“Great experience first time using Rover sitting in their home. Lots of pics and updates from Elizabeth!! I felt like our pups were in good hands the whole weekend! Thank you Elizabeth and Christopher 👌👍‼️”

“She took her dog Shelly short notice but she was very good with her I really like her and will use her again before I left the house my dog was already playing with her child and dog no goodbyes for Mom she was having so much fun”

“Xue did a great job of keeping us updated on how our dog was doing. Our dog had some struggles being away from home, but Xue made it work so that we could finish our vacation”

“She has been our go to with our pups! Our dogs come home happy and excited to go back! We know the my are well taken care of when we leave them with Amanda and her family! Thank you so much!”

“Christy is so wonderful! She did a great job with my cats (3 of them). I received updates and never had to wonder how they were doing. Her willingness to meet my cats quirky needs was fantastic. I'll be booking her again!”

“Bandit was so happy and calm when I picked him up. It was very clear he was comfortable and well taken care of! She took him on several walks and sent many pictures. He was a HAPPY BOY!!”

“Deanna is great. She replied in time for updates about my dog. He is usually a very nervous/submissive boy, but she got him confident shortly after dropping him, and her two dogs also helped by playing. Not only she does Rover, but also works for a pet adoption center so she knows what she’s doing and I never felt nervous even when this was Lonzo’s first time with her. Highly recommend her.”

“There are not enough wonderful things I can say about Brittany! She watched our dog for 6 days and I’ve never felt better about leaving our fur baby in her care. Our dog enjoyed playing with her dog Franklin and her kids too! She was exhausted from all the running in the backyard as well. We received daily photo updates on what our dog was up to which was wonderful! I honestly think she had such a great time with Brittany that she didn’t even miss us, haha! I’ll definitely be booking with Brittany again for all future dog sitting needs!”

“Alyssa and her furry fam were wonderful! We received lots of photos and updates regarding our pup's activities. He had so much fun romping with his two new friends. Alyssa will definitely be at the top of our list next time we need a doggy sitter. Thanks Alyssa!”

“When we turn the corner to Helen's home my dog, Maizie starts getting excited. She loves all the attention, love, and play she gets. This is like a second home and they treat her as good as I ever could. I will always use Helen, as long as she is available.”

“Simon had the best time with Rebecca. She sent lots of pictures and updates, to let us know what a fun time he was having. We will definitely be using her for all future trips. She was a absolute joy to work with”

About: Ive taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. My family always had dogs, cats, and even a parrot. I have two dogs of my own now, a cocker spaniel and German shorthair pointer. Both are wonderful with other dogs and look forward to play dates if you need boarding. Animals love me because not only do I love them but I respect them. I respect their space, I pay attention to their body language, and I know when they are uncomfortable. It’s important for someone caring for your animals to have common sense but also be smart around animals to protect themselves, and your animal from other animals. I have experience with big bully breeds, small dogs, large dogs, old dogs, immature energetic dogs, puppies, and even dogs that don’t like other dogs or people. I prefer to care for animals that are good with people and patient with strangers. I will not put your dog in a situation with another animal where it will be harmed, anxious, or uncomfortable. You can trust me to make sure your animals are fed, happy, and healthy while I’m around. I have trained many puppies and understand the many tricks they can do to reach something to chew on. Our animals deserve the same care and attention we give humans (if not more). I’ll happily send you pics while I drop in to visit your babes. I work full time but am able to stop in on my breaks or when you need me to during the day, around my schedule. I am happy to board week days and weekends as needed and as available. I have a large fenced in yard that your dog will enjoy, as well as two pups that love when other dogs come to stay! I can happily crate your dog if needed and will feed them by your instructions. They will be happy, safe, and healthy. It is important that they are good with children as I have two.

“Our dog loved his stay with Kristy and she was great at sending photos each day. He had so much fun with her dogs and got plenty of exercise running around their big yard with them! We would definitely have Louis stay with Kristy again.”

About: I was always around a dog as a child and grew up knowing what they wanted, when to go outside, when to feed them and make sure they were played with. They can be unbelievable friends and I think they keep our lives actively expanding. I like to work part time and do the dog sitting when ever it's needed. It can be a random cases and I'm more welcoming to act on immediate services needed. I male sure the pet doesn't get into anything. For example: The trash can, anything chemical on the floor and make sure before they come over...if dog is being watched from my home. I make sure to clean up vacuum and make sure it's an very clean environment. Only feed them what pet owners advise me to give their dogs.

“Richard was awesome. From the day of our meet and greet I felt very comfortable with him, his wife Serena, and his home environment, and he showed nothing but love and compassion for my puppy. My puppy came home happy and healthy! Our dogs got along great and Richard sent me pictures, video, and we held a couple of Facetime chats. I would absolutely hire Richard again. ”

About: I work as a vet tech at a veterinarian office. I have worked with animals for years. I am able to know when or if something is wrong with your pet to give them the best care while your away. You'll know they are safe and being well cared for. I work at a vet close by. I would love to walk dogs in the morning, at lunch and after work. Im willing to travel to most of the Kansas city and surrounding areas. I have two kids who absolutely love animals and will help them be comfortable and relaxed in a new environment if they board at my house.
“Taylor was great! She made her home super comfy for our two dogs; one of which tends to be very anxious. Taylor put her at ease, which allowed us to enjoy our vacation, knowing our pups were being well loved.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
