“Achara is the BEST! I had a sitter lined up to watch my pup while I was out of town for my graduation, and the worst happened - 2 minutes before meeting up, the sitter canceled at the last minute. I was leaving for my grad the same day and scrambled to find anyone who was wiling to watch my pup. Achara saved the day! She was flexible, calm, and reassuring. She sent daily pics and updates, and she also works from home, so I didn't have to worry about my pup being cooped up in a crate all day. I HIGHLY recommend booking with Achara. I don't have enough words to express how grateful I am for Achara <3”

“Annie was great with my nervous dog. Annie responded quickly to my messages as we prepared for my dog's stay with her, and sent me pictures while my dog was in her care.”

“What a great team Marie & James made! Our senior pet is an active part of our family. We were so worried he wouldn’t understand our being away on a vacation without him. Upon meeting Marie and James, our Cooper seemed comfortable immediately. Their calm and openly friendly attitude was apparent. True to their word, daily pictures and videos were sent with texts. Their experience with older dogs and administering of medications was a relief. Can’t thank or praise them enough. Super nice people. Thank you! Cooper thanks you as well.”

“Irina is so sweet. She took the time to show us here space which made me comfortable leaving my boys with her for the first time. We got updated photo and messages each day which put us at ease. The boys seem so happy and their normal selves when we picked them up. I will be a returning customer!”

“Super sweet sitter!! She updates often and is very easy to communicate with. Extremely friendly and gives plenty of photos and videos :) Would recommend !!”

“Both were super sweet. Kind energy. My little guy was so happy when I picked him up. So I know I left him in good hands. Received a video of him on a walk and a pic of him lounging while I was away. Super thankful for them! Can't wait to have them watch Roscoe in the future”

“Yifang was able to board Todd on short notice. She was friendly and her place was clean and secured. Todd was relaxed even though it was his first time there, and he had a great stay at her home. Yifang kept me updated with pictures and messages! Five stars for her.”

“I wasn't sure my dog Max would want to come back home after spending time with Mayra and all the beings in her warm and comforting home. Her kind and gentle nature put us all at ease.”

“I was very nervous to leave my two very high energy rescues with anyone overnight for the first time. April answered all my questions upfront and I felt comfortable booking boarding with her. I was not disappointed. I truly believe she loves dogs, knows a lot about them and cared for them as well as can be expected outside of your own home. She was good about responding to my questions quickly and sent me several pictures daily. I will definitely book with April again if I can.”

“Denise was wonderful with my puppy. It was his first time being with a sitter for several days. She took care of him like he was one of her own. I had just the right amount of updates for him each day. I will definitely use her when I need a sitter again. She is great!!”

“Kazue is the caregiver of our dreams ! A caring , pup pampering, diligent communicator. Our pups were excited and relaxed at our meet and greet and returned for their first stay tugging at their leashes to go back . They got daily walks, a nice shaded grassy yard to romp around, and Kazue provided frequent pictures and updates. At the end of their stay our boys were excited to see us, but also stopped to give goodbye kisses to Kazue🥰 as We know they will miss her and be happy to return .”

“We couldn't be any happier with the care that Naiomie gave to our very spoiled fur baby, Colby Jaxx. This was the first time we've left him with someone other than family members. We were a hesitant about leaving him with someone we... or he... didn't know but after meeting Naiomie at drop off made us feel completely relaxed. We got daily pictures and videos of Colby Jaxx which were so awesome to see him interacting with her and the "friends" Colby Jaxx got to meet and play with. Along with the pics and videos, Naiomie would tell specifics about Colby... for example, he would cry a little at bedtime when he couldn't physically see her and she would let me know the different things she was doing to try to help him settle. Even as far as making it so that he could see into her room to know he wasn't alone. I would HIGHLY recommend using Naiomie. I know when we have a need again, she will be the first person we call. THANK YOU NAIOMIE! (p.s. Colby Jaxx misses you and his new friends). :)”

“Kirsten was great!! She was kind and communicative by sending me pics/vids with updates and was very reassuring as it was my first time having my boy away from home. I would definitely trust her to watch him again, 10/10”

“Ceudi and her wonderful family were great sitters for our senior Boxer (11yr). She was attentive to his medical needs (medicine and care) and stubborn habits. She sent daily updates and always responded quickly to our messages. She lives in a nice neighborhood with a large park nearby. We will definitely be reaching out to her for our future sitting needs.”

“Edward had another wonderful stay with Jessie. He gets so excited when he sees her. He’s so much happier staying with her than at a boarding kennel and she takes great care of him.”

“I just got my fur babies back from Anais’s overnight stay. She was so kind and caring to them! They adjusted well, and I was really happy with how she took care of them and kept me in the loop. We’ll definitely recommend her as a sitter again and can confidently recommend her to other fur parents who need pet care.”

“Cindy took wonderful care of Norman! She was very conscientious with his care, communicated well, and sent great pictures. Norman has a difficult temperament sometimes, but Cindy made him comfortable in her home and was able to reliably give him his medication. I would definitely trust her with your pets!”

“Dear Kelly, Thank you for going out of your way to provide the best possible care for our cats, particularly my Siamak. You have left your mark on all of our hearts and we will always support you. I am grateful to have met you.”
About: I love animals very much and as a result, have much experience with them. I had a dog for 10 years that I fully trained from the age of 8 weeks, so I am very comfortable with puppies. Additionally, I have dog-sat senior dogs many times, for multiple days. I am a student at UC Davis currently, with class only a couple of times per day. I have a car as well so I am easily able to visit your pet multiple times throughout the day. I have no classes on Fridays or the weekends so I am usually fully free on those days. How you and your dog's usual schedule is, is what I will try my best to replicate for your pup. For example, if the dog needs to be fed or let out at a certain time, I will make sure it happens.
“Carmen was just the person we needed to give us peace of mind knowing our cat was cared for while we were away for the week. She followed instructions provided, asked follow up questions for clarification when needed, and showed great patience as our cat was quite shy for the first few days.”

“Very kind and communicative! Stayed with our pups in a hotel while we went to a family wedding. Felt very confident leaving our semi anxious dogs in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Mel is awesome! Very professional, easy to get along with, great communication, reliable and absolutely great with our dogs! Frank (our large male pitbull mix) and Becky (our medium female bulldog) both adored Mel from the first moment they met her. She is very much Frank and Becky approved! Mel's done a great job taking care of our pups, she's a fantastic pet professional, and we highly recommend her services!”

About: Ever since I was a little kid, I'd always wanted to get a kitten, so that's what I did as soon as I got my first apartment! In addition to caring for my own two furbabies, I have experience with caring for cats through petsitting and family members' cats.

“You can tell Reginay loves animals. She is very patient and works with your pet to make sure they are comfortable. Very communicative and will send pictures and videos throughout the day. Toni loves his stays there. 🥰”

“Juliana was so patient and caring not only with our girls, but with us as first time Rover users. Her details on the visits along with all of the adorable pictures helped to comfort us and remind us that our kitties were well taken care of. She was open to our tips along the way and was comfortable giving topical meds. I can’t recommend her services enough!”

“Frankee come home happy and tired! Annie was kind and responsive and available for a last minute request. There were other dogs at Annie’s house so Frankee had plenty of opportunities for play.”

“April and her family were so good to Penny! She sent pictures and kept me updated, so I could relax knowing Penny was being given so much love and attention! I will absolutely use April again!!”

About: I grew up with large dogs, rodents, and have owned many scaly friends. I befriend every stray cat I meet and I stop to help whenever I see a dog that's escaped their home and its safe to do so. I also used to ride horses when I lived in the country. Currently I take care of my thumbnail dart frogs and wish for more animal friends. I am currently unemployed but work on developing my own video game at home. When I am employed my jobs are exclusively remote. I like to go on an evening walk and sometimes I will be out of the house for a few hours at a time. Occasionally I might be out for the night but its generally about once a week or less. My home has a fenced yard, an atrium, 3 bedrooms and 2 living spaces. I also have an alarm system that is armed at night. I am happy to let dogs out in the yard and take them on walks. At my clients home I am happy to sit with your pets to keep them company and read a comic book, draw on my tablet, or play a game on my Switch.
“My dog's new best friend! Each time we pick her up from daycare my dog is so relaxed and chill. Alexandra is amazingly sweet and gentle with our dog, I was immediately at ease with leaving her under her care.”

“Annie is amazing!! She is so sweet and kind and gives my little guy all the love and attention he needs!! She watches my dog while I’m at work daily and I love that he gets to meet other dogs while there! She sends me updates and photos everyday and I just know he is having the time of his life!! If you are nervous or anxious about leaving your dog to go on vacation/ or to work, contact Annie for pet sitting, she is the best!!”

“I couldn't ask for more from a dog sitter. Marcie followed my instructions, provided a comfortable environment with positive stimulation, kept me updated with messages/pics and was just an overall pleasant person. Wonderful job!”

“Krystal and Doug provided a clean, home enviromant for our dogs. They treated our 2 dogs like their own. We brought 2 large~medium size dogs for them to watch. Our dogs sniffed around a little and fit right in shortly after they arrived. They walked our dogs and played with them a lot. From the picture they sent us, our dogs looked comfortable and relaxed. They got plenty of walking and play with their family and their pet Olive. I would not hesitate to send my dogs there again.”
“She was very patient and flexible with my ever changing plans due to weather and my commitments to be at a friend’s bday. I was not able to drop my dog off , but she was more willing to take my smaller dog in and cage him in a quiet room so he would feel safe. She also agreed to take him out for a walk. Due to the weather the same day we confirmed, but on the way cancelled and paid for the day care as this is her livelihood. We could have asked to cancel, but that is not what good pet parents do. They make sure people like Mrs. Achara are taken care of as well. I will use her in the future when we are in West Sacramento. Our dog is almost 15 and she was committed to taking care of him in the way we felt was best for him.”

“Minhhan was the best Rover person I could have asked for with my Frenchie! She is so responsible, diligent and loving with my pup! I will definitely use her again and again whenever I need her support for my pup!”

“My dog Leo seemed very happy when I picked him up. Aida was reassuring and helpful for a convenient delivery and pick up. We left him for the day while attending a Davis graduation from out of town.”

“I last minute needed a dog walker during my sit due to work obligations, and Quinn responded incredibly fast and came through right away. She relieved so much stress for me and was such a huge help. I’m so grateful, and she was absolutely incredible with Marshall too!”
About: I have experience caring for both dogs and cats. Growing up, I helped care for my family’s Golden Retriever, which gave me experience with feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, and providing daily care. I currently own a cat of my own, so I am very familiar with feeding schedules, litter box cleaning, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel comfortable and loved. I am comfortable with all aspects of pet care, including feeding, walking, playtime, cleaning up after pets, giving updates to owners, and following specific care instructions. I understand that every pet has unique needs and I always strive to provide a safe, reliable, and caring experience. I currently work part-time at an ice cream shop, but I have flexible availability throughout the week. I am generally more available during the daytime on weekdays and can provide drop-in visits on both weekdays and weekends. I always communicate my availability in advance and only accept bookings that I can fully commit to, ensuring your pet receives reliable and attentive care. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow the owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special care needs. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and plenty of attention and playtime. I treat every home with respect and provide photo and message updates so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. As a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for your pet.
“Carmen has been a terrific dog walker for our two hounds. They were practically smiling in the photos she’d send us each day. 5 stars and would definitely recommend to anyone in the Davis area looking for assistance with their pets.”

“Faith walked my dog for a week when I was busy with work and she was great. She’s one of those people who dogs just love. She was always on time and went the extra mile to make sure the water bowl was full before leaving. 10/10 would recommend.”
About: I’ve always loved animals of all kinds. Insects, reptiles, rats, especially cats and dogs. I’ve also volunteered at the ASPCA for a year! I have experience with almost all animals, and I’d love to help take care of yours! I take care of two pets of my own, but currently don’t have a stable job. My days are open! Might as well do what I love and get payed for it. XD I have a calm smaller dog, and a cat who LOVES dogs (she’s strange I know). I live right next to a huge park and walking trail.
About: I have cared for a wide range of animals since my childhood on a small family farm. I have bottle fed kittens to goats, trained puppies to ducks, and cared for little piglets to senior dogs. I also have some experience with medical procedures with dogs and cats, to farm animals. Experience with cats with diabetes, pets with blindness, deafness, and immobility. I enjoy caring for animals of all shapes and sizes and good care and enrichment is always my top priority! I like to check on my animals and animals I’m caring for a minimum of 3 times a day for 30 minutes each. With cats I like to spend time playing, setting up enrichment activities, and learning how they are most comfortable. With dogs I like to do a minimum of 3 walks a day followed by some of their favorite activities. I believe pets should be checked on morning, afternoon and evening at minimum. I like to follow the routine of the pets parents to a T so as to not disturb the pets while their families are gone. I think having a routine is important for a pet especially when their people/family are gone.

About: Hello, I have always been an animal lover since visiting my Grandma's farm as a kid. My first job for that I held for 4 years in High School was at a Vet hospital, where I fed, cleaned, walked, cared for and groomed the boarding dogs and cats. As an adult, I have loved animal watching/walking for friends and family. As a volunteer, I fed and cleaned the farm animals at a non-profit ranch for autistic children. I work full time in the medical field and enjoy being active so I am excited to get outside for walks and visit your pets on my days off. I am no able to own pets where I live, so I would love to be able to care for yours. Thank You, Megan I am available multiple days a week to walk and drop-in care for pets. My work schedule changes each week but I am able to scheduled services a week in advance. I would care for a pet at a client's home. I do not have a yard but would be happy to travel to the pet's home to socialize and make sure that they are feeling safe and comfortable.

About: We are excellent dog, cat, bird, poultry, reptile, and fish caretakers as we have raised most of these, and a few years ago, we had a thriving Rover business taking care of folks' animal babies. We can take care of medications if your pet needs: We have administered medicine to most of the animals on our list, including oral medication for a rooster and injections for a snake. We have had some experience in training our current dog as a service animal. While we have not had the chance to care for farm animals on our own, we love them and have had experience being around them (horses, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, alpaca). Animals, plants, gardens, farms, and home-care are all in our wheelhouse and are the foundations to our lives. If you are looking to have your fur baby stay with us, we have a large home with a fenced backyard. Our German Shepherd loves to play with other dogs, and we take him and our guests to local dog parks or fenced fields to play ball and or frisbee. We take care of our guests exactly how we want our pup to be taken care of! I work part time remotely and part time I will need to be in the field. What that means is a lot of the time, I will be in the home, hanging with your furry, feathered, or scaly baby, working on my laptop. During the times I need to work outside of the home, my 19 year old daughter (who has been doing Rover with me since she was 11) will give the best care in my place. I have a thriving Airbnb business in my home for over a decade, so I have a ton of experience and mindset on home-care: I treat other folks' pets and homes as well as I treat my own. I make it point to keep my clients connected via photos and updates. If I am providing boarding in my home, our 4 year old German Shepherd will love to play with your pup. If I am providing sitting in your home, then my pup will stay home unless requested for a playmate in your home.
“Esmerilda has been great. She’s one of my regulars and I would highly recommend her. Energetic, great personality and great w animals esp my “special needs” Bow:)!”

About: I have been a dog lover ever since I was young and I got my first dog when I was 7. I took care of him until he left me. I feel like all animals around me are my best friends. I also volunteered in a non governmental organization in the Philippines to help out with animals who are in need and needs love and attention. Interned in a pet clinic which taught me how to prepare their medicine and inject them in their IV lines If only I could adopt all those animals who need a home I would rush to any animal shelter and provide everything they need. I think that’s what makes me different from other sitters and walkers because in the future I want to be a veterinarian and save animals. It has been my dream to help these lovely creatures. I’m currently a full time veterinary assistant who works Monday to Friday. I have an hour lunch so if its close or they are staying with me, I can swing by and check in on them. During weekends, I am available. I provide a safe environment by dog/cat proofing my place. I am very particular about making sure they don’t get into absolutely anything. These pets are treated like my own. Under my watch, they are treated the best care they possibly can get.
About: I'm a very responsible and fun loving dog mom to my own senior Maltese. Other owners say bringing their dogs to stay with me is like going to Club Med. Looking to spend quality time with my senior dog and other babies as much as I am able to. I would care for your dogs as much as I care for my own. I have a fenced yard and parks in the area. This is a very dog friendly community. Regular potty breaks and walks are the norm for my house.
About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, some reptiles, and the occasional horse for over 15 years. I’m observant and will readily communicate any concerns regarding pets’ health and/or behavior. I’ve been to get even shy pets engaged and even “chatting” with me :) I’m an instructor and graduate student at UC Davis. I work part-time and prefer to work with animals as a side gig :) I have pretty open availability, outside of the afternoons that I am teaching. While I do not offer boarding due to my own cats’ needs, I am happy to come to your home and carefully follow entry instructions. I am active and love walks and playtime with your pets, and love to give cuddles and pets as well.
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and my major responsibilities started at about 8 years old. I aided my own senior dog with her health issues as well as my neighbors dog who requires extra medical attention. I am well-versed in dog-breeds and the nature of these animals. I love all dogs and have always been the dog-walker for my neighborhood. I have experience with puppies and am comfortable with large dog breeds. This will most likely be my main job, as I am a university student returning home for the summer. I am super flexible schedule wise and can easily meet any expectations. I have a fenced yard and my own dog who is 10000% dog-friendly. I am used to crate-trained dogs as well as those who may need to be restricted in the house. They will have my full attention no matter the environment to ensure they are well taken care of.

About: I’m a pet sitter who specializes in cats and reptiles (I have a crested gecko myself), but am open to any pets. I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of varying sizes and ages, and, through my consistency and responsibility, am trusted by friends and family to take care of their pets. I’m a recent graduate taking time off, so I have an open schedule to take care of your pets. I have a car and can reliably travel to your house. My top priority is ensuring your pets are safe and maintaining the trust of my clients. When in my clients home, I treat it with respect and ensure that your pets have a safe and fun time while you are away! I always like to send lots of updates and pictures of your pets.
About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.
About: I have taken care of pets for family and friends and my own as well. I have bathed, fed, walked, played and gave medication to pets. Full time SAHM so much free time to care for your furry pets. Please take me into consideration, I am very excited to be able to get to know every fur baby stay inside unless needed to be walked or go play. Each furry friend is watched carefully.

“We were initially apprehensive about trying a new sitter for our dog, Teddy, who has separation anxiety and thrives on human companionship. However, Marcy immediately put our worries to rest. From the initial meet and greet to the day stays, she proved to be exceptionally caring and understanding of Teddy's needs. Entrusting Marcy with Teddy during our 15-day trip to Italy was a decision we are incredibly grateful for. Her communication was top-notch, striking the perfect balance between keeping us informed and respecting our time. The photos and updates she shared were reassuring and heartwarming, allowing us to enjoy our trip knowing Teddy was in loving hands. Marcy's attention to detail and genuine affection for Teddy shone through every interaction. Additionally, her conscientious approach to introducing Teddy to other dogs was particularly impressive. Marcy's skill in managing dogs' interactions and respecting their individual personalities ensured a comfortable and safe environment for Teddy. This level of care and understanding was a significant factor in our decision to choose Marcy for our future dog sitting needs. We wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a compassionate, attentive, and skilled sitter.”

“Marilee took great care of our babies while we were on vacation! She sent daily updates with photos and videos, and our pups were cuddled up with them in so many so we knew they were feeling loved!”

About: I am experienced with caring for all kinds of dogs. I have access to many dog parks and walk them up to 5 times a day. I adapt to the pet’s needs to give them the best care. I have a golden retriever (6 mo.) and a labradoodle (10 yrs). My golden (Sunny) is super friendly and loves to make friends! I ensure that your pet’s needs are met and they have the highest form of care. I’m a junior at the University of California, Davis. I have a flexible schedule with my course work that allows me to be fully engaged with the dogs in my care. I live in a gated community so pets can’t easily get out. I take my puppy on long walks at the Davis Arboretum and have a dog park where I live which ensures they are getting their exercise and playtime. My apartment is clean for health safety. If I am staying at the owner’s home, I will apply the owner’s directions.
About: I’ve been caring for pets and homes for more than 25 years, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and reptiles, and have spent years caring for pets for friends, family, and through TrustedHousesitters. Earlier in my career, I worked at a veterinary office, which gave me hands-on experience with animal care. I’ve also volunteered with Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue, helping with transportation, fostering dogs in need, and walking dogs at the rescue. That’s actually where I met and eventually adopted my own Golden Retriever and Mini Goldendoodle! My family has been active on TrustedHousesitters for the past two years, both as pet owners and sitters. Being on the other side of the experience has given us a real appreciation for how important it is to find someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring to look after your pets. We love giving that same peace of mind to other pet parents. I work full-time, but spending time with animals is one of my favorite things to do in my free time. Whether it’s going for a walk, playing, giving belly rubs, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. ❤️ I work from home most days so am open to taking care of pets in the morning, lunch time, and in the evenings. I am available on weekends with a 1 week notice. I can also stay at your house and work remotely if you require someone to be with your pets throughout the day. I care for every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, and care. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I do not like kenneling dogs so unless this is a request of yours, your dog(s) will not be kenneled. They will have full roam of my house and will have access 24/7 to the backyard via the doggy door.
“Marya sent pictures often showing both dogs having a good time and playing. Our daughter picked them up and said the dogs were happy and taking a walk. Thanks Marya for taking great care of the pups. They will see you in a few days.”
