About: I grew up on a farm, so I’ve always had animals/pets in my life. I’ve owned everything from small dogs to big dogs and cats. I’m a teacher so all pet care will have to be in the evening after school. I typically will finish the school day at 3:30. I own two cats and provide them with safe home environment with plenty of enrichment. I will make sure that your pet is well taken care of and they’ll have a fun time too.

Ashlyn was amazing! She sent pictures to me for each visit, let me know when she arrived and left each time, and what Maui did while she was here. When we got home, we also had a cute snapshot of Maui laying on the counter. Ashlyn went above and beyond, and I highly recommend her!

We booked Erika for drop in visits while we were out of town for 10 days and could not have been more pleased. She stayed in touch by sending messages and pictures and I was able to enjoy our trip more knowing she was there taking care of things. She went above and beyond by getting our very shy dog Sherpa to become her friend. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting peace of mind while they are away.

First time having to use a pet sitter & Rover and Gaby was amazing. I’ve never left my dog with anyone so it was nice that they came over before I left, to make sure he’s familiar with them. Communication was open and clear and I loved the pictures and check ins with the report cards. If I ever have to go out of town again, I’ll definitely be using Gaby in the future.

I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, basic training, and keeping routines consistent. Your pet will be treated like part of my family while you’re away! Your pet will get plenty of attention, playtime, and routine! I treat every pet like my own and prioritize a safe, stress-free environment. I closely follow your instructions for feeding, exercise, and routines to keep things familiar. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident while you’re away!

About: I love dogs and cats like they are my best friends because they are the most loving, loyal creatures I’ve ever met on this planet! They make me so happy always! I have an hour lunch during the week and weekends are usually free! If I commit to watching a dog/cat for several days in a row whether checking in or staying at their home, I make sure they are well taken care of cuz that’s really all that matters. They get all my love and attention! I have a pet friendly house but much rather take care of them at their own home as it’s likely more familiar/comfortable for them and convenient for the pet’s owner.

About: I raised my first dog to a healthy, ripe 17 years of age. My new pup is a rescue and I have helped her become an obedient (mostly), well-mannered good girl. We take walks everyday, even when it’s cold. I have patient and a calm demeanor which I believe most dogs need when interacting with a new person. I work during the day M-F most of the time. I am free in the evenings and on weekends. Currently working part time so my schedule is a bit more open. I have an energetic puppy that loves to run around at the dog park at my apartment complex. I typically crate my dog when I’m not home. Okay with having dogs free at client’s house if that what the pup is most comfortable with.

Your pet will be in good hands — I take it seriously and genuinely enjoy it. I have one of my own that’s stays in a consistent schedule and never forgotten or goes without attention (constant potty breaks included) , have all the free time in the word and have years on years of experience with all pets massive and small obedient or not, your pet will be looked after enjoy the time an my little fur baby loves to keep them company wherever they decide to adventure I have a big gated backyard plenty but enough for multiple dogs to do their own thing including my own free range to sleep jump and lay on furniture including beds and free range to the entire house and back yard,Very used to medicating if needed, crating, training, all an etc whatever special treatment they may need I’ve delt with it all and nothing to difficult to stay or keep up on if needed

About: We love animals! We are a mother/adult son team who will be working together to make your pets feel loved and happy. We recently lost our dog of 16 years and miss having pets around. We have had several dogs and cats of our own over the years and have fostered and placed many more for adoption. We have experience with dogs as small as 4lbs, up to 80lbs, from puppies/kittens to seniors. You will receive frequent updates and pictures throughout the booking, and we are very responsive to texts and calls. My teammate Alex and I are currently working part-time, with alternating schedules, so there is always someone available to care for your pet. We provide frequent updates and pictures, so you never have to wonder what your pet is up to. DROP-IN VISITS: We will listen to and follow your instructions and preferences to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. HOUSE SITTING in your home: We know pets are most comfortable in their own home, so we will listen to and follow your instructions and preferences to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. We are healthy and active and try our best to meet the activity level of your pet. If you would like, we can visit a few times before the booking to ensure your pet is comfortable with us beforehand. With two of us working together, we can provide more frequent check-ins, meaning we can accommodate animals who do not like to be kenneled or left alone. We are able to administer medications. BOARDING in our home: Since we have no pets our own, yours will get all the attention, and no children to bother the senior dogs who just want to relax. We also do not accept more than one family's pets at a time, so no need to worry if your pet will get along with others. We have experience with anxious and reactive dogs as well. We encourage you to visit our home beforehand a few times so your pet is not confused and scared when you leave them for a few days. We have a completely fenced in yard, but dogs are never left out by themselves. With two of us working together, there is hardly a time when your pet will be left alone in the home, meaning we can accommodate animals who do not like to be kenneled. We will listen to and follow your instructions and preferences to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. Cats will have their own room to chill in or can roam the house freely. We are able to administer medications. DOG WALKING: We can discuss your preferences for walking locations and times. Looking forward to hearing from you and providing top quality care for your precious fur children!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Lansing stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lansing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Lansing with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lansing. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
