Krystal was absolutely wonderful with Max! She walked him mornings and evenings while I was away and sent great updates. Max is a sweet boy, but it always takes a special person to make him feel completely comfortable, and Krystal did just that. She is reliable, caring, and super easy to communicate with. I will definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

About: I grew up with large dogs, rodents, and have owned many scaly friends. I befriend every stray cat I meet and I stop to help whenever I see a dog that's escaped their home and its safe to do so. I also used to ride horses when I lived in the country. Currently I take care of my thumbnail dart frogs and wish for more animal friends. I am currently unemployed but work on developing my own video game at home. When I am employed my jobs are exclusively remote. I like to go on an evening walk and sometimes I will be out of the house for a few hours at a time. Occasionally I might be out for the night but its generally about once a week or less. My home has a fenced yard, an atrium, 3 bedrooms and 2 living spaces. I also have an alarm system that is armed at night. I am happy to let dogs out in the yard and take them on walks. At my clients home I am happy to sit with your pets to keep them company and read a comic book, draw on my tablet, or play a game on my Switch.

About: I have had pets growing up and enjoy them and their company. Oddly enough while walking anywhere if there is an animal it will approach me. My wife says I have "Disney Princess" skills. I have two dogs that I care for everyday throughout the day, however, for others my evenings are the best times to during the week, and anytime during the weekend. I ensure I have a clean home, and monitor what my dogs are around to include knowing what can and cannot come into the house. Having a safe and clean environment allows for a helathy life for pets who are family.

Alexander did an excellent job walking my dogs, Rue and Reo. They were both patient and playful with them, which made a big difference in how comfortable and happy they were during each visit. It’s clear they genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and know how to handle different personalities. I also really appreciated how communicative they were with me throughout the process. They kept me updated during each visit, which gave me peace of mind knowing my dogs were in good hands. I would definitely recommend Alexander to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and my major responsibilities started at about 8 years old. I aided my own senior dog with her health issues as well as my neighbors dog who requires extra medical attention. I am well-versed in dog-breeds and the nature of these animals. I love all dogs and have always been the dog-walker for my neighborhood. I have experience with puppies and am comfortable with large dog breeds. This will most likely be my main job, as I am a university student returning home for the summer. I am super flexible schedule wise and can easily meet any expectations. I have a fenced yard and my own dog who is 10000% dog-friendly. I am used to crate-trained dogs as well as those who may need to be restricted in the house. About: I’ve had lots of dogs in my family from the time I was 6 years old. I was the main source of taking care of them and creating a safe space for any animal around. I’ve babysat both doggies and kitties throughout these years. Tending to their unique needs and personalities. My special skills consist of understanding and reading the pets behavior enough to help us both feel comfortable. I have experience with dietary restrictions and whatnot to understand the challenges that I may approach. I’m comfortable around any size of dog/cat as well. Another plus side is I’m actively volunteering at shelters to understand and learn more about dogs/cats to gain more skills. I work with doordash which means I create my own schedule and choose when I want to work. Also, I have online college courses. All of my teachers don’t do zoom time with me so I’m mostly independently working with myself. This makes me have more free time throughout the day. I live in an apartment with my family and the apartment does provide a dog park. I usually take my dog there before our long walks. My dog is name Pancho and he is nervous and shy at first with dogs, but he would never attack them. He does like the environment to be calm with the other dog, if it’s not calm and the dog is jumping all over him he will be stressed out and will cry to me or simply move away from the dog and look at me with the ‘mom help me’ face.

Hannah was amazing with my dad's dog mollie. Mollie is a cocker spaniel who needed medications and a walk. Since my dad was in his 90s, he could not provide this. Hannah was patient and flexible and the consistent meds and walks made mollie a healthier dog that provided great comfort to my dad in his final days.

Marisa did a great job with our dog Ryu! We made a fairly last minute request and she responded quickly and came over for a meet and greet the following day. She asked good questions about his behavior, we could tell she cared and wanted to be prepared. Ryu took to Marisa and she both walked him and played with him in the backyard, he loves tug of war. We’ll definitely hire Marisa again next time we need help with Ryu!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
