About: With over 40 years of experience caring for animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am experienced with puppies, senior pets, medications, basic first aid, and I pride myself on being dependable, loving, patient, and attentive. My home offers a fully fenced yard, locked gate, covered patio, and dog door access for a safe and comfortable stay. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, daycare, or overnight care, they’ll be loved, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. I walk every morning. I work from home during the week, taking breaks throughout the day. Thankfully my schedule is flexible and many times I like to add in an evening walk as well, weather permitting. Whether in my home or yours, I care for every pet as if they were my own. I provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment while carefully following routines, special instructions, and care needs. My goal is for every pet to feel comfortable and secure, and for every owner to have peace of mind knowing their pet is in trusted hands.
About: I had a beagle from age 6 to 22. From 22 to 36 I had a Maine Coon. I currently have 2 cute ginger cats and a fat grey and white cat. Everyone was a rescue! I own a small business and work from home. I can get to your home in the Elk Grove area very easily and quickly to visit with your critters. We prepare fresh meals for our cats. We haver cat backpacks and crates to transport them around. They like to visit outside and pretend they are still wild. One likes to explore. The other two are afraid of their shadows.

About: I do in kennel enrichment and dog walking at the SPCA. It has educated me a lot about positive reinforcement training, desensitization, compassion, and counter conditioning within dog behavior. I am very understanding of every dog's different temperaments and boundaries. I am the proud owner of Max, an 11 year old Pitbull who has been my best friend for over a decade. I am available anytime after 12pm, where your dog’s established routine becomes my priority. Whether they need strict mid-day feeding times or frequent potty breaks throughout the afternoon, I will be there for your pet. I am able to offer consistent, focused attention, structured enrichment, and companionship exactly when your pet needs it most. Safety is my top priority, with SPCA volunteer training and 11 years with my senior Pitbull, Max. In your home, I strictly follow your routine, maintain your house rules, and ensure all doors and gates stay locked and secure. On walks, my shelter experience means I am hyper-aware of our surroundings, good at reading dog body language, and fully confident being your dog's handler. I will send you regular photo updates so you have total peace of mind.
About: Aside from having cared for my toy poodle for 12 years until he passed, I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family either during the day or entire vacation. Followed owners’ instructions and gave needed updates on pets’ wellbeing. I’m currently a full time student at community college Monday through Thursday, so while I am capable of being home in between classes, your pets will be able to have my full attention and care Friday through Sunday nights. I have a two story house with a fenced yard for your pets to play. I will abide by whatever instructions required to care for your babies, crate and frequently give potty breaks and walks. I provide consistent routines for our dogs and am confident in my ability to provide stability for your dogs while you are away from home. I currently have a full time job, but my job also allows for work from home so my schedule is based on my ability to be home during your pet’s stay. Even if I need to be in office, I can come home during my lunch break for 30 minutes to tend to the dogs. On weekends I will be home and only go out for a few hours at a time for groceries. About: Hi! My name is Liz. I recently re-downloaded Rover after being away for a few years, and I’m excited to start pet sitting again through Rover. I’m a college graduate with years of experience caring for pets through my mom’s Rover account, along with ongoing cat sitting jobs and trusted repeat clients. I’m known for being a great communicator, dependable, and attentive to both pets and owners. I offer house sitting, drop-ins, walks, overnight care, and can also help with light household tasks like bringing in mail/packages, watering plants, pulling trash cans in or out, and keeping your home tidy while you’re away. I especially love caring for senior pets and pets who do best staying in the comfort of their own home. I understand every animal has different needs, personalities, and routines, and I always try to make them feel safe and comfortable while you’re gone. For overnight stays, my fiancé may occasionally accompany me for safety and comfort purposes, but your pet’s care and respect for your home always come first. I’m happy to communicate openly beforehand so everyone feels comfortable and confident. Feel free to message me anytime with questions. I respond quickly and would love to see if we’re a good fit for you and your pets! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I currently have a very flexible schedule during the week. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for pets never feels like a chore to me. I’m very attentive with feeding schedules, playtime, walks, litter box cleaning, medications if needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. At this time, I only offer care in my client’s home because I have an anxious 9-year-old tabby cat at home, and I want to keep his environment calm and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. For overnight stays, I usually stay in the guest room or designated area of the home, and many pets enjoy sleeping nearby or spending time with me throughout the day. I’m very respectful of your home and prioritize cleanliness, safety, and communication. I make sure doors are securely locked, pets are supervised carefully, and feeding, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, and potty breaks are handled consistently. I also pay close attention to your pet’s behavior and comfort level to help reduce stress and keep them happy during your absence. My goal is always to create a calm, trustworthy, and loving environment where both you and your pets feel comfortable and cared for.

I booked Marissa to walk my two dogs for a week. She is punctual, professional and super friendly. My dogs took to her quickly and easily and I didn’t have to worry about them. I appreciate the great care and patience she showed them and will absolutely re-book in the future.

June was very flexible with our last minute changes. She did an excellent job with our little Bella. Bella has recently become almost completely blind. She is definitely a special needs pup. June handled her like a pro. Bella took to her right away. June gave me some great tips for helping Bella adjust to her new circumstances. I also received lots of photos of Bella while she was in her care. Bella absolutely loves June. June is a great person and care giver. I will definitely be booking with June again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
