“There are no words!! My dog’s age is catching up to him & I know I can trust he’s in great hands here. She always keeps you updated & always sending photos. That’s the comfort you want when you go on a trip without your dog! I can’t thank her enough for all the love given to my boy. She’s reliable, hands on & truly cares.”

“Catherine was amazing! This was our first time leaving Dixie with a sitter so of course I was worried about our gIrl. Catherine was great she eased those fears and welcomed Dixie right in! We received many pictures throughout the week showing her having so much fun! We would definitely use and recommend Catherine do all dog parents!!”

“We had an amazing experience with our pet sitter! They took such wonderful care of our puppy Benny, who needs multiple times a day seizure medication. We felt completely at ease knowing Benny was in great hands and appreciated the messages and updates we got during his stay.”

“Sharon & Glen have been great to work with! Their availability and willingness to care for my fur baby last minute is comforting and makes leaving her easier for our family. In a short period of time, they treat our girl like their own.”
“Dominic and his team at home took great care of Maddie. She came home worn out from all the playing with the other dogs. They have a great yard for outdoor playtime and plenty of beds all around (and a lap or two).”

“Our dog was well cared for and Mackenzie was very accommodating when our travel plans changed. She was also quick to respond with any questions we had and I would highly recommend her!”

“Bandit was so happy and calm when I picked him up. It was very clear he was comfortable and well taken care of! She took him on several walks and sent many pictures. He was a HAPPY BOY!!”

“Rachel is excellent. Communication was quick, consistent, and very detailed. I loved her sweet updates and knowing my lil guy was in good hands. We had a canceled flight that resulted in an unexpected delay in our planned pick up. Rachel was extremely kind and able to accommodate us in our time of need. She is absolutely great!”

“She always takes great care of my fur baby! Her and her family are wonderful. She keeps me updated, and I know my pup feels right at home with her and her family! Ms. Derrika is the best!”

Patty made Tucker right at home and he looked so comfortable and well cared for. We would definitely recommend using her and plan to use her for future trips!”

“Isha and Great took great care of our little dog recently. She came back happy and tired, which means they gave her a lot of love and attention. They also provided updates daily with photos. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog had so much fun at Kristy's house! She went above and beyond with her care. We've been home for almost a week now, and there's evidence that our pooch is downright bored with us.”

“We can’t be happier to have Luna in care of Griffin & Gloria. Luna plays all the time and they make sure I get videos updates every day to see her having fun”

“Angie C is the best. She gave my Bailey the best experience for her first time away from home and me. Angie and her family gave her so much love that Bailey cried when it was time to leave. Angie sent me pictures everyday, even gave her a bath and took her for walks. I recommend her 100%.She was amazing!”

“This was the first time using Tasha. It was a family emergency so there was no time for a meet & greet. This is a dog friendly home. The other dogs there were Gus’ size & he felt immediately safe. I so appreciate that I was able to go out of town with my husband & not stay back with the dog. I would definitely use her again.”
“Kaiya did great and loved the extra attention and buddies to play with. I also really appreciated Kelly's flexibility with our schedule. Would happily book again!”

“I could not have asked for a better sitter for my little chihuahua! Bobbi sent lots of pictures and updates every day for the week he was there. He got to go on walks, spent lots of time in her fenced in yard, and got endless snuggles. We will definitely be visiting her again!”

“This was our 1st time using Bridget. She’s very communicative and her responses very timely. I love that she sent us so many pictures of our Charlie girl. Charlie came home happy & healthy. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Gladstone
This was the second time Addie stayed overnight for a few days with Laurie. Laurie thought up creative ideas to encourage Addie to eat and drink and kept me well-informed with updates and pictures. I appreciate Laurie tailoring her care uniquely to Addie’s specific needs and quirks and value her as Addie’s friend and caregiver.

Riley was the 2nd rover i’ve ever used, and I chose her based off of days and days of research and comparing different sitters i’d feel most comfortable with. I have a very hard time leaving my Baby, and cry at even the idea of having to leave her. This trip was the longest we have ever left her for, and I can’t lie I was dreading it. I was also worried about how baby would get along with her dogs, cruella and Milk bone. My baby is only 2 and is quite annoying to big dogs when playing, and can irritate older dogs so I get really worried about how she will be received and how the other dogs will treat her but after our meet and greet, I felt 1000% better and felt riley was an amazing option for us. Her dogs were patient, kind and got along with baby so quickly and easily, which made me so so happy. Riley also has such a deep knowledge and talent when it comes dog aggression and behavior I felt so comfortable and her and her dogs both helped train baby with basic manners and play behavior so she can take these skills to any dog and make a friend instead of aggravating others. I was so impressed to see her eating as a pack with the other dogs, playing appropriately and listening. baby had so much fun and left with life long skills that we are implementing into our daily routine. I can’t say enough amazing things about riley, we were gone for 7 days and I felt so comfortable and didn’t worry once. she was even flexible when we had flight cancellations and had to extend her stay by an entire day. if you have any concerns or hesitations, just BOOK. she is amazing, so friendly, and so good at what she does. she’s a natural talent at what she does. Thank you riley!!!! I hope we can do another pack walk soon so baby can come and see her friends again :)

Bobbi did a wonderful job taking care of Sailor! She sent videos and/or pictures everyday with an update of how Sailor was doing. Sailor always looked so happy and content in the videos/pictures. Bobbi was so loving and attentive to Sailor’s needs. I will definitely hire her again in the future! Thank you, Bobbi!!!!

This was Toby’s first time being boarded or going into someone else’s care so he was nervous and a bit vocal. She was able to calm him that first day and kept communication open if she had any questions about his insulin or care. Will definitely be booking again if she’s available.

First time client of Taylor’s and she was a fantastic care provider for our pup. Paloma clearly had a great time, was safe and well-cuddled, and was very happy throughout his stay as Taylor’s consistent pictures and updates showed. We look forward to rebooking for future trips moving forward!

We contacted Abigail when we were traveling through the area and needed our pups to have care for two days and 1 night while our family explored. We originally planned to drop them off at a local boarding facility, but thought they’d do better in a quieter environment. Abigail was available for a last minute booking, was super communicative the entire time, sent lots of pictures and updates, was very knowledgeable about our dog breed and dogs in general, had lots of things for them to do at her home and made sure to ask all kinds of questions beforehand so that her home, etc. was set up best for their care. We would definitely use her again if the need arose. Our first experience doing this kind of booking couldn’t have been smoother! Thanks Abigail!

Nathan did a really good job taking care of our husky! We were on a road trip along with another car that had constant issues on the drive back and we had to stop multiple times to help us all get home. Unfortunately, it ended up causing us to get home too late to pick her up. Nathan was very understanding and had no issues extending her stay until the next morning when my husband could pick her up. We greatly appreciated the flexibility and working with us during our unfortunate circumstances!

Adam and Kirsten were absolutely amazing with Bruno! He was already limping before we dropped him off, and they took such great care of him and made sure to keep an eye on him the entire time. They sent lots of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. The best part was picking Bruno up. He came home so happy and in such great spirits. It was obvious he was loved and well cared for. I would 1,000% recommend Adam and Kirsten to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet. We’ll definitely be booking with them again!

Michelle has a big heart for the dogs and spoils them with lots of love and toys. She has 2 adorable dogs of her own. We were happy to know she has a 6ft fence to keep my fence jumper in and safe. Both my dogs seemed happier and more at ease when we picked them up opposed to boarding. We would love for Michelle to watch our kids again sometime. Thanks!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
