Vicente & Victor were very friendly and very quick on communication. Brandi is pretty picky on who she just goes up to and appears pretty comfortable around them. I was pretty nervous since I've only left her with family and friends she knew but they made me feel comfortable and safe having them take her...btw, this is the first time I e ever used a service like this. I'll be continuing our relationship and look forward to the upcoming meetings ..thx guys ?

About: I love animals and being able to assist people. I had two cotton de tulears growing up and have watched and cared for my friends chihuahua whenever she vacations. I am working a part time job with flexible hours and sometimes I also do work remotely so I can work with your schedule as much as time allows and with knowledge ahead of time. The way that I take care of houses and pets is the same because I do both based off of your instruction. I know that routine is important and I think where I really strive is listening to your wishes and communicating.

About: With over 40 years of experience caring for animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am experienced with puppies, senior pets, medications, basic first aid, and I pride myself on being dependable, loving, patient, and attentive. My home offers a fully fenced yard, locked gate, covered patio, and dog door access for a safe and comfortable stay. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, daycare, or overnight care, they’ll be loved, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I walk every morning. I work from home during the week, taking breaks throughout the day. Thankfully my schedule is flexible and many times I like to add in an evening walk as well, weather permitting. My goal is for every pet to feel comfortable and secure, and for every owner to have peace of mind knowing their pet is in trusted hands.

About: Hello, fellow pet lovers! I'm Carrie. I've been living in a great community in Elk Grove, CA for over 16 years. My family lives in a single house with a moderate size and secured fenced backyard. For dog boarding, the doggies have a dedicated spaces in my TV room so that I can always accompany with and take care of them. My TV room has a sliding door and make the doggies easier to play outside in a safe and fenced backyard for every 2 hours. Playing at my backyard is always the best for dog boarding than walking outside in an unfamiliar environment. I'm here to ensure your pets have a loving, safe & comfortable environment while you enjoy a weekend getaway or take care of those long-overdue errands. With over 20 years of combined pet experience, including caring for my own two dogs (one currently living with us), I genuinely adore meeting new furry friends and connecting with our neighbors. Whether it's a quick walk or several days of care, I've built a reputation for being reliable and loving pet sitters. Living just a stone's throw from a beautiful CSD run community park means your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air and exercise. Plus, I live in a single house with a great securely fenced backyard offers a safe space for them to play and do their business. I also provide check-in services to your furry family members at home if they feel more comfortable that way! I can't wait to meet your beloved pet and provide them with the same care and affection I give our own. Feel free to reach out to me for any questions or concerns!!– I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I'm a home maker which means I can and will dedicate our full attention 24/7 to looking after your pets, ensuring they receive all the love and care they need. For pets that need to be taken out or checked up on, I can do that as well with no pets will be left behind! I live in a single house with a securely fenced backyard where your pets can roam freely and safely, along with indoor gates to keep them out of places they shouldn't be. Upon request, I also have leashes for fun park walks and cozy crates for those much-needed naps.

About: Before you read my bio, please note that I value communication, and it’s extremely important for me, especially when you're trying to book me as a dog sitter. I’m Lauren :) ʚ₍ᐢ.  ̫.ᐢ₎ɞ a at-home veterinary student with a spacious, non-smoking home and a great backyard. Since I study from home, pets get lots of attention and care throughout the day. About: I've been housesitting since 2010, mainly cats and dogs. Multi-pet houses don't bother me and I'm good at keeping with your fur kids' schedules. I have and RVT license that is current and have been an RVT for over 10 years. I took a break from housesitting to work at animal hospitals, including a 24-hour critical care hospital in the ICU. Medications and medical treatments are no problem for me. I have an open schedule and am comfortable with either staying at your home for your pet's comfort, or I can visit everyday to make sure they are cared for. I adjust to their wants and needs and stick to their schedule. I'm low stress and understand that sometimes pets just need to warm up to you. As for my personal pets, there's four cats with totally different personalities that run the house (I just live there).

About: My ultimate goal and promise is to provide the safety and love for your pets as if you were still home. I know how worrisome it may be while you're at work or on vacation to wonder how your pet is doing and if they're receiving the care they deserve and i'm here to eliminate all worries. I have grown up and owned many animals ranging from dogs, cats, fish, turtles, and hamsters. I can confidently go on long walks or even be a cuddle buddy. Working part time on the weekends, I have almost my whole day during the week to take care of your fur babies. A bonus to the sad fact I don't currently have any pets of my own at the moment, my home and large backyard is free for your pet's comfortability. I grew up training my dog in 4-H and have raised puppies as well as kittens. I work part time on the weekends so I am free during the week to care for your pets if you are at work or on vacation. I have a fenced backyard and no other pets in my home. I will care for and clean up after your pet whether they are in your home or mine. I live walkable distance to parks and dog parks.

About: With my combination of animal care knowledge, effective communication, patience, reliability, time management, love for physical fitness, and attention to detail, I will ensure the well-being of the pets I care for and provide peace of mind to pet owners. I am currently a nursing student and I work part time at my local grocery store! I go on walks almost everyday and would love to have a dog with me. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, and I plan my schedule to prioritize the pets I’m responsible for. I allocate specific times for walks, feeding, play, and any other needs, ensuring consistency and reliability. I’m flexible with my time to accommodate different schedules, such as early morning walks or evening check-ins, depending on what works best for the pet and their owner. I live in close vicinity and I am able to walk with your dog when needed. I can purchase additional materials such as a portable water bowl and leash if needed! When walking pets, their safety and enjoyment are my top priorities. I use secure harnesses or leashes that fit well to ensure they are comfortable and safe during our walk. I pay close attention to their behavior and energy levels, adjusting the pace and duration of the walk to suit their needs. For energetic dogs, I provide more active walks, incorporating play like fetch if appropriate, while for older or calmer dogs, I keep the walk slower and more relaxed. I always stay aware of the environment, avoiding hazards like hot pavement, harmful plants, or interactions with unfamiliar animals unless the owner approves. I also carry water, waste bags, and treats to ensure their comfort and cleanliness. Additionally, I watch for signs of fatigue or distress to make sure they’re feeling happy and healthy throughout the walk.

About: With 15+ years working in animal welfare and shelter environments, I bring professional-level care to every pet I work with; from neonatal fosters to senior dogs managing complex medical needs. I'm trained in fear-free handling and modern animal behavior, and I hold a degree in Humane Leadership focused on animal welfare. I can administer both oral and injected medications, which makes me a trusted choice for pets with diabetes, allergies, epilepsy, or ongoing medical protocols. I've cared for animals of every age, size, breed, and temperament — including high-energy large breeds, anxious rescues, and special needs animals who need a calm, patient, experienced hand. I've owned a husky and a pit bull for over a decade, and I've fostered countless kittens and puppies. I know what it means to care for an animal through every stage of life and I take that responsibility seriously with yours. When it comes to walks, I ask every owner one question: does your dog like to mosey, brisk walk, or run? Because every dog is different ; and your dog's walk should match their energy, not a one-size schedule. I offer all three, including runs and bike rides for high-drive dogs who need real exercise. At my home: large fenced yard, non-smoking, children who are calm and experienced with dogs, and a routine-first approach. I follow your pet's existing schedule for feeding, walks, and rest to keep their stay as stress-free as possible. Your pet deserves more than a dog lover. They deserve someone who actually knows animals. I keep my availability intentional so every pet gets my full attention. My primary availability is Fridays for walks, drop-ins, run and bike rides, and boarding check-ins, with weekends open for boarding stays. My sweet spot is a Friday afternoon check-in with Sunday morning checkout — perfect for families heading out for the weekend. I’m not available for weekday walks or drop-ins Monday through Thursday, which means when I’m with your pet, I’m fully present; not squeezing visits between a packed schedule. I also welcome extended stays of one week or longer. For families with travel, deployments, or extended commitments, I provide consistent long-term care that keeps your pet in one stable, familiar home rather than rotating through different sitters. I’ve cared for dogs for multi-week stays and understand what it takes to maintain routine, behavior, and wellbeing over time. If you’re looking for a reliable Friday walker, a consistent weekend boarding home, or a trusted sitter for an extended stay in Elk Grove, let’s connect! My home has a large fully fenced yard, a non-smoking environment, and children aged 7-9 who are calm and experienced around animals. I apply the same fear-free handling principles I use professionally — no force, no flooding, no punishment. Pets are never left unsupervised in unsafe situations, and I always follow your pet’s existing routine to minimize stress. For in-home care I treat your space with the same respect and attentiveness I bring to my own. When I’m caring for your pet in your home, I stick to their usual routine as closely as possible. I’ll follow their schedule for feeding, playtime, and walks to keep things familiar and stress-free for them. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities, whether they’re with me or in their own home.

I also received lots of photos of Bella while she was in her care. Bella absolutely loves June. June is a great person and care giver. I will definitely be booking with June again in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
