“Amanda was amazing! I felt so relieved knowing that Max was in great hands with her, she was also very knowledgeable about the French Bulldog breed which helped me feel so comfortable in her care. Aside from her care, her vibe is immaculate! Would absolutely book again!”

“Very kind and communicative! Stayed with our pups in a hotel while we went to a family wedding. Felt very confident leaving our semi anxious dogs in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Audrey did an awesome job watching my cats, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. My cats loved Audrey back, as evidenced by pics of them crawling all over Audrey, lol! The litter box was clean, and they were fed and happy when I got home too, just like I was hoping. Audrey was kind and pleasant to be in contact with.”

About: I have 5years working experience with both large and small domestic/captive animals. This, along with my education at UCD, has helped me gain utmost confidence in reading an animal’s body language and behaving in ways they can be comfortable with me. I am a big fan of enrichment, so I am all for anything you’re willing to try for your pet that can get their minds stimulated! I’m detail oriented and skilled at maintaining whatever level of energy your pet needs. I’m currently working full time at a farm animal sanctuary and have the flexibility to walk or drop in on your pup between 6a-11a and from 9p-overnight as needed I have a 1bed apartment and a friendly golden that is trained to be around reactive dogs. I love to visit nearby parks and green belts, so rest assured your pet will have the sniff of a lifetime!

About: We are excellent dog, cat, bird, poultry, reptile, and fish caretakers as we have raised most of these, and a few years ago, we had a thriving Rover business taking care of folks' animal babies. We can take care of medications if your pet needs: We have administered medicine to most of the animals on our list, including oral medication for a rooster and injections for a snake. We have had some experience in training our current dog as a service animal. While we have not had the chance to care for farm animals on our own, we love them and have had experience being around them (horses, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, alpaca). Animals, plants, gardens, farms, and home-care are all in our wheelhouse and are the foundations to our lives. If you are looking to have your fur baby stay with us, we have a large home with a fenced backyard. Our German Shepherd loves to play with other dogs, and we take him and our guests to local dog parks or fenced fields to play ball and or frisbee. We take care of our guests exactly how we want our pup to be taken care of! I work part time remotely and part time I will need to be in the field. What that means is a lot of the time, I will be in the home, hanging with your furry, feathered, or scaly baby, working on my laptop. During the times I need to work outside of the home, my 19 year old daughter (who has been doing Rover with me since she was 11) will give the best care in my place. I have a thriving Airbnb business in my home for over a decade, so I have a ton of experience and mindset on home-care: I treat other folks' pets and homes as well as I treat my own. I make it point to keep my clients connected via photos and updates. If I am providing boarding in my home, our 4 year old German Shepherd will love to play with your pup. If I am providing sitting in your home, then my pup will stay home unless requested for a playmate in your home.
“Esmerilda is a phenomenal cat sitter! I am so grateful for her careful attention to detail and her loving care for our pets. She made our cats comfortable, which meant a lot to us since they are anxious when we are away. I highly recommend booking her!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and spent the past year interning at Front Street Animal Shelter, where I gained hands on experience caring for dogs and learning more about animal behavior, safety, and daily care routines. During my internship, I worked with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, which helped me become patient, attentive, and comfortable handling pets with different needs. I’m passionate about providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I have an extremely flexible schedule. This allows me to be available from mornings through late afternoons on most days, making it easy for me to provide consistent, reliable care for pets. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet in my care. I always follow the owner's instructions closely and make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and secure at all times. My experience at an animal shelter has taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly in different situations, and create a low-stress environment for pets of all personalities. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to build trust with both pets and their owners through reliable, attentive care.
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and my major responsibilities started at about 8 years old. I aided my own senior dog with her health issues as well as my neighbors dog who requires extra medical attention. I am well-versed in dog-breeds and the nature of these animals. I love all dogs and have always been the dog-walker for my neighborhood. I have experience with puppies and am comfortable with large dog breeds. This will most likely be my main job, as I am a university student returning home for the summer. I am super flexible schedule wise and can easily meet any expectations. I have a fenced yard and my own dog who is 10000% dog-friendly. I am used to crate-trained dogs as well as those who may need to be restricted in the house. They will have my full attention no matter the environment to ensure they are well taken care of.
About: I grew up with dogs and would oftentimes feed and walk them. I also helped my friends take care of their pets and pet sat for them as well. I am free anytime Fridays-Sundays and can stop by in the mornings and afternoons before, after, and in between classes. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a little tougher but I can still make them work. I like to spend as much time with them as I can, either sitting with them, playing with them, going out for walks, and feeding them at times instructed by the owners. I also often like to do chores such as sweeping/vacuuming and tidying up spaces in the house.
About: Hi! My name is Tenaya! I grew up around animals and now I have a cat named Gnocchi. I worked as a veterinary assistant for three years, so I'm comfortable with animals of all ages and I'm capable of administering medications. I can also take care of aggressive or anxious dogs, and I’m happy to help reinforce good behavior for pets in training. I also have experience taking care of a range of exotic animals from working at an animal sanctuary. As someone who works from home, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I can usually adjust my work hours to make time for your pet and their needs. I can also generally accept same-day bookings, especially for drop in visits or walks. As someone who has worked with animals for several years, I understand that each pet is unique and may require special care and attention. I really love animals and will do my best to care for your pet as you would!
About: Hi! I have worked in veterinary medicine for over 5 years, I have my bachelor’s degree in animal science from UC Davis, and I plan to go to vet school this year! (trying to save up as much $ as i can!) Im very experienced in animal handling & care. I have worked in ER, general practice, shelter medicine, and even home calls! If your pets have any medical needs (diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc) and require daily oral or injectable medication, Im your girl! Or if they just need a friend to walk them and have a fun afternoon, Im there! I love all animals and would love to answer any questions you may have for me. I look forward to hearing from you and your kiddo soon 🐾🤍 I work full time and usually get off work around 6. My days off are Wednesday & weekends, so I am free all day to hang out with your furry friends! Whatever environmental needs your pet requires I will be there to aid them. Whether thats crate training, mental stimulation, or just a friend to hang out with!
“Jenna takes amazing care of our picky rabbit! She’s an excellent communicator and sends really sweet photos. It’s clear that our rabbit is happy and comfortable around her. We definitely recommend Jenna as a petsitter for other rabbits and small pets!”

“Elizabeth was great for drop-in visits with my cat, Kaylee. She was communicative about how my cat was doing and did her best to make sure she was comfortable (she's skittish around strangers). Will definitely work with her again!”

“Virginia took such great care of our kitty while we were away. She went above and beyond, spending extra time with her and sending photos. I knew our cat was in good hands which gave us peace of mind. Virginia is very conscientious and thoughtful, and I highly recommend her.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,835 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Saxon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saxon. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
