About: I have been in the veterinary field for over 32 years and in all those years I’ve also been house sitting and I love it. I currently have my days free and I’m pretty flexible to do check ins and exercise. I’ll also consider doing sleep overs if need be. I watch over the animals as if they are my own. I never leave them unattended outside. I make sure the animals are very comfortable.
About: I grew up with large dogs, rodents, and have owned many scaly friends. I befriend every stray cat I meet and I stop to help whenever I see a dog that's escaped their home and its safe to do so. I also used to ride horses when I lived in the country. Currently I take care of my thumbnail dart frogs and wish for more animal friends. I am currently unemployed but work on developing my own video game at home. When I am employed my jobs are exclusively remote. I like to go on an evening walk and sometimes I will be out of the house for a few hours at a time. Occasionally I might be out for the night but its generally about once a week or less. My home has a fenced yard, an atrium, 3 bedrooms and 2 living spaces. I also have an alarm system that is armed at night. I am happy to let dogs out in the yard and take them on walks. At my clients home I am happy to sit with your pets to keep them company and read a comic book, draw on my tablet, or play a game on my Switch.

“This was our pups first time with Justin and we were so pleased! He took great care of Cooper and was so flexible and sensitive to his needs. Cooper had a blast! We're looking forward to working with Justin again soon!”

“Awesome! V&M are easy going, friendly professionals and all went perfectly. Mutts super happy, house in great shape, excellent pics. Made my partially stressful trip way easier. I'm so happy to find these guys and already planning the next booking!”

“Natalie was amazing! She made me so reassured and comfortable leaving my pup in her care. Followed my directions to the T and gave me daily updates - will most definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

About: I'm new to Rover, but well-experienced in cat care. My home is like a ready-made daycare for the three of them. I'm like that helicopter mom who's always making sure my babies are safe and well cared for, and I will do the same for your pets. In the past, not only have I taken care of my animals, but I have also looked after strays walking through my apartment building. Especially during kitten season, mama cats need help the most. And if the neighbor's cat strays my way, I don't mind giving them a treat and some companionship, too. That's how I am with the furry ones; I'm there for them. And I will look forward to doing the same for your pets if you hire me for drop-in visits. I also want to point out that my services are for cats, but I would be more than happy to tend to your dog the same way if you have one at no additional charge right now. And that includes feedings, replenishing the water bowl, playing with them, administering meds (topical, not injections), and a little grooming. And because this is a DIV, sorry, I won't be doing dog walking. This saves me time in order to make it to my next client. Because I'm new at this, I prefer to do drop-in visits right now. I can do drop-in visits up to six days a week, in the afternoon. Just let me know how many days out of the six you need me. When hired, I will give your pet or pets plenty of play time and TLC. If you have specific instructions, such as how to administer meds, please let me know. I would also like to point out that, because I'm new here at Rover, I don't have any testimonials. Therefore, I'm willing to give you the best service possible and exchange for one.
About: Hello there! I am new to Rover and the Sacramento area, but I am not new to owning and caring for pets. I’ve had dogs and cats more than half my life. Out of the 3 pups I have had in the last 16 years , 2 of them are special needs and doing fabulously because of the attention and care they receive. I currently work part time as a caregiver for a woman who has Alzheimer’s and my two pups come with me for companion care. She adores them and so do I! Let me love your pets the same I do mine and give you some relief knowing they are being taken care of by someone who will love them and take care of them exactly as you would like them to be. I currently work part time but I am free most days and every weekend to help out! I don’t require a ton of notice , but Mon,Wed and Thursday I won’t be available 9am-130pm I cannot care for dogs in my own home. My 5 yo golden is reactive with other dogs unfortunately. But I am more than happy to provide care in your home.
“Lance is always so good with my puggies! They are on the older side, so have more issues than younger dogs. He always accommodates and the dogs have a great time.”

About: I’ve had a passion for animals since I was 10 years old. Growing up, I often brought home stray dogs and cats that needed love, care, and a safe place to stay. I’ve also helped friends, family, and neighbors by caring for their pets while they were out of town or busy with work. I always made sure their pets stayed on their normal feeding, potty, and exercise routines, and I treated every animal as if they were my own. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your furry family members. I’m reliable, responsive, and happy to provide updates while you’re away. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Your pets’ comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. I will follow their daily routine, provide plenty of playtime, exercise, love, and attention, and make sure they feel comfortable while you’re away. If your pet has any special needs, medications, or instructions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to accommodate them. In addition to caring for your pets, I’ll also help keep your home tidy and in order so you can return to a clean, stress-free environment. It would be my pleasure to care for your pets and give you peace of mind while you’re away, knowing they’re in loving and capable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I schedule my day around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they receive the attention they deserve. Whether it’s morning walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or overnight care, I’m committed to keeping your pet on their normal routine. I provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Willow Point. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
