Grew up w/ dogs/cats & I love walks
I have a wide range of pet care experience. I have owned small and large dogs growing up; as well as cats, rabbits, gerbils and guinea pigs. During the pandemic I also was able to foster dogs and cats for the Lawrence Humane Society. I have dog walking/overnight dog sitting experience with senior dogs (16+ years old). I have dog walking/overnight dog sitting experience with puppies (6 weeks+ years old). Along with senior cats and kittens of similar ages. I have watched all size ranges of dogs. Ranging from chihuahua and Pomeranian all the way to Bernese Mountain Dog and Bull Mastiff. I have a lot of availability and I am flexible with hours and extended times of stay. I have also had in-home cat sitting experiences that have been for a one month period of time (5 year old) and also for a 2 week period of time (Less that 1 years old kitten). I have dog walked and had in-home dog sitting for day and over night also with a medium sized dog who was 8 months old. I also have experience with being a foster pet parent for both dogs and cats through the Lawrence Humane Society, since April 2020. I love walking with dogs, and also light running (jogging) if client permits :) I also love to go on hiking trails and the dog park at Clinton Lake. I have worked also with dog walking/dog sitting with an elder dog with anxiety issues (14 years old). I have dog sat multiple dogs who were blind. One was fully blind (10 years old) and one was partially blind (12 years old). I have also cat sat for a sweet cat who was fully deaf. I have also taken care of a dog with diabetes. With your dog: We would walk within the area and around my neighborhood. And the KU campus is a short enough distance away for a good long walk. My apartment does have secluded areas for pets. I love taking dogs to the dog park but will avoid taking them there if that is what the client wishes. I also will never let a clients dog go off leash. I will not take a clients dog to the dog park at Clinton Lake without asking permission first. If the dog ever gets muddy on these walks I will provide complimentary dog washes :)

I can always trust Savannah to take good care of my dog. She is flexible with drop off and pick up times, great with communication, and my dog can’t get away from me fast enough when we show up to her house. Investing in doggie daycare 3 days a week has been the best thing ever for my dogs mental and physical health. I am so grateful he is happy when he’s staying with her.

Great communication! Repeat visits have made my girl feel a lot more at ease when I get ready to go out of town, because she knows her friends are coming to hang out with her while Im away.

Programa
I am currently a PhD student online at the University of Kansas. I am also a stay-at-home mom to our two year old daughter Eden. My fiancé Justus also helps with the pets in our home. He sometimes comes along to dog walks or drop-in visits if he can. If he is working then Eden accompanies me on dog walks/drop-in visits but has her stroller & is never alone in a clients home. At my own home, Eden is free to walk/play (stay-at-home) throughout the day. Dogs must be good with her & have a meet and greet with her for walks etc beforehand. Sometimes Justus is available to be with Eden so I do walks/drop-ins on my own so that is also an option. In our home, the pets also need to do a meet and greet with Eden as well as our English bulldog Charles! Must get along with both of them :) both are pet lovers! Since I am a stay-home-mom & work from home, my daily and weekly schedule Is flexible and open to do dog walks/drop-in visits/daycare; as well as be able to sit. PLEASE NOTE: I cannot guarantee an exact time, every time. My level of care can occur within 30 min- 1hr up or so, from the time that was requested. A guaranteed set time will not be attainable but ‘around’ the request time is.

I have a fenced in yard and frequently will walk in my neighborhood. If permitted to do so, will do the trail walks and fenced in area at the Clinton Lake dog park. For dog walks, I accommodate to the needs of every client.

We can do walks around the neighborhood. If the client is comfortable there is a dog park I can take the pets to that is located at Clinton Lake here in Lawrence, KS. I am at home fully during the day.
