“Colina was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond caring for our pup. She took the time to locate his leash, made sure he got a good walk, and ensured he had a chance to go to the bathroom. We really appreciated her attentiveness and care, and would absolutely trust her with our dog again.”

About: I have been caring for both cats and dogs for 10 years! I grew up with a pitbull, mini poodle, and recently adopted a jack russell, so I am well rounded when it comes to different sizes and temperaments of dogs. I also volunteer at a vivarium and have 4 years of experience when it comes to fish and reptile care if that is something you are interested in! I am very comfortable when it comes to caring for young and senior pets! I currently am a full time student at Sac State, but I have a lot of online course work. This allows me to have plenty of time I can spend with pets. At the latest, I get back from classes at 5-6pm, but many days I am able to arrange my schedule as to where I am only on campus until 1pm or even no classes at all! I also have full weekend availability I am very patient and calm, I have worked with pets who are more wary of strangers in the past, but I make sure they have the opportunity to come to me as they get to know me. I follow instructions very well and however the pet parent tells me to approach their baby is how I do it!
“Noel checked on our Maltipoo puppy Cinnamon while we were at work, ensuring she had all her essentials, a potty break, and fun play time. We loved receiving her detailed visit reports with cute photos of Cinnamon, plus specifics on whether she peed, pooped, drank water, and more. Cinnamon bonded with her instantly and it helps that Noel is getting dog trainer training. Cinnamon can be a bit fearful of strangers so Noel’s experience was helpful.”
“Amy was great! We felt so reassured that our kitty was getting the attention she needed while we were gone. I appreciated the daily photo updates and could tell she took great care of our girl.”

“Thank you so much for taking care of the babies while we were out of town! They always look happy to see you and we we always come home to the pets well fed and home tidy.”

About: I have been a proud parent to many labs. Few dogs can match their energy. I look forward to loving your pups like I love mine! I work a hybrid schedule and am typically available, throughout the day, 5+ days a week (including weekends). I am an avid walker and used to walking multiple miles a day with my dog. My availability is relatively well planned out, so if you request a sitting in advance, I can always let you know if I will be available. I love all of my pets as if they were my children. I love dogs and cats more than anything. I have two lovely cats and have had two magnificent labs in the past. There are few dogs that can throw more at you than a lab, so I'm sure I can handle your pup!
“Patrick did a great job taking care of our dog and our cat for drop-in visits while we were away. He was kind and attentive. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to others.”

“Firstly, Pedro was very quick with his response and confirmation of availability. I had to leave Sacramento due to a family issue and he confirmed the appointment even though I requested it at the last minute. He followed all the instructions I left written on my door. My dog eats a natural diet along with kibble, and he prepared everything as I asked. He took her to potty in the correct area and left everything clean.”

About: I have always had a kinship with animals. They do communicate and I listen. I had my first cat at age 5. From there, it was cats, dogs, birds and even a horse for me. As an adult, I have also had a rabbit. I work remotely full time. I prefer to also house sit and have a place to work. For dogs, I do a short walk in the morning and long one after work. On breaks , I check in with the needs of the animal. I make sure the needs of the animal is met. Not just food and water but attention. Do they need love or play time? I will be sure to know the current routine so we folllow it for stability.
“We’ve only had MacKenzie do two drop‑in visits so far, but she has already earned our trust. She’s been perfectly on time, patient, and incredibly composed while handling our three rambunctious pups — and they are not easy with new people walking into house alone.”

About: Being a dog mom myself has taught me how different every pup can be. Some want to play nonstop, some prefer to stay close to you, and others need a little time to feel comfortable in a new environment. I’m patient and attentive to those differences. I pay attention to body language, energy levels, eating habits, potty routines, and overall behavior so I can recognize when a pup is happy, needs a break, or needs a little extra reassurance. I want every dog staying with me to feel seen, understood, and cared for. ❤️ The Care I Provide Your pup’s stay is more than simply having someone watch them. I want them to have a fun, comfortable experience while maintaining the routines they’re used to. I can provide: * 🐾 Plenty of love, attention & companionship * 🏃 Daily exercise and supervised play * 🌳 Safe outdoor time in our fenced yard * 💤 Quiet time and opportunities to rest * 💊 Oral medication administration * 🐶 Experience with senior dogs * 📸 Regular photo & message updates * ❤️ Personalized care based on your pup’s personality and routine * 🐶 Socialization with your own dogs * 🧸 Lots of play/enrichment * ❤️ Individual attention * 🛏️ A comfortable home environment * 🐾 Experience handling multiple dogs * 💬 Consistent communication with owners ⭐ Why Choose Me? Your dog isn’t just a booking. They’re a guest in our home. 🏡 I take pride in creating a clean, safe, loving environment where pups can be themselves while their families are away. I’m attentive to the little things, communicate consistently, and genuinely enjoy getting to know every dog that stays with us. And because I love building relationships with both pups and their families, repeat guests are especially special to me. 🐾❤️ Hi! I’m Naiomie, and I’m a loving, responsible dog mom who truly understands how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. ❤️ When your pup stays with me, they’re treated like part of the family. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can relax, play, get plenty of attention, and feel right at home. I enjoy getting to know each pup’s unique personality, routine, and preferences so I can provide care that’s personalized to them. Whether your dog is playful and energetic, a professional cuddler, or needs a little extra patience and reassurance, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, including senior dogs. I’m also comfortable administering oral medications and making sure each pup’s individual needs are followed carefully. I understand that leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, which is why communication is very important to me. I love keeping pet parents updated with photos, messages, and little moments from their pup’s stay so you can relax knowing they’re happy and well cared for. 🐶💕 I’m flexible with advance notice and do my best to accommodate each family’s needs. My goal is simple: for your pup to feel loved, safe, and completely at home while you’re away. ❤️ I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I have a beautiful park outside my home to take your pup on walks and get active.
About: Aside from having cared for my toy poodle for 12 years until he passed, I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family either during the day or entire vacation. Followed owners’ instructions and gave needed updates on pets’ wellbeing. I’m currently a full time student at community college Monday through Thursday, so while I am capable of being home in between classes, your pets will be able to have my full attention and care Friday through Sunday nights. I have a two story house with a fenced yard for your pets to play. I will abide by whatever instructions required to care for your babies, crate and frequently give potty breaks and walks. Aside from that, I would love to allow them to wander around and lay on the couch.
About: I've been housesitting since 2010, mainly cats and dogs. Multi-pet houses don't bother me and I'm good at keeping with your fur kids' schedules. I have and RVT license that is current and have been an RVT for over 10 years. I took a break from housesitting to work at animal hospitals, including a 24-hour critical care hospital in the ICU. Medications and medical treatments are no problem for me. I have an open schedule and am comfortable with either staying at your home for your pet's comfort, or I can visit everyday to make sure they are cared for. I adjust to their wants and needs and stick to their schedule. I'm low stress and understand that sometimes pets just need to warm up to you. As for my personal pets, there's four cats with totally different personalities that run the house (I just live there).
“Carmen did a great job of checking in with me when she got to my apartment and letting me know when she was leaving. I came home a few hours later and my puppy seemed happy due to Carmen playing with her.”
About: Anytime my friends or family go out of town , they rely on me. I have been taking care of animals for over a decade... I have a dog I take care of. If you need me to come for the day, I will or I can come overnight, whatever the need. I will come to you in their environment. I can come over and walk them, or I can stay for a short or long period.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Elk Grove
Bettina has been our go-to sitter and for a reason! She continues to provide exceptional care and kindness to our pets, including our new fur baby in the family. She has provided care before to my two dogs, Mocha and Bobee, and knows their routine and personalities well. We recently adopted a cat and were in good hands with Bettina as she had a pet cat herself. From checking in on time during the drop in visit to providing pictures and a detailed after visit note, we were able to go out and enjoy the night with the peace of mind knowing they were under Bettina’s care.

Christina did drop in visits for our cat while where we’re gone on vacation. She was very kind and enthusiastic with her daily updates and pictures. She even brought in our trash cans and packages that were delivered while we were gone. She reached out with questions (we encouraged this) and when we got home our cat was happy to see us and our home was exactly like it was when we left. Our old cat sitter (that our cat loved) moved away, so we have been trying to find someone new that she likes for when we travel. We would love to book Christine for our next trip and we highly recommend her to others.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
