and cat shelter where I've gained even more experience with pets of all temperaments and needs. I treat every animal like a family and I willl give your pet loving care whether it's for a quick walk or an overnight stay. I have a very flexible schedule so I can fully prioritize pet care. My days naturally revolve around the animals I am caring for and I enjoy creating routine that suits their needs. My home, farm in the woods, is a dog paradise where they can relax, go for walks or play. In client's home, I'm respectful of their space and routines, I communicate with the owner, send updates and make sure the pet has all my attention.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals for years! I have lots of experience with different breeds and many different types of caregiving. Some of my experience includes watching two very active pit bull mix siblings. I would check in on the dogs 4+ times per day, take each one on a 2+ mile walk every day, and spend at least 1-2 hours of sit down time so they weren’t lonely. I watched those lovely dogs for 2-3 weeks at a time for numerous years! My most recent experience was taking care of Two english pointers, a rottweiler, and smaller mutt dog for 3 nights! Each dog had a separate feeding space and interactive form of eating. I made sure to follow their owners specific instructions and give the dogs lots of walks, outside time, and sit down time for 5+ hours a day! As well as the dogs I took care of two goats at that home as well! I am very capable of walking and pet sitting many different dogs. I have experience with smaller dogs like Mini poodles, to high energy large dogs like weimaraners. I will do my best to give your animals the love and care they deserve. I will make sure that they are healthy, safe, and most importantly happy! I pet sit in STL over the summer and Lawrence KS from August-May Between May-August I work part time at the Sunset Country club. Even with my work I should and will be able to schedule and give your pets the best of care that includes at least 3 or more check ins per day and walks twice or more a day, depending on their needs and your request. I do not work Mondays, which makes me more free! From August-May I am a full time student with a lot of free time to walk pets, stop in, watch them, and more! I care for pets to the best of my ability and give them the most love and care I am capable of! Between my two households, I have 2 dogs and recently one that passed. I take care of my pets and others pets to the best of my ability and want to ensure that your pets are cared for and you trust and are confident that they are healthy, safe, and most importantly, happy! I will always adjust to you and your pets needs, so please communicate openly and fully so I can do my best to give your pets the best!
“Alejandra did an amazing job looking after our two kitties! It can be very difficult to find a sitter that you trust to look after your babies and she proved to be very trustworthy and attentive. We will book again! 💕”

About: I have had dogs growing up my whole life (medium to large), and I currently have a cat of my own. I love playing and hanging out with animals. About: I have a lot of experience taking care of neighborhood pets, during neighbors vacations, etc. I enjoyed it! I've taken care of dogs, cats, a bearded dragon, and rabbits. I'm currently avalable any day of the week, day or evening. (except Sunday morning). Currently looking for full time employment and will verify when i'm avalible. I calmly approach them and give them some affection (giving them belly rubs, petting them, etc) . I am always careful about their safety, by using a leash, or making sure their inside enviroment is secured. I will feed and water pets according to client instructions. I enjoy spending quality time with the pets I care for, by sitting with them, playing ball or throwing a toy for fetch.

“HUGE thanks to Michele for being able to come over on such short notice to let my pup out during the day!! I have used Michele a handful of times, and I can't say enough wonderful things about her and her family. Thanks again, Michele! :)”

About: I've been lucky enough to take care of homes and pets in lots of different places, like California, Oregon, and even other countries. All that experience has helped me become really good at providing reliable and loving care for both pets and their people. I’m really good at going with the flow and can easily change my schedule to fit what a pet needs. Whether it’s walking the dog early in the morning, playing with them in the afternoon, or feeding them at night, I’m always flexible and ready to adjust. I always do exactly what my clients ask me to do, whether it’s about feeding their pet on time, giving them medicine, or teaching them good behavior. I know how important it is to keep things consistent for pets, so I try to make their routine as comfortable and familiar as possible.
About: I have taken care of my own dogs for over 10 years. I had a puppy that I walked, fed, trained ever since I was younger. I also currently have a senior dog that requires a lot of care and love. Even though it is tough as she gets older and moves slower, I always give her as much effort as I can to make sure she is comfortable and cared for. Dogs have my whole heart and I love taking care of them and letting them know they are loved! I currently work full time but am free in the evenings and some afternoons on weekdays. Also, I am free all mornings/afternoons on the weekends. I have a fenced in yard for dogs to run around and play in. I live in a quiet neighborhood, great for walks. I will make sure to be interactive and attentive and gets lots of time to play.
About: I have over 8 years of experience caring for pets through apps such as Wag and Sittercity, as well as clients through recommendations. I have experience administering oral and surface medications. I do work full time but I live where I work so it is easy to step out of my office and come to my home and relieve pets. I can also work from home if need be to spend extra time with your pet. My weekend availability will always be open as I only work Monday through Friday. My apartment is very spacious. They would have access to only the living room if I am away but all other spaces when I am home. I have space for a crate if you prefer to have that in the space. Within your home, I am completely respectful and adjust to the rules already set forth in the home as I am just a visitor.
About: "If you can look at a dog and not feel vicarious excitement and affection, you must be a cat." ~Terri Guillemets Love dogs (and animals in general, but dogs especially.) I have been around them my whole life and wouldn't want it any other way. I come from a large, mostly rural dwelling family, my grandma had 11 kids 2/3 of which have at least 1 or more dog(s) including my mom. I've always had my own and/or lived with roommates/friends/family, that have/had dog(s) in every house I've lived from day 1 to the present. Although I can't say I've taken care of every breed out there (doubt that many people can) I have definitely seen my fair share of mutts and purebreds alike; from Corgis to Chihuahuas, Danes to Dobermans, Lhasa Apsos to Shar Peis, and even a couple of wolves (3/4 mixes) as well as a few rodents, cats, reptiles, arachnid and birds. Big or small I love "em all, but if you forced me to pick a favorite I'd have to go with the affectionate yet intimidating Perro de Presa Canario. In short, if either by choice or necessity you find yourself in need of a caretaker for your 4-legged (or more) companion(s), know that I would be elated for the opportunity and you can be assured that their health and well-being will invariably be at the forefront of my mind in all that I do while they're in my care. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you soon. "Lots of people talk to animals.... Not very many listen, though.... That's the problem." ~Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh

Iryna provided a positive experience for my dog while I had to be out of town. She was prompt, reliable, and gave eye drop medication without any issue. Really appreciated her care for my boy and the number of pictures I received each visit! It gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands.

I had a medical emergency and had to be admitted to the hospital. I had used Kyra previously so I called her last minute and she was able to take care of my fur babies. You don't know how much that calmed my nerves that she was able to take care of them. She does an amazing job and my dogs love her. I highly recomend her. Great job Kyra!

Sierra was great! On short notice, she was able to come over and hang out with my pups while I was gone most of the day. Sierra was communicative, reliable, and gave me peace of mind knowing they were being well cared for. I would highly recommend Sierra and will definitely book with Sierra again in the future!

Emma has been doing drop in visits with our 3 dogs on multiple occasions and had done an exceptional job! We have an old, blind dog that is 14 and two others. She has built a nice relationship with our lab/ Rottweiler as he is nervous with new people. We will be utilizing her loving care on future drop ins. Thanks Emma!

Kelsie was an absolute dream to work with! Kelsie did weekly drop-in visits for me for 6+ months. My very shy and nervous dog loved her and I never had any concerns for his safety or happiness when he was in her care. She is communicative, flexible, and exceptionally trustworthy. I would highly recommend Kelsie to care for your fur babies!

Annicka was amazing with my dogs! She’s very responsible, caring, and loving towards my dogs. I loved the pictures she sent me and the her comments about their daily experience. I’m very grateful to have had such a great experience for more than 1 month of almost daily walks for the dogs.
