“Jack loves Laura and her house. She is friendly and warm and Jack runs into her house to see his friends. I have appreciated using Laura’s services because she is kind and caring to my dog.. I continue to use her above others bc I always feel Jack is safe, loved and cared for!”

“Madelyn and Tevin watched our beautiful baby Dunkin and it was such an outstanding experience. We received daily photos and videos and we received updates on how he was doing, Dunkin had a lot of playtime and had amazing fun in the backyard daily. Madelyn is very caring and loving to our furry baby. I highly recommend Madelyn and Trevon anyone that needs a pet sitter.”

“Hands down best dog sitting experience! We have an energetic 65lb and she was treated like a queen over a 5-day period with lots of exercise and attention. Our family really appreciated the extra TLC and communication. We knew our dog was in very caring hands the whole time!”

“Rhonda was great! My dog absolutely loved her big, fenced yard, and we were happy to get photo and video updates while away on vacation. It's clear she's passionate about dogs, and we'll definitely use her again!!”

About: For 13 years, I owned a company providing pet care for many clients! For the last 8 years, I took care of my parents full time until they passed. I waited until I found the perfect house to turn into doggy paradise! I work for a nonprofit Vet clinic and for 13 years, I have arranged my life around a rescue dog that doesn’t do well staying at home alone! I don’t think it’s fair for pet parents to spend money for their dog to be locked in a cage. My dogs have never had to and yours won’t either! I work from home doing scheduling for a vet clinic 3 days a week. I have designed my life to be at home for my furkids and now yours too! I have a fenced yard am expanding our fence to include .78 acres! This summer, I am adding an all seasons room with dog doors for the pups and a gazebo for the dogs who love being outside to stay cool. I also have a she shed that is being upgraded for dogs that don’t like to share sleeping space with others or need some alone time. Lots of fuzzy beds, people beds with stairs and ramps. I literally bought this house for the dogs!
“Rebecca did an amazing job taking care of Gizmo. She made him completely at home and a part of her family. Gizmo got lots of cuddles - which he loves! Rebecca sent photos during his stay so we could see how well he was getting along. We could relax and enjoy our trip since we we’re confident that Gizmo was so well cared for.”

“Dominic and his team at home took great care of Maddie. She came home worn out from all the playing with the other dogs. They have a great yard for outdoor playtime and plenty of beds all around (and a lap or two).”

About: I’ve kept and rescued animals since a young age, which included tending to any wounds or injuries. My own pets were fosters, and most recently I fostered a lovely pittie who was then adopted. I’m very good with skittish cats, and I have a good understanding of basic dog training techniques. Lastly, I live a street away from a nice park which is good for dog walks. I love all animals, and spending time with them and caring for them is just as good for me as it is for them. I am currently self employed and jobs are few, so I have a very flexible schedule. Most, if not all my time would be dedicated to any pets in my care. I do have two of my own cats, so any dogs would have to be okay with cats in the house. All pets are different, with their own personalities, routines and likes/dislikes. Therefore, I plan to ask for detailed instructions regarding pet care. This can include things like a preference to crate the dog at night, dietary restrictions, favorite activities etc. I am detail oriented and appreciate any information or details owners can provide about their pets so that I may provide the best care possible.
“Alex and Jacquelynne took real good care of our dogs Zuri and Skye. Gave us updates everyday on how they were doing. Appreciated all the pictures and videos.”

“Alyssa was great with my pup! She’s super fast at replying, and sent me plenty of photos during his stay with her. I can tell she genuinely cared about taking the best care of my boy.”

“Ashley has been so great to our Chase! My flight got cancelled and she was very flexible when I picked him up. I got lots of pictures! He has had lots of love and exercise! We will be using Ashley again in the future. Thank you Ashley for giving me peace of mind on my trip!”

“Isha and Great took great care of our little dog recently. She came back happy and tired, which means they gave her a lot of love and attention. They also provided updates daily with photos. Highly recommend!”

“Briah did a great job with my dog. She took him on many walks, showered him with love and kept me updated with pictures and messages. My dog looked happy and well taken care of when I picked him up, and now every time we walk by Briah’s place he wants to go in. It was also very easy to communicate with Briah, I certainly would recommend her to anyone and I am going to book her again.”

About: I have had pets all my life from dogs and cats to gerbils, hamsters and fish. Even as a young child I was primarily responsible for most of the routine daily pet care. I'm a trained CNA with applicable caregiving skills. I also have extensive experience as a shelter volunteer having walked the dog and played with them as well as socializing the cats. I'm currently self employed as a home care aide and wish to take care of animals in between assignments or during days off. I do not have any responsibilities that would interfere with me taking care of your fur babies. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a yard stake. I live in a townhouse with an open grass backyard. I regularly take my dog to The Liberty, MO Stockdale dog park and can take yours there too if that's your preference. If you wish I can walk your dog as many times per day as you prefer. My neighborhood has paved sidewalks and walking paths that I routinely use to walk my dog daily. I have one cat and one dog and each get along with other cats and dogs very well but should there be any unforeseen issue, I can put your pet in my spare bedroom. I also own a wire dog crate for large dogs. I can crate your pet in your home or my home if you wish me to. I will take care of him or her in whichever way you prefer. I do not crate my dog but I did as a puppy to facilitate his potty training. My dog sleeps with me at night as does my cat sometimes. Both are friendly and well socialized but again, I can put either in a spare room or your pet if necessary. Both my pets are up to date on their vaccinations and they get a monthly pill for flea and tick prevention. I can do everything from long or short walks, taking them outside for potty breaks, administering food or medicine, playtime, etc.
“Ashley was simply amazing! She took amazing care of our dogs and she kept sending us pictures while we were out of town to show us all the fun they were having! Highly recommend anyone to use her for dog sitting!”

Trust i will have full attention to your pet and make sure their needs are met.
“Christy is so wonderful! She did a great job with my cats (3 of them). I received updates and never had to wonder how they were doing. Her willingness to meet my cats quirky needs was fantastic. I'll be booking her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Gladstone
Laurie watched our dog for 8 days while we were out of the country. She was very communicative with frequent updates and photos during our time away. Our dog settled in quickly with her which said a lot. She was very attentive to his specific needs and he came home very happy. Thank you, Laurie!

Cindy S. as advertised and beyond. Cindy kept me updated everyday with pictures. Took care of medications and was always responsive. This was the first time my dog was away from the family in a long time and we were very worried. Cindy helped take away that worry. This is a high recommendation for her services. Worth every penny. Thank you Cindy for taking care of our loved one when we could not.

We have used so many dog sitters over the years and Rhonda was the absolute best! She gave our dog so much attention. She sent us videos and pictures showing us he was having the time of his life! She has a huge backyard that he loved to run around in. I will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a safe and fun place for their pup to stay!

It is very clear the love Elizabeth had for our dogs while watching them. She set photo updates and checked in with us on any questions. It stormed while she watched our dogs and she was very tentative to our dog with storm anxiety! I will definitely be asking Elizabeth if she will watch our fur kiddos again!

Abigail was amazing through and through! She communicated with me almost every day sending photos, updates on how our dog was doing and ensured we knew he was well cared for. I was able to truly relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our boy was having an amazing time of his own. Would absolutely recommend - your little one will be treated like a member of the royal family! 🥰

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
