My father had a stroke and had to go to the ER but unfortunately left his dog in the apt. Kayla was incredibly accommodating in getting access to the dog and making sure it was properly walked and fed. She promptly communicates all details and issues. Thank you so much!!

Krystal was absolutely wonderful with Max! She walked him mornings and evenings while I was away and sent great updates. Max is a sweet boy, but it always takes a special person to make him feel completely comfortable, and Krystal did just that. She is reliable, caring, and super easy to communicate with. I will definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

Justin was the best. He was never late and helped me so much. I was injured so couldn’t deal with my trash bag, Justin helped me throw them away as well. Again he’s the pro and the kindest.

About: I grew up with large dogs, rodents, and have owned many scaly friends. I befriend every stray cat I meet and I stop to help whenever I see a dog that's escaped their home and its safe to do so. I also used to ride horses when I lived in the country. Currently I take care of my thumbnail dart frogs and wish for more animal friends. I am currently unemployed but work on developing my own video game at home. When I am employed my jobs are exclusively remote. I like to go on an evening walk and sometimes I will be out of the house for a few hours at a time. Occasionally I might be out for the night but its generally about once a week or less. My home has a fenced yard, an atrium, 3 bedrooms and 2 living spaces. I also have an alarm system that is armed at night. I am happy to let dogs out in the yard and take them on walks. At my clients home I am happy to sit with your pets to keep them company and read a comic book, draw on my tablet, or play a game on my Switch.

Oreo and I so appreciate Amanda and Hector’s help during these beginning weeks of the new school year! I know Oreo looks forward to going on his lunch potty breaks with Hector where he can sniff to his heart’s content. 🐕 💜 🥰 We truly appreciate Hector’s flexibility when he comes a bit earlier some days due to the hotter weather or Oreo’s needs. We will definitely be requesting Amanda & Hector again!

About: I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and have never known a home without a dog. Since I was little, I’ve helped care for dogs of all kinds by feeding them, walking them, playing with them, and making sure they feel loved and cared for. What sets me apart is that I truly enjoy spending time with animals and building trust with both pets and their owners. I understand that every dog is unique, and I’m dedicated to giving each one the attention, patience, and care they deserve. Pet care isn’t just part of my routine, it’s part of my everyday life! As a dog owner and animal lover, my days already revolve around feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure my pups are happy and comfortable. Because caring for pets is what I love most, turning it into a business felt natural. I enjoy building relationships with dogs and giving them plenty of attention, love, and care while their owners are away. I’d be excited to welcome your pup into my routine, too! Every dog I care for becomes part of the family! I treat each pup with the same love, attention, and care that I give my own dogs. I’ll stick to their routine, keep them happy and comfortable, give them plenty of playtime and cuddles, and make sure all their needs are met. I care for every pet the way I’d hope someone would care for mine, with lots of love, patience, and tail-wagging fun.

About: I’ve had lots of dogs in my family from the time I was 6 years old. I was the main source of taking care of them and creating a safe space for any animal around. I’ve babysat both doggies and kitties throughout these years. Tending to their unique needs and personalities. My special skills consist of understanding and reading the pets behavior enough to help us both feel comfortable. I have experience with dietary restrictions and whatnot to understand the challenges that I may approach. I’m comfortable around any size of dog/cat as well. Another plus side is I’m actively volunteering at shelters to understand and learn more about dogs/cats to gain more skills. I work with doordash which means I create my own schedule and choose when I want to work. Also, I have online college courses. All of my teachers don’t do zoom time with me so I’m mostly independently working with myself. This makes me have more free time throughout the day. I live in an apartment with my family and the apartment does provide a dog park. I usually take my dog there before our long walks. My dog is name Pancho and he is nervous and shy at first with dogs, but he would never attack them. He does like the environment to be calm with the other dog, if it’s not calm and the dog is jumping all over him he will be stressed out and will cry to me or simply move away from the dog and look at me with the ‘mom help me’ face.

About: I currently have two dogs at home that have been raised since they were puppies. I provide consistent routines for our dogs and am confident in my ability to provide stability for your dogs while you are away from home. My home has a fenced off area indoors and outdoors to give your dogs plenty of space to roam around and not have to be fully cooped up all day. I will help your dogs have a home away from home. I currently have a full time job, but my job also allows for work from home so my schedule is based on my ability to be home during your pet’s stay. Even if I need to be in office, I can come home during my lunch break for 30 minutes to tend to the dogs. On weekends I will be home and only go out for a few hours at a time for groceries. I am very familiar with crate training and other simple tricks for dogs. I always feed all dogs separately to ensure no food guarding occurs and we monitor the dogs throughout meal time. I am comfortable with feeding basic medications if needed.

Brittany is amazing! For one, she is very flexible and has been a life saver with squeezing in last minute walks for my dog, Frosty 🐾 but most importantly I can tell Frosty genuinely has a great time with Brittany. Nothing better than receiving photo updates of Frosty and seeing that he is happy and comfortable around Brittany 😊

  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
