I thoroughly enjoy having furry friends stay over and keep me company while I pursue my career goals and education. I'm usually up by 6:30 am every day, so early drop-offs before your work shift are no problem! I am BIG on communication while your pet is in my care. Our initial meeting will include a quick interview so I can learn your pet's schedule, typical behaviors, special care instructions, and play preferences. For boarding, I like to provide a daily recap text and even a few pictures so you can see your pet's level of comfort and care. If you are using my daycare services, I will take note of feeding and walking/outside times as well as other highlights to summarize at pick-up time. I'm a big cuddler who is also very respectful of pets who aren't. Animals are allowed anywhere with an open door and can sit or lay down on furniture (unless you've directed otherwise). All plants are high up and non-toxic. I have a large living room and kitchen with multiple spots for food and water that can be set for any pets who have trouble sharing. The tree-lined fence of my yard is six feet tall and wooden, helping deter even the most agile pet from jumping or digging their way out. You are welcome to bring any beds, blankets, toys, crates, food bowls, or any other item that will help make your pet feel at home.

About: I grew up with animals in my household since I was in diapers. A few years ago my wife and I decided to adopt 2 of my own from Lawrence Humane Society. My first big lug, Maverick, is medically complex and requires daily eye drops (3 different drops 4x daily!) for very dry eyes. He also has arthritis in his hips and allergies that are taken care of with shots! We are not sure why maverick was surrendered, but can’t imagine life without him. My second baby, Joy, is an angel who only wants pets and kisses. She was surrendered apparently due to her not getting along with other dogs, but has since been trained and now gets along with all dogs! During the week, I am working from 8am-430pm with a hour lunch break to let the dogs roam free! My wife is available most days of the week and I am free essentially every weekend! We are regimented when it comes to caring for our own pets from feeds, walks, and play time. Our dogs are our everything and we would treat yours as such!

About: Hello my name is Quincie! I am an animal lover and I provide excellent care to cats and dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats never not having at least one around. I have always taken care of my own pets but as far as other people’s pets I’ve been pet sitting and dog walking for friends and family since I was about 10 years old. I also have experience with animals that have very high needs. I’ve had insane puppies that need lots of guidance and training, senior cats and dogs that need patience, pets with important medical needs, and I’ve even owned a cat with diabetes who needed insulin injections twice daily with strict eating schedules. Currently I am working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility in Lawrence Kansas. I recently moved here and am wanting to start pet sitting again! Currently I typically work 6:30am-1:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays so I am typically available after 1:30 especially if I can get a heads up. On Sundays I work from 12pm-5pm and am available before or after. I am off Wednesdays and Saturdays and am available most of the time. Please reach out if you have any scheduling questions. In clients home I will follow their exact instructions and use my best judgment. I understand that all pets and pet parents operate differently so I think it is best to do what your pet is used to while you are away especially with nervous pets.

I have experience administering oral and surface medications. I do work full time but I live where I work so it is easy to step out of my office and come to my home and relieve pets. I can also work from home if need be to spend extra time with your pet. My weekend availability will always be open as I only work Monday through Friday. My apartment is very spacious. They would have access to only the living room if I am away but all other spaces when I am home. I have space for a crate if you prefer to have that in the space. Within your home, I am completely respectful and adjust to the rules already set forth in the home as I am just a visitor.

This included giving medication, bathing, feeding, and just plain old watching the pets! I know CPR for our fury friends too! My schedule is pretty straight forward for me so pet care will fit well as long as I keep my calendar balanced. I am comfortable house sitting for both dogs and cats. When I walk animals, I usually go for 30 minutes to an hour so that they get the excercise needed. I also have bags for when they do their business on a walk.
