About: Over the past 4 years, I’ve cared for several dogs for friends, family, and referrals, gaining hands, on experience with different personalities, routines, and needs. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and maintaining a calm, structured environment. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and communication, I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m patient and attentive, which works especially well with shy dogs, puppies who need consistency, and older dogs who need a gentler approach. I treat every pet like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits very easily into my daily routine, which means I’m always at home to give pets attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. I have a very flexible and stable schedule that allows me to provide walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship consistently. I also have a friendly 2-year-old Brussels Griffon mix who loves other dogs and enjoys having playmates. My home is calm, welcoming, and set up for pets to feel comfortable and safe. I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding, walks, and any special care needs. In my home, pets are supervised throughout the day. The environment is calm, clean, and pet-friendly. I also provide regular updates and make sure each pet feels secure and well cared for.

Amanda was fantastic! She treated my fur babies like they were her own. She was incredibly accommodating and helpful and professional. I felt completely at ease knowing she would be caring for my pets. She even went above and beyond by allowing me to borrow her doggie stroller for my elderly and blind doggie to use so he wouldn’t feel left out when they went for a walk with my younger dog. I highly recommend her services and I will definitely ask for her services again in the future.

Krystal was absolutely wonderful with Max! She walked him mornings and evenings while I was away and sent great updates. Max is a sweet boy, but it always takes a special person to make him feel completely comfortable, and Krystal did just that. She is reliable, caring, and super easy to communicate with. I will definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

Meredith came by for a meet and greet with Oreo prior to the actual day. My pup loved Meredith’s attention. She took him to the backyard for sunbathing, walked him nearby and also watered the potted plants and planter boxes in our backyard. We will be keeping Meredith in mind when we have need of her assistance.

Marilyn is WONDERFUL and we will definitely hire her again! She sent us several videos and lots of photos so we always knew what was happening with our furbabies. Her calming presence and clear love of animals also helped us feel at ease. Two big packages arrived from Amazon while we were gone. She generously brought them into the house. I know our pups loved her - thank you, Marilyn!!

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and my major responsibilities started at about 8 years old. I aided my own senior dog with her health issues as well as my neighbors dog who requires extra medical attention. I am well-versed in dog-breeds and the nature of these animals. I love all dogs and have always been the dog-walker for my neighborhood. I have experience with puppies and am comfortable with large dog breeds. This will most likely be my main job, as I am a university student returning home for the summer. I am super flexible schedule wise and can easily meet any expectations. I have a fenced yard and my own dog who is 10000% dog-friendly. I am used to crate-trained dogs as well as those who may need to be restricted in the house. They will have my full attention no matter the environment to ensure they are well taken care of.

About: I’ve always loved animals and spent the past year interning at Front Street Animal Shelter, where I gained hands on experience caring for dogs and learning more about animal behavior, safety, and daily care routines. During my internship, I worked with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, which helped me become patient, attentive, and comfortable handling pets with different needs. I’m passionate about providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I have an extremely flexible schedule. This allows me to be available from mornings through late afternoons on most days, making it easy for me to provide consistent, reliable care for pets. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet in my care. I always follow the owner's instructions closely and make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and secure at all times. My experience at an animal shelter has taught me how to read animal behavior, respond calmly in different situations, and create a low-stress environment for pets of all personalities. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to build trust with both pets and their owners through reliable, attentive care.

Hannah was amazing with my dad's dog mollie. Mollie is a cocker spaniel who needed medications and a walk. Since my dad was in his 90s, he could not provide this. Hannah was patient and flexible and the consistent meds and walks made mollie a healthier dog that provided great comfort to my dad in his final days.

Marisa did a great job with our dog Ryu! We made a fairly last minute request and she responded quickly and came over for a meet and greet the following day. She asked good questions about his behavior, we could tell she cared and wanted to be prepared. Ryu took to Marisa and she both walked him and played with him in the backyard, he loves tug of war. We’ll definitely hire Marisa again next time we need help with Ryu!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
