“Jenifer Miller is absolutely excellent! She took wonderful care of my dog, Buster, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She is incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about his needs. From the moment she arrived, it was obvious she treats Buster like he’s her own dog. Jenifer is always prompt, reliable, and professional, giving me complete peace of mind while I’m away. Knowing Buster is with someone who truly loves and cares for him means everything to me. I highly recommend Jenifer to anyone looking for someone who will love and care for their dog just as much as they do. Buster and I are so grateful to have found her, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

“Excellent experience! She took wonderful care of Rubí over the weekend. She was kind, responsible, and kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me great peace of mind. Rubí was happy and well cared for. I highly recommend her, and I would definitely trust her to care for my dog again!”

“Lorissa was awesome, trustworthy & very liable for my last minute requests due to my unpredictable work schedule. She went above & beyond expectations! Will definitely Re-book for her services. She took amazing care of my girls for AM & PM drop-ins for the whole week for my last minute requests! Very grateful for you, you’re definitely 5⭐️🙏🏽”

About: I have been caring for both cats and dogs for 10 years! I grew up with a pitbull, mini poodle, and recently adopted a jack russell, so I am well rounded when it comes to different sizes and temperaments of dogs. I also volunteer at a vivarium and have 4 years of experience when it comes to fish and reptile care if that is something you are interested in! I am very comfortable when it comes to caring for young and senior pets! I currently am a full time student at Sac State, but I have a lot of online course work. This allows me to have plenty of time I can spend with pets. At the latest, I get back from classes at 5-6pm, but many days I am able to arrange my schedule as to where I am only on campus until 1pm or even no classes at all! I also have full weekend availability I am very patient and calm, I have worked with pets who are more wary of strangers in the past, but I make sure they have the opportunity to come to me as they get to know me. I follow instructions very well and however the pet parent tells me to approach their baby is how I do it!

About: I learn super quickly, caring, kind, honest, hardworking, efficient, and love animals and want to work with them more someday! I want a farm too. I am currently unemployed but have worked in the restaurant industry for 3 years. I will go to school twice a week for community college. I love to play with the animals, take them on walks to beautiful parks, and willingly to bath them. Feeding is the more important part.

About: Taking care of animals is passion of mine, so I would love to provide dog walking or drop ins! I started my first dog walking business when I was 10 and currently own 3 cats and 1 dog. I am an online student, so my schedule is very flexible! I accept last minute bookings and am available during the week and on weekends. I provide food and water to my cats and make sure their cat-box is cleaned regularly. My cats are cuddly, so I make sure to spend quality time with them.
About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. I have trained almost all my dogs since they were puppies. I have trained my own service dog. I have a passion for training dogs. I am currently retired, so I have plenty of time to play with and train your pup. I can take them for daily walks around the park as well. I have a fenced yard and a nearby park to take your dog for a walk. I have my own friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I have a cat, but if your dog does not like cats, I can isolate may cat from your dog. My big dog seems to have a way of knowing how to make dogs feel comfortable in our home. He knows when to interact with them and when to just leave them alone. I am retired so I have lots of time to spend with your dog. I try to schedule my activities around when I have dogs, so I can devote all my time to caring for the dogs. I have a fenced in yard. I always supervise dogs when they are outside. I try to set up play dates with a neighbor who also works for Rover. My husband and family members are usually around to play with and take dogs on walks. I am currently transforming my services to focus more on training sessions in my client’s home. My main focus is working with young pups and to start training from day one, although I welcome the opportunity to train dogs of all ages. My goals are to offer support to dog owners on how to properly train desired behaviors in their dogs. I closely monitor all dogs, especially during play. I train the dogs how to play appropriately with each other. I will only crate dogs if it’s for their own safety. The only services I do in a client’s home are training sessions with the client present.

About: Animals have always been my people. 🐾 I've spent over 20 years as a devoted pet owner, including my two wonderful Australian Shepherds. I am so grateful to have had them in my life to love and spoil! Ella and Maddie were well traveled too, even visiting the Grand Canyon and Yosemite! All my friends and family rely on me to take care of their pets and homes while they are away and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Early in my career, I spent five years as a Pet Care Manager at PetSmart, caring daily for all the animals, keeping them healthy and happy until we helped pair them with their forever homes. I'm very experienced with all levels of pet care, including special needs that require medications, injections, complex dietary routines, and reinforcing training. I am ready to handle whatever your pet needs, especially extra play time and cuddles. I am equally obsessed with all dogs and cats, and care for all breeds, sizes, and ages, from puppies and kittens through their senior years. I’m also experienced caring for birds, fish, reptiles, and small pets. 🐱🐰🐠 🐦🦎 I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so your babies get my attention all day! As a longtime Rover client myself, I know exactly what you're looking for when you're searching for the right sitter: someone experienced, trustworthy, and who will treat your animals like their own. That's a promise I take seriously. I'm currently welcoming new clients in the Elk Grove area and would love to meet you and your crew. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! 🐶 🐱 I work remotely and can dedicate most of my time hanging out with your fur babies! I’m able to stay in your home full time. I am child free and currently do not have a dog or cat. Currently, I am able to house sit and only offering boarding in my home on a case by case basis. You let me know what your fur baby needs and I have it handled! They will get my all my attention, cuddles, and play time.

As your dog sitter, you can rest assured that your pup will receive exceptional care, love, and attention tailored just for them. As a fur mom, I understand the importance of feeling confident in your dog sitter. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend! My current role has adaptable scheduling. Between my flexible schedule and my husband working from home; your pup gets double the love and round the-clock-care! I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I have a beautiful park outside my home to take your pup on walks and get active.

About: I have been a pet owner since I entered the world. Most of my experience is with dogs, but I do have two cats. As of now, most of my pet-sitting jobs have been for close family friends. I am just starting on my Rover journey. I am a college student who is looking to help pay for my college expenses. I'm only offering Friday-Sunday right now since I will be working during the week and don't have a flexible schedule. On the weekends, your dogs will have my full attention :) I do not provide care in my own home. I will work with you to ensure that your pet feels safe with me while I am in their space.
“Natalie was amazing! She made me so reassured and comfortable leaving my pup in her care. Followed my directions to the T and gave me daily updates - will most definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Tim was awesome! Came over to my house several times to meet my dogs and took time to understand their routine. On his drop in he kept me updated with what was going on and kept me updated with what was happening! Even sent me a few photos! Would totally recommend him and use him again!”

“Cassie was so accommodating and understanding regarding meeting up before officially agreeing to check in on my dog-son while I was away. Teddy can be skiddish with new people, but he warmed up to her fairly quickly. She did amazing checking in with him throughout the day, walking him and giving him some love. Highly recommended!!!”

About: Aside from having cared for my toy poodle for 12 years until he passed, I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family either during the day or entire vacation. Followed owners’ instructions and gave needed updates on pets’ wellbeing. I’m currently a full time student at community college Monday through Thursday, so while I am capable of being home in between classes, your pets will be able to have my full attention and care Friday through Sunday nights. I have a two story house with a fenced yard for your pets to play. I will abide by whatever instructions required to care for your babies, crate and frequently give potty breaks and walks. Aside from that, I would love to allow them to wander around and lay on the couch.
“Liz is a gem! We would 10/10 recommend her. We were fortunate to find her to care for our two elder cats at a time when they needed extra special attention. One had just started injections, and the other antibiotics. Liz was exceptionally attentive, caring, detail oriented, and meticulous in learning their needs and routine. The cats immediately took a liking to her gentle and positive energy, even in a time of great stress for them - and they were so happy to be near her almost immediately. She provides thoughtful communication and pictures during her visits, and put our anxiety at ease so we could enjoy our time away knowing our fur kids were in such good hands. We are grateful to her for being our sitter and know you will be too.”

Bettina has been our go-to sitter and for a reason! She continues to provide exceptional care and kindness to our pets, including our new fur baby in the family. She has provided care before to my two dogs, Mocha and Bobee, and knows their routine and personalities well. We recently adopted a cat and were in good hands with Bettina as she had a pet cat herself. From checking in on time during the drop in visit to providing pictures and a detailed after visit note, we were able to go out and enjoy the night with the peace of mind knowing they were under Bettina’s care.

Christina did drop in visits for our cat while where we’re gone on vacation. She was very kind and enthusiastic with her daily updates and pictures. She even brought in our trash cans and packages that were delivered while we were gone. She reached out with questions (we encouraged this) and when we got home our cat was happy to see us and our home was exactly like it was when we left. Our old cat sitter (that our cat loved) moved away, so we have been trying to find someone new that she likes for when we travel. We would love to book Christine for our next trip and we highly recommend her to others.

Nicole took wonderful care of my Persian cat Zora with genuine love and attention. She followed all instructions carefully including food changes, litter, water and vacuuming around the litter area. This level of care gave me complete peace of mind while I was on vacation. Nicole is also very communicative and thoughtful. I always knew how each visit went and she was consistently kind and professional. I would happily trust her again!

I'm very thankful to have had Valeria and Clarisse drop in on my cats while I was away. This is my second time booking with them. They sent updates and pictures every time and were easy to communicate with. I felt very safe leaving my cats in their hands. I would book with them again and would definitely recommend to others.

Julie is AMAZING with my cats--she is willing to listen and put in the effort to make your pets comfy with her. Which is great because for some reason my cats always seem to be terrified of humans. Who knows why. Definitely isn't because of my anxiety at alllll.

Yanying did an amazing job of taking care of our cat while we were gone. Mostly we just needed her to check in on the cat once a day and give her pets and play time. Yanying came every evening, gave her treats, played with the laser pointer/toys, and gave her pets. She sent us TONS of pictures of our cat living her best life ever with updates. We even asked Yanying to bring in our trash can for us and she was happy to do it. Very happy with Yanying; would recommend her; will book her again!

Amelie is such a kind amd caring person. She did such a great job taking care of my two kitties and garden while I was on a trip. She was super communicative and kept me in the loop the whole time. I was nervous leaving my kitties and home because I have never left them this long but having Amelie put my mind at ease. I can't recommend her enough!! She is absolutely and angel and wonderful with animals.🥰🥰🥰

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
